The TAA “dodgy defender” shout is overstated; as for Robertson, don’t think any side targets him as a soft opponent. He’s rarely bossed in any significant way.
TAA goes high up the pitch, isn't great 1v1 and gets no cover from Salah. Robertson has more cover with Mané tracking back which makes a big difference over 90 minutes.

Robertson gets bossed sometimes by good players but that's understandable. If your tactics leave your full backs exposed against players like Zaha, Aubameyang, Sterling etc. they will get taken advantage of. Doesn't even have to be that high of a quality players. We saw it in the early games with United as well where Shaw was getting exposed, often 1v2 because Rashford was seemingly instructed to not track back like a winger when he was out on the left.

People put too much expectations on full backs to be able to comfortably defend agains some of the best attackers with some of the most space. In TAA's case he can be targeted and has been targeted. High ball out to the winger with TAA not properly in line and he can struggle to recover. You can't expect it to work but it has worked multiple times for teams.

United are 4-1 for a win.

Thats the biggest Odds ive ever seen for United as the home team against Liverpool.

    Paddy power has a 6-1 special for United to win 1 -0 , 2-0, or 2-1.

Crazy odds in Theory and those lads do the maths.

    Hoping for a miracle

    Romero
    AWB Tuanzebe Maguire Young
    McTominay Matic Fred
    James Martial Rashford
    De Gea
    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Pereira
    Gomes
    Greenwood

I could get behind that team tomorrow. De Gea over the past year doesn't warrant a place over a fully fit Romero. Tuanzebe has been better than Lindelof.

I'd have Matic vs Winaldum, McTominay vs Henderson and Freds energy vs Fabinho and neutralise the midfield.

AWB vs Mane, Tuanzebe and Maguire vs Firminho and Young vs Salah as he's pocketed him previously atleast twice.

James to match the energy of Robertson... Martial to try and isolate Matip and take him for a run, and Rashford to get in behind Trent and keep him honest by cheating and not always defending.

Best we can do atm is go out to firstly contain Liverpool and see if we can score on the counter or a set piece.
DDG does not warrant a start stopped reading after that

I agree he gets targeted but it isn’t regularly successful in terms of leading to goals or a flurry of chances. In a team of few real weaknesses I think it makes sense to target the 21 year old FB, but that’s because there aren’t other options available to opponents. But that’s entirely different to saying he’s weak defensively.

In truth, he’s not a dodgy defender in any traditional sense of what that means. I think it’s only a talking point because it’s a relative weakness in comparison to his stunning attacking game.

I wouldn’t touch us even at 6-1. Honestly don’t think I would go anywhere near a United win before 12-1 and even then I’d feel like I was pissing it away.

Don't waste your emotions. So they turn us over 4 nil? The football world gives a big fecking yawn. It's about what's expected. Just get caned or trash someone's living room, make the day memorable for another reason.

Still going for the 4-1 win. They’ll test us but wont be able to handle our counter.

My Liverpool supporting colleague has started to tease me already. I don't even wanna imagine it for those who live in England.
Same here, my Liverpool supporting roommates have been taking the piss out of me. What I would do for a win today...

United will do well to get that one. Not sure we'll concede 4 though. Unless we concede very early

Yep. Once. Some random one round the corner fron salford quays. A big waste ground round the back of some hotel.

Took about 30mins to get to the main road.
A never again job. Not even cheaper than than the club carparks

Not sure how much better we were. We had 5 shots that day and 32% possession. The type of thing Solskjaer would get slaughtered for right now.

Lukaku and Sanchez in March 2018 was a better attack than anything we have now but they still weren't producing much.
I don't think so. If we win today with 10% possession, no one will care.

Just park on a ‘park and ride’ tram stop and get the tram to either Old Trafford or Exchange Quay.

Sale Water Park always seems to have spaces even on match days I’ve found.

Proper stink the place out 0-0 until the 94th minute then win via a van dijk og.

I'd prefer that to a 3-0 United win in many ways just for the pain it'd cause them.

No doubt. We weren't a 'million times better' back then though we were just clinical with our chances. Even then (when 2nd in the league) we weren't favourites to win the game.

I think it ll be either a big win for Liverpool or a 1-0 for us. Much depends on who scores first

I certainly wouldn't rule out a drab 0-0 affair. This is United vs Liverpool after all.
These games do ,more often than not, produce some pretty dull games.
