Like this Chelsea very much. Told this on Sunday as well . Very well drilled and cohesive. Press as a unit and players keep moving.

We were lucky we got them first day of the season. This Chelsea once settled down, wouldn't be easy to play against.

Liverpool have nobody in their midfield even close to the quality of Pogba.
That's true. I mean, Henderson, wijnaldum and the like don't exactly scream creative quality, does it.

The way this Chelsea team plays, they will cause trouble to any team playing a high line. You have to give credit to Ole on Sunday in the second hald to change our system to drop back and counter against them. Lets see how Klopp deals with it. Lets see if he has the tactical nous to realize this.
Of course Klopp realize this, it’s some of his trade marks but does he want to? That’s a different question. We know Pep would not change the philosophy...

I think after everyone plays 10 or so games, we'll have a good picture of what the season could look like. Too many of us are obsessed with drawing conclusions this early

the amount of ball Chelsea are winning in MF is repelling the LFC press, for me

win the ball back & exploit the nominal DM (Fabinho) being caught out of position when they do, leaves them attacking the CBs who don't look so comfortable when that happens

I like it

The Pulisick pronunciation is bad enough but "Matt-yo" Kovačić annoys me equally.
But that is how you pronounce the latter name though, and they probably call Pulisic that because he's American and they don't tend to stick with literal pronunciations.

It's just the midfield and right wing, man. If we had just got a right winger and 2 midfielders, we wouldn't have been under siege from chelsea in the first half. Mctominay can't hold the midfield alone when Periera and Lingard are just not pulling their weight.
Forgot they were on the pitch for the first 30 minutes. But as Ole says, we're a work in progress. and how good Chelsea look tonight won't change the fact that they were shit in defence and we took advantage with our pace. We won 4-0 and they can rue their missed chances but that's football.

Hopefully we'll learn that we can't concede as much possession in midfield and win games.

Did you mean maybe it WAS lucky? Otherwise this makes no sense...
It makes sense, it means we have actually a manager and a team that is able to hurt even the best teams, like Chelsea...

People went way over the top about Chelsea on Sunday. I like how Lampard's got them playing so far. Very good to watch.

fecking hate Steve McMannaman. Hated him as a player, hate him as a pundit. He's just an absolute bellend with no redeeming qualities.

Why did the lineswoman let the play run on for so long for that disallowed Pulisic goal? He seemed pretty far offside and he carried the ball a mile, checked back & stuck it in the net before offside was called?
That's the rule.

Should it be "Poo-Lee-Sich"? That what I've been saying.
Pulišić (-shitch). Though to be fair he wasn't born in Croatia and the name has been Americanised. Just sounds stupid to me. In Germany no one called him - sick (no pun intended).

It's staggering how many people think Liverpool were lucky last season!

You don't get 97 points and a Champions League win by luck!

I am personally hoping for gomes to be given a chance. That guy is great.

Looking at Liverpools defence - they have so little depth. Why did they get rid of Lovren? if they get a couple of injuries they could really struggle.

We started the 17-18 season with Klavan, Lovren and Matip as our CB's and were stuck like that until we signed Van Dijk in January.

Crazy isn't it?
