It’s really weird. We clearly need reinforcements. But we’re seemingly in for nobody

It’s rare that a deal for us comes out of nowhere on deadline day. The closest I can think of is Martial and Falcao, which broke the night before.....

With Lukaku likely to be sold before the English Deadline. It must increase the chances of a replacement being signed. If there was no intention to sign anyone else I don't think this deal would of been done 24 hrs before the deadline.
That's what I'm hoping too.

So we lost Fellaini and Herrera without replacements.
Lukaku will be gone now without a replacement.

Scary stuff
Is it though? Most comments on the caf regarding Lukaku and Fellaini were negative. Not good enough for the club, now they're both gone and we're crying about not replacing players who are supposedly not good enough anyway.

Herrera broke over night, but we made a hash of it on deadline day

I think the replacements are meant to be:

Fellaini ---> McTominay
Herrera ---> Pereira
Lukaku ---> Martial or Rashford (as in, play one of them in their preferred position) with Greenwood as first sub option for the ST position
Talk about a side going backwards

I like McTominay but Pereira is nowhere near the level Herrera is for what he did.
Striker wise, unless Martial or Rashford find some scoring boots, we're still lacking somebody who can score regular goals

Would love to know what the Juve fans feel about Dybala at the moment
Going from posts I've seen from their fans, they've felt that the treatment he has received has been awful and have backed him all the way, and want him to stay.

Unfortunately for both of them, their club doesn't seem too keen on him staying

We have a paper thin squad im mf and no proven goalscorer. So yes it is, a bit.

It is. Lukaku is good enough, he just doesn't fit the style we play.
Nobody scores the goals he did for both Everton and West Brom if he was that bad, he just doesn't fit our system.
Fellaini was still a good option off the bench.

The problem is, it's none of these are going to be replaced which is the issue

70m euros is less than £65m ... He is shit and Inter are shit. We arent getting performance based bonuses.

... and despite this Lukaku/Inter inflow, there won't be any addition to our midfield! How unfortunate!

before bonuses? Or with add ons?

If its with add ons, we arent getting any more
Inter are shit and not winning anything. Lukaku will take a decade to score any meaningful number of goals.

If its 80m euros guaranteed, then fine.. any less and Inter can do one

It’ll be a joke if we don’t replace him.

So many people predicted this exact scenario happening and it’s sad how true it is.

It’s including bonuses. You’re moronic if you think we will ever get more.

Inter finished 4th and are in the CL.

If the bonuses were unobtainable then we wouldn’t agree to them obviously.

He doesn't fit our system and isn't willing to fight for his place. Noone is an automatic starter. If you don't play well you're benched. His attitude since Rashford has started to replace him has stunk.

Pretty sure he's one of the people breeding resentment in the dressing room at the back end of last season.

Please please please take the offer.

So 65m then.

Leicester held on and got what they wanted.

We could have got our money back if we had waited. We have 3 more weeks.

We are terrible negotiators.

I wasn't saying reject the offer. I want him gone as much as the next person
Just crazy we haven't made any transfers in midfield or attack
(Yes James, but I mean established players)

Lukaku kicked up a fuss whereas Maguire didn't. That's the difference in my eyes. I think we'd have held on to him if he stayed professional.
