He has been so good since the World Cup too.
Since Spalletti managed to get into his head and finally make him realize his potential, january 2018. World class player now

Inter and Barca group getting spicey, seems like all these teams can take points off of each other.

Impressed by Inter, very compact defensively and counter well. They could frustrate a lot of the stronger teams if they make it out of their group.

Nice to actually win away from home in the group stage this season. Only the second time we've done that under Klopp in the Champions League.

Conte is doing excellent job in Inter.
Having said that; 2.0.
Brozovic is such a good player. I would give 100mil for him. Or 120 and Jones:wenger:
Good player but no way he is worth 100m.

120m plus Jones for De Vrij and Martinez would be a steal.

It was a stonewall penalty, period

Hummels lunges for the ball (and actually makes contact with it), Lautaro puts his leg in front of his challenge and goes down. I don't think that was an attempt to play the ball, nor did he have a genuine chance to get infront of Hummels.
I don't know if VAR has to intervene, but to me it was anything but stonewall.

Are we watching the same image? Esposito is clearly ahead of Hummels who has no chance to get to the ball without bringing him down

Tbf it was abit of a desperate lunge that left the ref with no choice. He came in from behind and through the legs.

Hummels is slow as feck though. Should have just fouled him outside the box.

Barca have done very well blowing the Neymar money on Coutinho and Dembele, and now they want to buy Neymar back to put the cherry on the cake.

Lukaku looks so heavy. It's been a issue for over a year now and he still hasn't seem to make much progress Starting to think he has a thyroid issue..
Didn't he lose like 12 kg since leaving United?

Watching us play, i get slowly to the point where i can't believe it. Such a great squad, you can do anything with it, great depth for a lot of roles, suited to emotional offensive football. And then we progress the whole year into this which we are seeing now. If Favre doesn't get out of hole he won't be at Dortmund for long. Why he set up a match so full of fear? Why are a lot of players playing out of their position despite that we got great players therefor? Why he changes nothing in game?
I wouldn't mind Favre's shy communication in the public, but if the first things, on the pitch, are so shy like this, it getting on my nerves.
It seems that Favre doesn't realize the amount of emotional potencial in the club nor the potencial of the squad. Its a pity.

That was Liverpool's first away win in the CL group stages for two years. Without taking away from Liverpool's fine and long overdue away win at that stage of the competition its worth noting Genk are 6th in Belgium and only recently lost 6-2 to Red bull Salzburg basically they are out of their depth in the champions league and would probably struggle in the Europa league also.

Chelsea with a lot of youth in their side and with rookie manager beating Ajax away was more impressive.

That's like half a second before, Hummels was level with him and beginning to push him off the ball. If you look at the first picture again, at Esposito's supporting leg and movement - that's not a step he's taking, it's not a running motion. He knows what's coming and lunges infront of Hummels in order to get fouled.

I do agree with @thepolice123 that it was high risk/reckless and that's why I can understand the ref giving it and VAR not intervening, but I don't think Esposito has any intention of progressing the attack at the point contact is made.

Seems like Luisito and Dembouz' wastefulness has finally rubbed off on him :D
He did swing his right leg into thin air in front of goal, missing the ball, agains Eibar over the weekend. Still a bit rusty. He's in his pre-season phase still.

Esposito's already overextended and losing his legs. It was almost a half field run whilst being pressured on both side by defenders. Even if he got that extra touch, I doubt he'd have the balance to take a solid shot anyway. He sold the PK and Hummels bought it. Pretty daft of him to dive in.

You somehow forget about there 0-0 against Napoli....how convenient.

I think that's a fair way of putting it.

Amazing the difference between the Oxlade-Chamberlain that played for Wenger, to the one who plays for Klopp.

What a comeback from injury.

Shows the difference an elite manager makes on a player, compared to an overrated one.

I'm shocked that Napoli managed a win. They were terrible away last season. Their goalless draw against Genk was their 10th CL game away without a win I believe. Even lost 2 of their 3 away matches in the EL last season.

I think it’s more that he fits into Klopp 4-3-3 pretty much perfectly.
Pretty much, was the same when he moved Lallana deeper before injuries hit him. He has improved Oxlade in certain ways no doubt but the nucleus of his game was already there and built and Southampton and Arsenal. Klopps man management and style of play as well as identifying he’s not a wide forward for him is what’s got him to this level.
