That would make it too easy for Republicans to pull policy in a direction of their liking. Progressive leaders need to put their foot down and fight. Everyone outside of the top 5%, whether they wanted it or not will live a slightly happier stress free life. Not worrying about their job dictating their families healthcare.
Modern infrastructure that will make travel cheaper. Cleaner environment and healthier food. Proper family leave and mandatory vacation.
The richest of the rich will see a zero or two removed from their net worth but will see an increase in commerce and a more content work force which will in turn translate in to more production and profit not based on greed.
Progressive policies will also strengthen the safety net if automation continues to replace huge swathes of retail, manufacturing and service industries.

If Biden gets the nomination, in a debate with Trump he will focus on being the adult in the room. Calmly speaking, not in a rush. The reason why I think he has come across a fumbler so far in the dem primaries is he is being hit by his own side and on issues he doesn't have the time to explain the history or context of. When he rushes to cram in things he is stuttering but when he takes it easy it's fine.
EDIT: Yesterday Harris and De Blasio constantly kept bringing their points back to him to get a jab in. He held them off. Inslee got a jab in on climate, Booker got a jab in...but generally he defended himself and got a few in himself. Gilibrand self owned taking him on. The point is he is under fire from all of them. If he gets the nomination it is 1v1. Hillary was better in the debates vs Trump but he tried to act like a bully. Biden won't let himself be bullied.

Biden can't talk for 60 seconds off script without stumbling over his words and sounding underprepared. Trump would absolutely annihilate him in a debate based on yesterday and his June performances. Biden is past it. I know the corporate media is going to prop him up until his drop occurs but I can't see how anyone could have watched his 5 hours of debates so far and concluded he is up for it.
I don't think it gets that far myself. I think the difference in intelligence between Warren and him is going to become very clear when they are finally on the same stage together. I really don't think Biden has it in him to finish this primary after seeing him. He's already like a second term Reagan
Trump has never won a debate. That's my point. In the 2016 GOP primaries he was flip flopping all over the place as he was ignorant on issues, never a conservative and actually donated to dems and liberal organisations. In the GE Hillary schooled him on the issues and got panned for being "overprepared" whereas Trump's bombastic conduct got the headlines.

Trump won the 18% undecideds by double digits despite having the same unfavorable and slightly lower favourable.
