He will build his best team at Spurs.
The ad just writes itself: Are you a top half team in dire straits but desperately want a top-4 finish and lots of drama? Worry no more. Just dial 1-800 436 1009 and we'll sort it for you.I've been saying that Mourinho is the Sam Allardyce of the top half teams.

I agree, that purple jacket is an abominationAbsolutely disgusting.
What’s the beef between him and Jody? He's made what appears to be a subtle dig at Jody Morris's record with the academy in his interview.
I mean I get he may want to hit back at Jody but of all the routes to go down he chooses that one, he might aswell have criticized Fergie's PL record while he was at it

That's violet or magenta.I agree, that purple jacket is an abomination
Where will the money come from, he wasnt happy with the financial support he had at Man Utd so im not sure he will be able to 'build' with Sours who have even less financial resources, and if they dont make the CL for next season it will be even worse. He will have to dig in at Spurs and get back to his coaching roots rather than relying on the Chairman to bail him out. And if Levy does have a war chest to give to Mourinho why didnt he go all out and get the very best for Poch especially after they made the CL final. He will build his best team at Spurs.

Morris was a coach of our youth side during Jose's second stint and has hinted in a few interviews that Jose didn't give a feck about and never watched the academy (so there is some bitterness there).
Ohh ok, thanks chaps x
Most recently Jody mocked one of his comments as a pundit on social media.
In the longer term Jody has not been shy in voicing his displeasure at the lack of chances for academy players down the years, something he referred back too as recently as his interview on BT before the Ajax (home) game.
To avoid the 'eritage post-match interview. So what are the realistic targets for Mourinho's Spurs this season?
Well considering they need an entire new defense - he had better.Something tells me Levy will back him in the transfer market. They've been consistently improving, albeit slowly, for the last 10 years. Now they are in a position to capitalise on the infrastructure and penny pinching over the years, this is a club on the up, and have done it the right way. 2-3 Top quality signings in, and if he can keep hold of the top players all there, wouldn't surprise me if he can close the gap on scouse and city. That's if he has his mojo back (he's back in London with his family so he'll be buzzing).
On the other hand it could all go tits up and he'll be crying at the beginning of the season because Levy is being a tightwad and be gone by next Christmas.
No, that's not what I'm saying. Don't misrepresent what I'm trying to say. My point is that Maguire wouldn't make a difference to our defensive issues at the moment because our defensive issues aren't to do with our defenders, they're to do with our midfield which isn't pulling its weight when we don't have the ball. If we'd signed him he'd be getting exposed just as badly as Otamendi and Stones are and he'd be down as one of the flops of the season.Sorry but you're telling me you'd rather have the calamity that is your current back four rather than Maguire who has been a solid and proven PL performer this season and every other?
Sigh.
Even though what he said was correct. But I do take the point. To avoid the 'eritage post-match interview.
It's so pathetic to see. I feel like people are praying their beloved "Jose" does the best he can to spite our club and to fuel their own need for drama, so they can keep moaning and being disrespectful to our current manager and players. Some posters (acolytes) in here will be salivating at the prospect of defending this bellend all across the United forum.

That should be easy, Spurs have no 'eritageTo avoid the 'eritage post-match interview.
Depends on whether they achieve CL football next season or not. At this point, it looks fairly unlikely. What's gonna happen in the summer when Levy limits his warchest to under 100mil ?
I'm not surprised by this cause when Jose Mourinho was the manager of our club the general media and a lot of our fans were throwing around the claim that he is 'holding the club back because he was resistant to the idea of a director of football figure being implemented'. Yet Duncan Castles repeatably mentioned on his Transfer Window Podcast that despite his initial concerns, Jose had actually requested to Ed Woodward to appoint Luis Campos and yet this request was denied and then the media were briefed that it was Jose's fault for the club not having a person for that role.Tweet

I agree, that purple is hideous.Absolutely disgusting.
I think he is still a good manager, how well he does depends on how he handles himself after being denied what he thinks he needs. Even last season when he had lost the dressing room and was in total meltdown there were few signs that he still knew what he was doing - I am think of that Newcastle comeback and the win away to Juve.I think Spurs have made a massive cock up, in appointing Jose, he will as always get the best out of them, but a new manager always more often than not gets a reaction from the players.
He's got the best striker in the league, but so did Poch! Just got a feeling it's a bridge to far for him with this club.
José Mourinho has been told that he will have to work with Tottenham’s existing squad as there is no money for an overhaul in January. The manager, who has taken over from Mauricio Pochettino on a three-and-a-half-year contract, has entered the role with his eyes open as to the financial realities at the club and it was noticeable that on Wednesday evening he talked up the players he has inherited. Mourinho also claimed he was looking forward to working with the academy players.
Rui Faria is a manager now.Interesting he's gone for a difference choice as assistant, 30 year old who was recently at Lille. Guess that means he's cut ties with likes of Rui Faria and the older guy who came with him to every club?
