Ole looking really weak here, Pathetic handling of the situation from him.
He's employed by the club and will protect the interest of the club. Should he cause a media shitstorm and say Pogba is unprofessional and wants to leave asap? Before a really important game?

What is really frustrating is that it happens while McTominay is injured and we need a midfielder badly

What choice does he have, considering the potential financial implications of Ole being 'strong'? Managers can't always act like fans want them to, leaving players to 'rot in the reserves' on a whim or to appear decisive. We don't share their obligations, duties and responsibilities.

What’s he supposed to do? Say he wants him out of the club and thereby ruining our negotiating position.
Hear, hear.

Any peep of negativity and the buying club can not only use the press to try leverage it into a lower price but also blame that on the selling club. Just better to not say anything/lie.

Same ankle injury that rules out Pogba and he won't be seen for a while according to Ole. Hmm.

Ole has no way in dealing with this in a good way. He will lose either way. Tell the truth and the club/player wouldnt be happy. Tell some BS and the fans arent happy. Pogba is still a United player a this point in time and Ole doesnt seem like the guy to rock the boat. At the end without Fergie, we are like all the other clubs in this regard.

I’m #PogbaOut and sick of the circus around him, think we’ll be better off as a squad and a club without him but it is very, very easy to pick up niggles and struggle to get match fitness when you’ve been out for months. Ankles especially are usually just repeatedly fecked once you injure them and all we really know is his long term injury was in that area.

Doesn’t surprise me that it could be the case nor would him taking the piss being the case be surprising.

Just using logic rather than emotions to think about what’s going on in the face of all this ill will. It’s really a genuine possibility that he could have re-injured himself and an even bigger one that he just isn’t anywhere near the fitness required at the minute. Use your head and try and discount the idea if you’re so sure he’s taking the piss.
I'm happy to use logic and was fine as a fan with the idea of him having rehab in miami. But come on, he comes back, is rested because Ole thought it was too soon to play against Burnley. And then it's reported he flies out to see a charity game, and today Ole reports he's suddenly injured again and is out for weeks.

That injury report is such an obvious pile of BS it doesn't need to be discounted. He's circumstantially missed pretty much all season after he and his agent says he wants to play for another club. The logic is obvious.

What would be really awesome is if Ole is trying to get Raiola away from Pogba.

I absolutely don't believe this is what's going on, but I also do believe Ole has the stones for this.

Horseshit is he injured. He’s got that same mysterious injury Herrera conveniently got towards the end of last season. Some say it’s a neck injury from having your head turned in a certain way...
Herrera wanted to stay & the club offered him less money than he was on. Totally different.

He's easily taking the piss. You can't just plead ignorance to the obvious here. How many times do circumstantial excuses need to be made for him? Why is he so bullet proof to fans? Its so bizzare.
What if, and I know it will be hard for you to imagine this, he's actually injured?

It's weird that fans with 0 medical insight or details about the situation can brazenly claim a professional athlete is lying about an injury. I mean it's not like he had surgery on that ankle

out for a few weeks. he is missing the city games
Ha I've give up with the whole situation. I love watching him as a player but if he wants to go let him go and move on. We've done it so many times before. It's part of football.

People ferociously insulting him are embarrassing. Is it really worth getting so angry about?

No he can't have possibly had a reaction to long term injury like any normal player. He came back just to show potential suitors his fitness and then faked it again.
Yes, that's it.....!!! Never has a player actually been injured and had a reaction. I'll refuse to play for the rest of the season and be completely unfit for my beloved France

....player rushed back too soon after only 3 days training and aggravated his injury. What would he gain from not playing? Already been said he's not leaving so what would he gain from not playing?
What I've learned about the Caf is posters are desperate to be right about their football opinions and biases regardless of facts or lack thereof.

He had ankle surgery. Don't give a shit about him but people need to think.
People are behaving like he's the first player to want out.
No way are we giving him an excuse by saying hes injured if he isn't.
Dalot and Bailly haven't played in ages as well. Do they want out?

Wasn't Progba was asked by RM to prove he was fit? One game, proved he was okay, then protected from peforming... bye bye Paul?

Nothing wrong with being passionate about your club and which ever way you come down on this issue expressing it with conviction.

He will only be unfit until he gets his move. If he stays, he will be fit in February, guaranteed. Then he will pull himself together to get in shape for the summer, while looking for a move after the tournament. It isnt that hard to understand.

You see his ratings above? Less he plays better he gets it seems.
If he doesn't play, then come the Euros he'll be completely unfit. He's not being sold this window as no one has the money anyway to buy him. People seem to forget FFP....

Which club aside from us, can afford him due to FFP? Do you really think we are going to loan him to Madrid?

Are players just supposed to stay home if they’re injured?

Didn’t realise it was written into the contract that he’s not allowed to go and see a charity game if he’s injured?

Players have lives outside of the pitch and we all have our opinions on how they should be but they don’t have to conform to whatever standard you apply.

He might not be fit enough to play top level football (the difference between match fitness in a PL game and what the rest of us consider fitness is huge remember) but he could easily walk and certainly sit down on a plane or watch a charity match.

You’re angry because he’s not living up to what you want which clouds your view, that’s not logic, it’s just emotion. And don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a cancer and we should get rid to save ourselves all this fuss but there are rational reasons for everything that’s happening with him lately that don’t include him just taking the piss.

i am pretty sure a club can cough up 100m for him if they want. Real can just sell a few squad players and talents

Feel for Ole on this. Needs to keep the clubs negotiating position as strong as possible so has to bullsh*t the answers.
If you read the quote though, Ole has made it as obvious as he can that Pogba is taking the P.
Feeling some discomfort would never be “definitely out for a few weeks”.

Back Ole in this. Pogba needs to learn his agent cannot be disrespectful to the club, I feel he's been told he's not playing with his agent running his mouth and wanting to leave.

I was about to come and have a moan about Ole's words on the Pogba situation. Until I read this post.

You're right.

If Pogba was faking he'd be sold in Jan. The club wouldn't Keep him.

Ole defending him also to me it is a real injury. Never faked an injury before. Plus all the haters said his last injury was fake and he'd never play again. While wearing a cast I ad.

Maybe he is just injury prone? Is that beyond the realm of possibility?

No one knows either way other than Ole buy all you assuming he is just show your hatred.

This is the real world, not football manager or FIFA. There needs to be a willing buyer, a fee and clauses need to be agreed, and player terms need to be agreed. No team in world football can just sell players on a whim, especially in January.
