Not that I believe for a second we've any chance of signing Eriksen, but who is Gary Jacob?
He’s a noob if he’s believing what he is being told. We aren’t selling Lukaku and signing no one else, Eriksen or otherwise.

It's by far the most believable scenario now, just not what anyone wants to hear.
Not really. Ed loves a late deal and he’ll know there will be outrage if he doesn’t seriously try for something. He’s the master at always giving himself some breathing room.

What you on about? What you said means spurs say no, expiring over
They’ve maybe told us to feck off before, in the hope that one of the Spanish teams come in.

If this hasn’t happened, and they’re desperate to get their targets over the line then they might have given a signal out that United could be an option.

It seems like all the teams were told to wait till deadline day to make it entertaining. Last years was boring.

Article says: Lukaku is now persona non grada at United. United expected him to show up for training today after the players had a day off on monday but Lukaku refused because he no longer feels welcome. He's no longer innocent, he's refusing to work.

So we tell them to feck off and go after their targets instead.

I'm sure he's aware that most of his teammates think he's an absolute dick for putting training data on twitter.

Where the grass is greener.
Never expected the Lukaku business to turn so sour honestly, always seemed like such a wimpy and spineless bloke. Suppose his current actions kind of fit in a way.

Get him out the club.

There have been remarks over the past couple of years about certain types of personalities in the dressing room and it having a negative impact on the others. Think it is fair to say he was most definitely one of them. Sooner he is gone the better.

Exploring the possibility with two days left? Just feck off that should of been done week one
Best time is now. Eriksen has probably been waiting for Madrid to get on the blower all summer and it doesn't seem anyone called.

At this rate Inter will get him for a cut price. This move needs to happen asap.

Sorry but that reeks of contradiction on our part if that's the game we played. If he wasn't interested in joining us early on, then he can feck off now imo. Why did we pull out of Dybala deal again? We pull out of that, but then go for a target that wants to go to Mardid/Barca? Doesn't add up

That is the problem we now have. Inter/Juve now know we need to get rid of him. It is putting us at a disadvantage. Pogba we don't need to get rid of, so we are in the driving seat there.

Yes, and if we wait until our window closes it puts us in a worse position with no chance of augmenting the squad. We should be giving then a 24 hour deadline.

That might be the case, but he may well want to move on.

There was prices mentioned of €100m+ earlier on. If both parties want to move on then this may be much lower now. No harm in trying.

He should get the Icardi treatment if that happens. Ole should make it clear in his press conferences that he's not part of the squad.

If you freeze him out after demanding too high a transfer fee, the net result will simply be that you will sell him next year for a cut price fee, having paid his wages in the meantime and his replacement arriving that much later.

It's time to bite the bullet and just see how much you can get from inter before saying yes and good riddance.

I hate it when we try and sign a player and the other clubs replacement is the better signing. Still don't understand why we're not after Fernandes when we already want half the current Tottenham squad.

We'll want Fernandes in 2 seasons.
Why is Fernandes the better signing exactly? Eriksen has been brilliant in the PL for years whereas Fernandes has ONE good season to his name, nobody had heard of him a year ago.

There is a reason why nobody has made a concrete offer for Fernandes and I reckon Spurs want that Celso kid not him.

If the general feeling here is that we dont care that we over-paid Macguire since it keeps money out of the Glazer's pockets. Therefore, wouldnt it be the same, conversely, if we sold Lukaku for peanuts since it also keeps money away from the Glazers?
:p;)

Which is my stance. As you quoted. Get rid asap.

Lukaku talked a good game about how mentally tough and determined to succeed he is but when it came down to it he had no fight in him to force his way into Ole's plans.
