Selling Young at this point would me madness in all honesty. I also think he is pretty much done. But one injury to AWB and we have nothing to field at the RB position apart from Dalot who is also constantly injured and frankly a bit shit. I'm all for getting rid off our deadwood but please not like we did during the summer. Selling without getting replacements in.

Really hope we don’t do what we did in the summer - sell a few players we don’t want at the club but not replacement.

Our squad is paper thin and can’t help but feel we’re using the ‘United way’ as an excuse for having a bench full of inexperienced teenagers.

we should only let Pogba, Lingard and Young go if we have already signed replacements.

Replacements or not, if we sell Young and Lingard this window i'll go and do cartwheels in my garden in my underpants. They're both fecking shite, contribute nothing, and we're not getting top 4 with or without them. But at least the club will have acknowledged that theyre nit good enough.

Bit funny how we can potentially acknowledge players who aren't good enough, yet so we've got this set of coaches and higher ups. Suppose its easy to point fingers elsewhere.

Hearing Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have all enquired for Ashley Youngs services. Mental.

Any chance we could borrow Messi for the rest of the season? Promise to give him back.

Loaning

I am sure Palace would loan out their best player to them. The arrogance of Bayern. Make minimum a 60m bid or feck off is what i would tell them

I still remember when he went on loan to Leipzig and had some miraculous goal/assists per minute stats as an impact sub, by their standards Leipzig even paid a significant sum to eventually sign him. It's a bit surprising that they would get rid of him only half a year later. But on the other hand when you have a principled coach like Nagelsmann and he says that he can't or won't work with him then there is little point in keeping him around hoping for a change of mind.

That cant be true, cant even imagine Bayern come knocking and ask Palace to loan their best player to them.

Ashley young is very very very far from being our biggest issue. Bizarre that people are so desperate to see him gone.

Bayerns transfer business has been a mess for a while now. They were Gods creation in that aspect on here for a long time too

what's the point then?
Hahaa, yeah, right now I don't think he'd get the service his game needs to shine. He isn't the type to be creating his own chances.

But long term I think he'd be a good pick is what I'm saying, once creative additions are hopefully brought in.

AWB / Dalot / Laird at RB, Shaw / Williams / Dalot at LB works for me.

While he's far from our biggest issue at the moment, if someone's willing to take him I can't see we'd be losing much by getting rid.

Yeah but he's symptomatic of the state of the club at the moment. He's not terrible and is a good pro but he's been in decline for years but is hanging around on relatively big money. It is a signal of intent getting rid of these types of players and gives people hope for the future of the club.

Agreed. Young is still here from the Fergie eta because most of the signings since then has failed.
What we are witnessing now is bthe result of years of mismanagement. It s not easy fixing the mess we re in.

Calciomercato.com can confirm that Roma have launched a new offer of €17 million for the permanent signing of the former Fulham defender. The offer is pretty close to United’s valuation of €20 million for Smalling and Roma’s hierarchy believe that with that offer, they would meet what the Red Devils are asking for as they have already paid €3 million for the loan fee of the player.

Why would he not have?
In fact it seems obvious he would, unless people are assuming performance = reputation. I can't think of an issue he's caused at united, or in the press, aside from having a ham shank on webcam once.

Have you watched him for the last 9 years?

Coming inside and over hitting ever cross. Long aimless balls down the line. Dreadful set pieces.

But I guess he ran a lot. But so do Jones and Lingard. I’m not going to call them good servants either.

I say this again, i’m 100 % certain that we have one of the least knowledgeable fans of all top clubs in Europe. We have fans who overrate players just because they show passion or ”understand” the club rather that actually being good at football. The perfect examples are Brandon Williams and Scott Mctominay. How anyone can think that Brandon has played better than Ashley is mental and shows you the bias that exist within our fanbase against certain players.

The problems probably run deeper than that (Hoeneß / his internal conflicts with Rummenigge, losing Sammer and Reschke in relatively quick succession), but BRAZZO (appointed in 2017) is the face associated with most of these bizarre ideas. He's so bad (struggles to formulate coherent sentences at times) he can't even bullshit his way through an interview with some lickspittle journalist.

They have already begun sorting themselves out however, Hoeneß has stepped down, Oliver Kahn has joined the board and sooner or later they will probably replace BRAZZO with a proper DoF and everything will be back to normal.

Players, Coaches and Higher Ups?

May as well blame the whole club at this point!

A good reputation in the game?

Why don't you go and feck yourself Laurie, that's not funny.
Sounding quite the personal dislike for Young there....why would he not have a good reputation behind closed doors in the football industry? Enlighten us.

I mean, he's always been a professional, never kicked up a fuss, sure he may not be his best anymore, but when he pulls on that red shirt he always puts in 110%.

Not sure why you seem to dislike Young so much

Precisely, he’s highly professional and still a capable player albeit not at the level we are looking to be at.

That’s just silly.
