He reminds me of Evra. If we develop him correctly and he steers clear of serious injuries, we could have a gem on our hands.

Dont take much to get rewarded a new contract at United nowadays
Pathetic post. The state of you calling this a bad move or implying that it's a bad move.

overreaction at it's finest and an overemotional response from a member of staff. "one shall not question the clubs moves or exude caution or face perma-ban"
Nothing to do with 'shall not question the club move'. Young players with potential will get contract as they are asset to the club, club won't let them to walk out on a free transfer. It's a basic common sense move.

To be honest, @Stacks has a point.
Youth will get more chances and have a higher chance of getting a contract renewed, than under previous coaches.
But then again, I get why people will say a statement like that is bad fanship.

It's just logical though. Think people are quick to judge here.

its literally 18 months after signing a pro contract with us and follows one or two 1st team appearances. seems very hasty. perfectly logical thought process but apparently that's illegal.....

First contract will be for 2-3 years, so his contract was due for renewal. It's not like he will be getting shit loads in wages, it's just young player who is playing very well for youth team is getting contract beyond 2020. It's sensible move.

Your post was pathetic. Why did you make it? Do you just love winding people up?, or do you genuinely think Williams shouldn't be given a contract? If you think Brandon is a weak player - please tell us why - by detailing his weaknesses.

He's probably had a wage increase from 3-500 a week to £2000 a week. It allows us to extend his contract to further protect our investment.

It just seems a very odd thing to moan about, you seem pessimistic about all things and it's just a bit draining!

An England u20s international will get a contract under any coach.

His previous deal was also expiring.

There was nothing logical about his post.

Ah yeah the club was haste in renewing a contract of young talented player just six months before his contract was expiring. Good logical stuff.

Start him on Sunday
Williams against Salah? sure what could go wrong.

While Young isn't great he's usually done alright defensively against Salah before.

Not to mention he's been fantastic in the reserves. Why wouldn't we want to keep him?

A pacey, skillful English left back who can cross with both feet? Nah no thanks.

Yeah Williams vs Salah would be suicide.

Did not look he was comfortable with his left foot. Always tried to go with his right when played with the senior.

I assumed it would be longer initially or our usual 1-year extension option

Why would you be wound up? are you so fragile and easily triggered? If that triggers you, with all that goes on in the world you need help mate.

I am neither moaning nor pessimistic? I actually have very little emotion invested in this particular case. I leave the hysteria for every one else until dudes get shotted like Borthwick Jackson, Love, Mcnair and all the rest.

Williams has proved at under 18 level and this year in particular at under 23 level that is capable and plays with intensity and fire.
His debut was excellent and if nurtured correctly has a big future with us. He is more capable of a first team spot than any of our youngsters and i include Greenwood in that who still looks very raw and doesnt really get involved in the play that much.

Which one of "Brandon" or "Williams", sounds more black than the other  ?
Look,I know where you're coming from and i agree but which one of Marcus (posh Etonian) and Rashford 'sound black'? Which part of Jon Jones sounds black?

I agree with your point but I think so many youth prospects nowadays are mixed race lads that I just automatically assume that. Now, McTominay I would never assume, admittedly.

Someone will paint this as racism or grey area racism. I genuinely don't care. It isn't.
