Pretty evident that he only trusts Martial or Pogba when attacking, he only tries to pass to them otherwise takes things solo.
I would disagree given the amount of times he ignores Martial being in far better positions. The only person he probably ignores more is Shaw and all the overlaps he makes past him although I see today he is adding Greenwood to the list.

the only person who consistently gets passes from him is Lingard.

He's done well to score 11 so far in a struggling team. He should have more with some of the chances he's got but it is what it is. He could finish the season at around 20 which would be a massive step in the right direction in his development. If he could only become more clinical he could become an absolutely dangerous forward.

I would say he should keep doing it. Being selfish or no, honestly I think he's been utilising his strength very well, I just don't want him to think too much with what he needs to do for his next move if it means he needs to be less selfish. His main asset is his shooting, energy & pace, it's okay to be selfish with those assets. And they are lethal to goalkeeper & defenders. 11 league goals in half season is very good number, he's basically just behind Vardy & Aubameyang as top scorers.

Rashford's goal was the most encouraging thing about that whole game. A full back actually getting to the line and putting in a quality cross and a striker scoring a "simple" goal through pure determination.

I can't remember the last time the team scored a goal like that.

The most impressive thing about Rashford is his developing maturity. He strikes me as a player who is really keen to improve. That is very different from how he behaved under Mourinho.

If he goes at current rate, then he should be near abouts 30 goals for this season which will be amazing return.

For non CFs, only Messi scored more goals than Rashford in top 5 leagues. In PL Rashford scored more goals than anyone for non CFs.

21 goals + assists
32 chances created
46 dribbles completed
15 tackles
4 penalties won

Those are his season stats. He is contributing to goal scoring, creating chances, taking on players, defensive side.

16 goals already after all the shit he got here. Love it, absolutely love it.
But would you not swap him for Abrahams etc?
Maybe we should wait until another youngster has a decent run of form and compare him favourably to Marcus so we can properly assess his talents.
Lord knows those threads are never created / bumped when Marcus plays well

Yeah what happened to the famous 'Is it time to burst Rashford bubble' thread. That was great.

How is it possible he's scored so many and yet I don't have confidence in him to put away a clear-cut chance at goal?

The Caf is a random place. Rashford putting these numbers in another shirt and this place would be making threads askin if he is the current best British player.

I think it's because he's not a very clinical finisher with whom one would feel confident he'd most likely than not finish but he's a player that knows how to get himself into plenty of goalscoring position which is a major strength of his.

I look at players like Salah and he isn't exactly that deadly clinical but he gets himself into load of goalscoring positions which means he'll still score plenty.

Great to see he is working on that side of his game. He will be a formidable attacker if he can bang those headers in. It has been a weakness for him, perhaps he can turn it around!
Header is an important tool to add another 2-5 goals a season. Don't think any of our attackers are particularly great at it like say Chicha was. If they can unlock that it will be a boost to our attack.

Good header from him. But he needs to use his teammates a lot more. Especially when they are in better positions.

I thought he was on 15 goals, rather than 16. Hopefully he gets on the scoresheet again so we beat Burnley.

The Dubious goals panel took away his goal against Villa, I don’t think that’s been reflected in his Caf stats.

It's great that he's scoring and if it helps team win, he's done his job. But he still needs to do it the next season as well. It's funny how other players are called one season wonder and all. Rashford's criticism comes from the salary he's on and for that he has to do it next season again. Till then let us not draw too many conclusions already.

What a shit post. “Rashford’s criticism come from the salary he’s on and for that blah blah blah”.

Right now is what’s important right now, and our top scorer, most dangerous player and easily our best big game player is rightfully on a good salary, he’d get paid even better if we’d be stupid enough to put him on the market.

Because he's missed a lot of simpler chances. Right now he seems a scorer of great goals rather than a great goal scorer. Look at the offside where ref waited to call it and he ended up missing it. And there was the even simpler one I think against Norwich or someone where it was easier to score than miss when cross came to him at back post.

Hopefully will develop that calmness required for the simpler finishes, learn to get some more of those poacher type goals - be a deadly combination with what he is doing right now.

I think it has to do with those games he played as CF during Martial his injury. He was really bad during those matches. 3/4 out of 10 ratings during those games.

Next season or not we can easily draw a conclusion he's already a very good player who can get only better. If criticism comes from the salary it's rather silly imo. I mean that would be warranted if he wasn't proving time and time again how good he is to the he's another Welbeck crew and the sort.
