31? Crazy to think he could still have been playing for us with a little more luck and a bit more professionalism.

He's still young, don't write him off just yet. He may be one of those late blossomers.

Only 31? Good stuff. Usually it’s ‘x player turns 45’ making me feel like I’m close to retirement.

He was usually quite good at Old Trafford, shite in away matches though.

He was good in his debut season and in a few other spells - partnering Carrick in 10/11 through a lot of big scorelines, and that tiny bit at the start of 11/12 with Cleverley. I liked him, he offered something different than all our other midfielders.

The patience this guy got from portions of the fan base was incredible.

Nani, Anderson and Hargreaves.

In the end it turns out only Nani had any form of a meaningful career in football.

I saw his debut for us in a reserves match and I thought he looked nothing particularly special what with his over hit passes and odd decision making.
But he was young guy coming off the back of a big injury and a big move so you'd give him the benefit of the doubt but, really, minor a few flashes of quality and some comical moments he ended up to be a extremely underwhelming purchase.

Weird to think he's the same age as Matic. We bought them 10 years apart.

He turned in some big performances in big games in his first season, think that bought him a lot of time. Also there was definitely the feeling that he was nowhere near meeting his potential.

Hargreaves had a great career up to about 2009 and when the injuries really started to kill his seasons. Was arguably England's best player in 2006 world cup aswell.

Did Anderson ever play for Brazil in international tournament?
