Nooooo! Any united fan must never wish for Liverpool to win the league. I know Klopp is a fellow german and all that, but feck that. You are a red devil first and foremost! I am already getting it from my Liverpool supporting friends over '6 times'. If those cnuts ever win the league...
Putting the rivalry aside, I have begrudging respect for Liverpool. I know it's touch to stomach but I'm so jealous of them. Klopp has transformed their team from an underachieving mediocre bunch of players to the best team in the world. It's no coincidence that players like Kagawa, Sahin, Coutinho all underperformed after they left. I've come to accept that it's a matter of time Liverpool would win the league so why not let a German win it for them? :wenger: Klopp would feel that he's achieved everything and hopefully, this would force the DFB to come calling for Klopp, to tempt Klopp to come manage the German NT which would be the most ideal dream for every German and Man Utd fan. What I'd kill to have for a manager like Klopp for Man United now.

You really are a dumbass if you think they are both mutually exclusive.
And you really are an utter moron if you can’t fathom a single scenario where that is the case.

Can you believe I turned down a ticket to this game so I could watch United on illegal stream?
Is it free? Why would you turn down a live football match that is telecast after United. You could have watched both games.

I swear that injury to laporte liverpool are going to win the title and worse is I think they will go unbeaten this season.
Despite the poor season we are having don't rule out Utd ending their unbeaten run in October.

Norwich have fell victim to the exact same sucker punch as Spurs at The Emirates two weeks ago.

I was offered it late and wasn’t at home, so would’ve had to travel to the game during the United game.

Yes, because it's an all time eleven based on quality and what they did for their clubs. Aguero is a superior player to Shearer and was integral to multiple league title wins.

Matt Le Tissier has more PL goals than Ronaldo, would you put him in over him?
Alan Shearer played in some pretty weak times during his career, yet he scored a hatful of goals for each of them. He's one of the greatest strikers ever to grace the game

Aguero is, and has been for some time, the focal point of one of the greatest PL teams in its history. Would he have performed half as well as he's done with City while playing for Southampton and Newcastle?

Said this the minute he got stretched off. That injury has handed Liverpool the title. You can't win a title with Otamendi and Stones in defense.

Fair point. You could make that argument for pretty much any great player though. Would Zidane have been as effective playing for Deportivo? Would Henry bang them in for Fulham? It's all hypothetical.

We did in 2017/18.

I'd agree with you if we had one game left, were 4 points clear and playing a relegated side at home. We're good so far but I can't get too far ahead. This City side are exceptional and like last season, we could easily lose a match and the title to them

Fair enough, I'd still attempt to make an effort to travel to the game anyway considering how expensive football tickets are now. Are the ticket prices in England still so expensive?

Schmeichel
Neville Ferdinand Terry Cole
Ronaldo Scholes Lampard Giggs
Aguero Henry

There are always personal preferences of course.

Aguero may end up outscoring him, but it's not like Shearer is a silly choice by any means.
He didn't always have the luxury of playing for such a chance creating goals animal of a team either.

A lot would have Keane or Gerrard over your Lampard pick as well. (or over Scholes)

I think most of the rest are no brainers.

They're 2-1 down and it's almost half time mate. This will take a huge turnaround for even a draw. Even for City.
Hehe, ok. :) I'm pretty confident City will score at least 3 more goals in this one. Norwich are strangely overrated by many in my opinion. They'd be fighting for relegation if not for some interesting quality in attack I feel. Knowing Tetty for instance since his junior days at Rosenborg, I'm baffled he's still playing in this league. Would love to have him back at Rosenborg though, but that saying more about the Norwegian league than him.

The "Liverpool champions" posts are getting tiring. It's only September. Give it a rest!
It's genuine worry mate.
We all saw how tight it was last year, but we presumed the amount of lucky breaks Liverpool were getting would be a one off.

This year they've won 5 without those breaks.

City meanwhile, have a star winger out for the season, their main centre back out for 3/4 of the season, and most importantly...

are losing today

Nah you will win the title this season. I'm very confident of that. Lost the CL final to Real Madrid the season before last season and you came back stronger to win the CL last season. Finished with 97 points last season which would have won you the title in ANY other seasons but due to the freak of a nature phenomenal City, you lost it by one point. People underestimate how tough it is to retain a title, motivation etc. That's what makes SAF such a phenomenal manager. This season you would win it I have no doubt about it. Congratulations in advance.
