    Good good half.

    - VL being really poor, few missplaced passes, one clearance in Jones fashion

We wont break many buses with Lingard as number 10, he lacks most important quality of number 10 player. Sure he can press and run but when we need actually something to create, it will be a problem i think.

Everyone else are decent/good or above.

That's the most I've enjoyed a half of football from us in as long as I can remember.

It's not flashy but we're just doing all the basics so well. Calm, commanding centre backs, fullback who are defending well but offering great energy and width in attack. McTominay isn't giving them an inch the middle and Pogba is demanding the ball everywhere and using it well. Then the lads up front are harrying and pressing and then moving well when we do have the ball.

Really, really delighted with that 45 minutes against a good side.

Maguire and AWB have made us a much more solid unit. Attacking wise we can improve but as long as we are not giving away stupid goals we are creating enough.

The front line are pressing the crap out of Wolves and they are completely out of their rhythm
That's a big reason why they haven't been able to counter cuz they have had to keep going back to GK. And while I am not a big fan of his Lingard has been instrumental in that.

Don't get the James critisim. Should've done better on a couple of occasions but he more than made up for it by winning the ball back at the inception of their counter attacks.

I love it when I see James running back at a million miles an hour to retrieve the ball with a look of such tenacity on his face.

Then I remember he's on a yellow and my heart skips a beat while it plays out.
Good half that, good pressing, crisp passing.

Martial should have not that chance first time... as long as he gets it past the goalie, it's in.

Pogba needs to stop with his lackadaisical passing.
He is still giving the ball away far too often in dangerous areas.
I agree with those who said that it was a good performance by United.
Far more positive and so far, we look much fitter and much more mobile.

Wolves have offered nothing so hard to call this any more than a decent half from us.

I’d like to see us move the ball a bit quicker, could do with Lingard dropping back centrally to create some angles for our double pivot to pass to.

The pitch seems really slow tonight too.

Was the first one a dive from James? They did not show a replay on Sky. Unless I missed it?

James wasn't fouled but he didn't dive either. I thought they just collided, an accident
I think he got clipped on the shin by Moutinho's trailing leg when he cut across him. Never a yellow and the home crowd definitely made the decision for Moss.

Great half. Once we get a true creative midfielder instead of Lingard then we have the makings of a very good team.

James looking as everyone should expect, bags of pace but a very raw player.

Lingard keeps drifting right and feels almost like he's hiding at times, it's leaving gaps in the middle

Lindelof, Pogba with some loose passing at times.

However, completely dominant, it's nice to see us actually pressuring and harrying them instead of standing off them, James pace makes for great recoveries and AWB is a god, nothing gets past this guy.

Midfield just needs a massive upgrade.
Garbage. Lingard's role in the goal was key. He is playing a great fluid closing down role and linking play.

Looking very good aren't we. Nobody Is playing badly, a few are slightly below the level of others but they haven't been bad. It's been a team performance and quick frankly, I'm loving it.

    Good first half.

The main thing that strikes me is the composure. It seems as though we know not to just boot it out in a panic. Looks much more controlled than last season.

Difficult defence to breakdown but we could have had 2 easily. Pressing has been good. Occasional miss play in midfield from which they look to break but overall feeling good after that half.

Well done lads. Keep it up please.

Mata for Lingard will likely happen. Or Mata for James and put Lingard on the right.

Saw some posters comment how we're just a counter-attack team and nothing has changed since Jose. Whats up fellas?

You look super comfortable. That Lindelof moment where he messed up would have resulted in a goal last season. You don’t panic now when brain farts happen but rectify.

There have been a few suicide passes/sloppy moments but they’ve been glossed over by the rest of the performance. Still a bit of work to do in terms of playing the big boys but a good platform to build from.

I know everyone hates lingard but he is doing a very good job getting back the ball from wolves or forcing them to give up posession. Trash with the ball though
A number 10 who is useless with the ball is an oxymoron. Does he create? Does he score? No he just runs around like a headless chicken out there.

Why is Moutinho the cnut when James is to blame for diving?
Pogba didn’t touch him and Moutinho conned a foul. What I don’t understand is they did a VAR check to see if there was a stamp, but there was no contact at all, why don’t they then reverse the decision?
