My question to those who feel Pogba is pushing for a move and doesn't want to play for us again is, why would he play those two games against Watford and Newcastle? It would have made sense to just wait for the Jan window and force a move then, wouldn't it?

How's he gone from saying what he said before to that? Is that definitely real, because I know there's been some made up quotes regards Pogba and Raiola before?
I think he is annoyed that the club leaked the negotiations for Haaland. My feeling is Raiola was trying to get more money out of us due to the Pogba situation and settled with Dortmund for losses terms just to spite us.

There could have been a bid come in once whoever is after him seen he was back to fitness and looking fine. You never know how a player will come back after a long injury lay off, and Pogba looked like he'd never been out.

If he is on his way we absolutely must have at least one replacement lined up, otherwise it's insane to just let him go with every club in the world knowing we have £100m to spend on a shiny new CM.

If he's not travelling alone, this is extremely suspicious and it's hard to convince anyone it's due to yet another injury.

We are already in need of 2 central midfielders, if he leaves & is replaced with simply a cheaper option [as I suspect has been the plan all along] I will not be in the least surprised.

He’s been scapegoated to the point selling him & buying someone slightly less overpriced will be championed.

It would be hard to find a more expensive option currently unless Ed has lost his marbles again

We are suck a mess in the market and in terms of keeping our players.
Ole may make those sticking around happy, but half of our old 11 has pretty much left us now.

Raiola will still send players to us. We pay a lot and that is what he is looking for mainly. He is just trying to force us to sell Pogba right now.
If Pogba does go then we should stay away from any future dealings with him completely. Hold a club to ransom once shame on you, hold a club to ransom twice shame on me.

If we let him go now then it is quite crazy. With the thin squad we have we need more midfielders rather than less of them.
Makes sense if we sign a player before selling Pogba. If he doesn't give a feck anymore and is sick or injured for 4/5 games, there's no point keeping him is there?

Hes done a grand total of feck all this year. 8 appearances? No Goals. Injured or not we havent been able to call on him

makes no difference if he goes or not in fairness. He's not available then one way or another

In a market where we spent £80mil on Maguire & some fans still claim it was good business Ed could easily find a way to squander £80mil+ on a more appeasing face for the fans.

Yeah he is disgusting and has been for a long time. Although not sure the other agents are much better.
I guess we just need to put faith in our academy that has carried us this season.

Everyone appreciates there is a World class player in there but he can’t do it consistently for 90 minutes...he’s goes from sublime to shite in the blink of eye and for me, we don’t need that.

I’d rather a consistent 8/10 player with flashes of genius than this guy demonstrating amazing technique and brilliance on the odd occasion while the rest of the time throwing a tantrum on his arse in the centre circle.

The fact he’s an absolute prick with a slimey as feck agent to boot just doesn’t help. He’s wanted out for a while and the sooner he goes the better and continue rebuilding with players who want to be here.

Agreed. Kept Smalling and spent £80m on new midfielders and we'd be better off for it. Has Maguire been any better than Smalling was for us or has been for Roma? Nope.

The club is clueless. Liverpool are regrettably ahead of us now on and off the pitch. They finally got their house in order. Ours is tumbling down.

Would you want him to and what names can you think of? I’d rather the current strategy of young up and coming players in the main obviously maguire doesn’t fit that one but I think we will get value for money out of him in the long run.

He has not done much so far apart from a pen miss that cost us 2 points. Although we hoped he would help us a lot once back.
If we carry on with the same team we will probably not do anything for the second half of the season unless Ole actually start improving our play with coaching.
I guess the hope is to pray that Lingard can find top form and that all our players can remain free of injuries.

My apparent "ITK" information is coming to pass it seems. He's gone and has been for a LONG time but some refuse to see it .

I kinda agree. We have played the entire season without him so far so I think the team is starting to learn how to play without him one way or another. If we sell and replace him in Jan I don't think it'll be a bad business, since he hasn't been playing at all anyway.

Nope - he was unwell for the game before Watford. Ole said he had a reaction after the Newcastle game on his ankle and may be in contention for tomorrow. But, am sure in your 500 plus games watching United, you've never seen that happen to a committed player right ?

As for the shop window, assuming because he proved your conspiracy theory that he was faking it and will never play for United again false, now you've moved on to that he was only playing to be put in the shop window and Ole, since Pogba and Raiola have so much power, threw him on against Watford just to shop him around.

I would let him go. We are in the same spot with him now as we were last season without him. In addition, this whole Raiola thing is unusual. I do not know if he is doing it, but there is a possibility that Raiola is speaking for Pogba and if that is the case, he is more of a liability to us than an asset. People keep trying to convince themselves that Pogba has been innocent in all of this and his agent has just gone rogue. This has been going on since the City game in 2018. Its almost 2020. Pogba came to us in the summer of 2016, this means that for over half of his time with us, we have had this media circus regarding Pogba's status at Utd. It's not worth it. Mourinho had some issues, but what happened with Pogba was on Pogba and people excused it and blamed Mourinho. Mourinho left last year and we are still hearing about this.

Never seen a united player spend 3 months away from the squad if he was a key part of the future over an ankle injury. Doesn’t go to Burnley all of 30 miles away and sounds like he’s gonna be feet up tomorrow as well.

That was before the Watford and Newvastle game, wasn't it?

Either way, if Pogba wants to leave, can anyone blame him?

This is a player that, before he came to us, was in the World XI. He was getting into CL finals, playing with and against the best players in the world and winning major titles.

Since he's come to United, yes, he hasn't performed at the level expected (well, he hasn't been consistent), but we've hardly done him any favours.

I genuinely believe he came back to win stuff and put United back up there again, but just look at our team. I love every player at United (yes, even Lingard), but some of them are not even good enough to play for a top 6 side, never-mind getting us challenging for them EPL and other major titles.

Put yourself in Pogba's shoes. He's been here for four seasons. During those seasons, we haven't progressed. Actually, in terms of the quality of the squad, one could argue that it's worse then when he signed for. The signings overall have been poor. We've challenged for very little and have won the Europa League and Capital One Cup.

At 26, he's nearing his peak. He doesn't want to be stuck at a club that might take 3/4 years to rebuild. As I said before, he wants to be at a club challenging for major honours, and if he has an opportunity to do that, then I don't blame him.

Hargreaves and Scholesy were saying the same about Rashford the other day after the Burnley game. If we don't buck up our ideas and start winning things, then players like Rashford will start receiving offers, and although he's United through and through, it wouldn't a surprise to see him leave. Top players want to be winning things and playing at the highest level.

Fact is, Pogba is not to blame here! It's our shithouse of a club that has been awfully ran for the last decade or so. And I say decade because it first started when Rooney, wrongly or rightly, demanded the club to sign better players. E.g. signing Owen, Obertan and Valencia to replace Ronaldo. Despite the latter going on to be a fantastic servant for the club, it was then that our recruitment started to go down the drain, and if it wasn't for the mastery of Sir Alex, we'd have slipped into mediocrity ages ago.

It seems Ole has an idea of where he wants to go and what type of players he wants to sign. It will take time, but he seems to be changing the identity of the club. We want players who want to play for us. If that means no Pogba, then we move on and continue without him like we've done before when losing top players. It's that simple!
