Another bump. Seem to be quite regular now.
Its blowing all over the world. When these wankers eliminate the other in there respective countries then they'll start wars.Yup. Dangerous times. The recent far right wind blowing across the west is scary.
What's causing the rise? Genuinely curious. Its blowing all over the world. When these wankers eliminate the other in there respective countries then they'll start wars.
I think you mean, they aren't necessarily *open about their beliefs*.No one takes closet far right extremists seriously either. It's 100 percent a thing and you encounter these people every day. They arent necessarily bad people - theyll be nice to you and waiters etc so no one thinks of them as evil
It's just sad and no one truly cares.
Divisive politics. What's causing the rise? Genuinely curious.
Isn’t that happening already? In Germany many of them are former or current police or military members. They should be trained quite well. And they have easy access to guns and ammunition. German intelligence is likely at least partially responsible for the NSU murders.Just wait until these feckers get properly organized, with training camps, state support, etc. Nightmare.
Hope not.Isn’t that happening already? In Germany many of them are former or current police or military members. They should be trained quite well. And they have easy access to guns and ammunition. German intelligence is likely at least partially responsible for the NSU murders.
It has already started. I think it’ll get much worse soon.
Oh, it'll get far worse, global warming is going to ensure that. Long before anywhere becomes genuinely uninhabitable, resources shortage and the conflicts over those resources is going to drive mass migration to the prosperous and relatively unaffected north. Take a look at the anti-immigration feelings in a place like Poland, and then consider that Poland barely has any immigrants, and was hardly affected at all by the recent refugee crisis. The European right is going to get (further) radicalized, which will push the radicalization of the European left. And those remaining in the middle won't have any answers. We might see 1920s-30s style street-battles in Europe within a few decades.Isn’t that happening already? In Germany many of them are former or current police or military members. As long as it’s mostly non white people getting killed, nothing will be done about it.Hope not.
One thing that has had a large impact on white supremacy and right wing extremism is the internet. Before the internet, the spread of virulent, racist ideas was limited because people weren't publicly discussing these ideas. Social media and the chans provide a gateway that didn't exist before outside of a physical medium. Now, a 16 year old kid can sit at home reading the internet being radicalized without ever meeting someone else to recruit him. Don't get me wrong, Stormfront and other white supremacists groups existed long before the current era of social media, but it has exposed more vulnerable people to these ideas than before. What's causing the rise? Genuinely curious.
I'm just saying a lot of people don't understand that these people come in every walks of life. They will be the ones who will greet you with a warm good morning or tip the waiter a high amount.I think you mean, they aren't necessarily *open about their beliefs*.
Big difference.
Hiding the fact you're a bad person doesn't make you a better person... far from it.
I genuinely wonder why this fear over the "radical left" snaps in when far right terrorists go on a killing spree again. Or over the subject of @HTG's post in this instance, which was German Neo-Nazis and Reichsbürger operating inside the police and military. Based on recent trajectories, I'd expect an *actually* radical left to have little to no significant say in the political tectonics of the upcoming years inside Western societies.Oh, it'll get far worse, global warming is going to ensure that. That's the worst case scenario, anyway. If we can somehow get any kind of handle on climate change, this doesn't happen. But that's up in the air at this point.
I'm sure they don't treat everyone as 'friendly' as that...I'm just saying a lot of people don't understand that these people come in every walks of life. They will be the ones who will greet you with a warm good morning or tip the waiter a high amount.
I knew a really racist guy who fit that but was a nasty dude.
EDIT: point being a lot of them don't see themselves as bad people either
I'm not talking about now, I'm talking about a hypothetical worst case scenario for decades into the future. And I'm not trying to fear monger it. In fact, I'd say the radicalization of the left might very well be good if we see a continuing and worsening radicalization of the right.I genuinely wonder why this fear over the "radical left" snaps in when far right terrorists go on a killing spree again. It is taken seriously in the UK at least. The growing threat has been well documented and a number of plots have been foiled. It’s now the second biggest terrorist threat we have. The scariest thing is it doesn’t feel like we are taking it as seriously as we should, particularly when it comes to crimes committed by other groups.
It read like a "extremism from both sides vs reasonable center" understanding to me*, so I assumed your scenario involved a more-or-less equivalent of today's right wing wave from the left. Which explains the rest of the exchange, I guess. (And I indeed don't think of the US Democrat left, Labour left, the bulk of die Linke and such as radical.)I'm not talking about now, I'm talking about a hypothetical worst case scenario for decades into the future. I don't really agree with your last point either, though it depends on what you call radical left. I doubt we'll see many anarchist bomb throwers running around, but there are still plenty of socialist parties around with sizeable support in their countries. And the continuing decline of social democratic parties might push at least some of their support further to the left. Again, this is a speculation for a worst case of global warming.
You're not getting my point.I'm sure they don't treat everyone as 'friendly' as that...
Think about non-white people dealing with these people - they'll often be able to tell, perhaps not to the severity of the person's mental illness, but there's obviously going to be a non-friendliness there.
Trouble is, as more and more people have been encouraged to embrace xenophobia and jingoistic rhetoric over the last 10 years particularly - there are more and more people acting unfriendly as described above. Which obviously breeds paranoia and social tension.
Ironically I actually think you've misread my post - we're essentially agreeing with each other on the main point, though obviously there will be exceptions to any rule. You're not getting my point.
I'm saying it's not just the unfriendly and rude people that are closet white supremacists or racists. There are a crap ton of "normal" ones that have these feelings.
I'm a non white person who was friends with a white guy for a while. He was the most friendliest person ever. Only later I found out he absolutely detested all the non whites in America .
Had I not made the move to know him personally I would have NEVER guessed this harmless white guy who has black and brown friends is a racist or supremacist so that's my point. No they are not all unfriendly. They hide very well
The RNC actually has someone named 'Adolfo Franco'. That's some symbolismTweet

Not quite Benito Hitlerstalin, but close enough. The RNC actually has someone named 'Adolfo Franco'. That's some symbolism
Fascist party trying to deflect any mention of white supremacy again. If nothing else some of the members of the US Congress have shown the whole world their true colours over the last 3 years.Tweet

Just wait for Fox to defend Trump.Booker keeping it real.
The Dayton guy very likely, I don't think it's known for the El Paso shooter so far. That being said, I'd bet money on both being incels.Do these young men who commit these acts belong to the incel community by any chance?
