He played well today especially first half. That tweet just highlights a poor free kick. He had a lot of good moments otherwise
Still a championship player. No composure, no football IQ, no awareness, bad shooter but thinks he's Beckham. There was a moment where Greenwood was open and screaming for the ball, he ignored him and passed backwards. He's lucky to be here and lucky to only have Lingard and Mata as competition.

I think he deserves some credit for reinventing himself, and adding the responsibilities of a holding or box to box midfielder to his game. He started out as a very attack minded player, usually in the hole or out wide, but today he has been charging around and intercepting passes, creating counters, etc. It's not a familiar role and I didn't think he would be suited for it, b ut fair play to him for putting his head down and working hard to achieve what Ole asks of him.

Don’t agree, he’s a prem player. Agree maybe not good enough for us but time will tell he’s played a lot better lately and improved. He’s a fighter, good touch, good on the ball, good eye for a pass. He’s not as good at shooting as he thinks he is though.

He is incredibly shit and I'm shocked that people don't see that. I guess it's because he sometimes does something decent. But if you study him you'll see how little footballing IQ he has. Always the wrong decision, slow touch, dirty tackler, shooting from every angle, no positional sense. He's by far our worst player. Highlight me in a year or two when he's in a Championship-team.

Just the fact the he does something decent sometimes already makes him a better option than Lingard.

I agree with almost all your points. He often makes the wrong pass, he shoots when he shouldnt be shooting, he has a terrible touch atleast once a match and he is quite a dirty and stupid tackler although his agression sometimes benefits the team with a early ball recovery. I dont think he will end in the championship though. He would be a good player for a midtable team in Spain or Italy i think.

He isnt good enough for Manchester United but his competition is Lingard, who has been playing like he does belong in the Championship, and Mata who has lost the little speed and agilty he had.

As a footballer and smartness, he is worse than Lingard and Mata. Lingard does have some kind of brain and feeling when to shoot and pass at least (even though he's not good enough either). Pereira does not. Yeah, he can be a squad player for Granada, which he was before. But Granada is not necessary much better than Fulham so but I get your point.

Was one of the few good players in the first half along with Maguire. But he wasnt that good in the 2nd half. The Wolves midfield woke up 2nd half

You're the one who makes the wrong decision, because he only does it ocassionally which means your choices were the wrong ones.

He is like a shite version of Cleverley

It's really not. He's really that bad.

His only redeeming quality is that he's a massive shithouse so he can tactially foul and harry players a lot.
Makes you wonder why he gets respect from players like Pogba.

Maybe just maybe he's a decent player and you dont have a clue what you're talking about. Actually theres no maybe

Pogba also respects Lingard.

Tell me what either of them do well enough to play in the Premier League?

I could see perriera playing in a burnley side as a LM cutting into his right and playing crosses for their forwards, lingard on the other hand would do well in the championship

There's a player in there somewhere. One of the problems is finding what it is. As Jose said before he went on loan, ' I can't just manufacture a position for him, he'll have to establish himself.'
When he went to Valencia, he was quickly ousted by Soler so finding that consistency has been a problem for him. Can he play as a 10, CM of RW? I don't know.

He is also playing in a team that has had injuries in midfield and is very disjointed there. Naturally the focus has fallen on the lack of product in midfield but he hasn't been nearly as bad there in the last few games that I've watched. If the team finds that consistency especially if we get a settled midfield, we'll see a better player

He's been poor in 2 games as CM, then he was decent yesterday.

He was okay on the right wing, sent some good balls into the box that should have been scored from. But we have some wingers playing better than he was there for once - in the past it was Mata and Lingard, now with James we have a decent option.

But he's clearly been best as an AM in front of midfield. Thats where hes mostly done well with fewer poor performances.

As someone who follows and watches Valencia my bet is they'd still be happy to sign him depending on price. He's been better than Soler this season. They dont play with a 10 so he'd probably be put on the side of midfield again where he hasnt been as good for us.

I can believe that. The loan was 2/3(?) seasons back so you'd hope for progression since.

I see him as someone who plays as an AM but I'm not sure how it'll work out for him if Ole wants to emulate Liverpool as he has stated. Developing an expansive game will need time and patience. Ole clearly sees some thing there, I hope for the sake of the team it comes to fruition

He needs to have a run of games in a consistent position, and I don’t think that position should be as a box-to-box nor as a RW. So ideally, he needs a run of games at number 10, but I don’t see Ole giving him the opportunity to do that, as Ole is fixated with Lingard as his number 10. Ole must think that Pereira’s style is not what he really wants in a 10, as he wants someone quick footed to play counterattacking football.

I like Pereira, but if Ole will continue as manager, we should sell both him and Lingard and find a No 10 that suits Ole’s style and who is quick with his feet and brain.

He's the definition of squad player under Fergie's era. But we see his (baby step) improvements as season goes by. Hopefully he makes it here.

I like his workrate and the fact that he's one of few that actually gets stuck in but the reality is that he's nowhere near good enough, not even as a squad player. There's always an overhit/misplaced pass or a poor touch that puts himself or a teammate in position to lose the ball. Makes you want to cry when you see the City-players passing the ball under pressure around in tight areas for fun.

This. The gulf in class between Silva and De Bruyne when compared to Lingard and Andreas.

I would keep Anrdeas as a squad player. We have to rid ourselves of Lingard though.

Need a couple of MFs in the summer.

I would start him ahead of Lingard but needs to be relegated to being a squad player. He is not good enough especially for the ten channel.

Not very good as a CM i think, also not the best player as AM but still better there than as CM.

Lingard was playing AM but when Lingard went off Pereira got to play there and improved.

Had a couple of good moments and pieces of play, but overall was average in CM and not as good as Fred

I like that fact that Perierra was given the chance to prove himself with the first team seeing as he's an academy graduate. But much like players before him who we had high hopes for, he just isn't good enough. In a way he reminds me of Chris Eagles. A player who I had hoped would become a good United player but in the end, just wasn't good enough. Perierra will go on and have a lengthy career in football, but I just don't think it will be with us...
