Seems Inter have a fetish for our captains. Can we make Lingard captain too please?Tweet

That must be wrong. We were told there is no such thing and United and Juve were just bitter in losing him to the "best places for an attacker". I will only trust Raiola on this.Tweet

I love how they state 80m rated... No one rates him that highly that's why he's still at Palace for goodness sake. Palace don't want him to leave that's why it's an outlandish price which is perfectly fineTweet

I think so.Yeah he’s another player who was great in the championship but yet to find consistency in the PL
Oh no problems mate.I wasn’t referring to you, I was referring to the original post you replied to. Chill Maxi, I just agreed with u

We never made a 50m offer? The Longstaff report is interesting, if true. Doesn’t say much about our scouting network if we’ve gone from perusing a £50m offer for a youngster who ends up struggling for his parent club. Then we drop interest.
Doesn’t give us much hope in the project we have going on.
Our scouting network has to be one of the poorest in Europe’s top flight.
We never made an offer, we scouted him and asked Newcastle about his value and they popped up with the 50m.The Longstaff report is interesting, if true. We’re extending Young’s contract, we mean business. So many tweets and nothing about us signing anyone. I hate this club sometimes.
At last, some positive news! Should bring back the feelgood factor around this placeTweet

Haha!So many tweets and nothing about us signing anyone. I hate this club sometimes.
Absolute joke! We’re short of bodies at the moment so have no issue with holding onto him until the summer but why offer him another deal? Just reeks of the club being tight and putting off signing a replacement for another year.Tweet

Well it's most likely that any signing will be preceded by a series of tweets about interest/offer/negotiations etc. as it happened with majority of recent signings, so yes, the lack of any serious links on twitter does actually suggest we might not be signing anyone.Haha!
There's no tweets. So we must not be signing anyone! - Twitter is the oracle!!!
I'd rather have the SAF/Gill days back when Twitter wasn't around/or wasn't as prevalent.
Wake up one day and we'd sign someone.
At least won't see as many depressing posts as this one. Jesus wept.
Why would Young sign up for it? It might give him a 5 month insurance in case he gets injured but surely he could get a bigger signing bonus if he went for free?Maybe.... MAYBE.. We're offering him a new deal to get a fee for him in the summer?!
The kind of stuff that if liverpool did it people would ask why we weren't. The negativity around here is so tiring.
Well we did give jones a new 4 year deal so what do you expect? This club cant be trusted.Maybe.... MAYBE.. We're offering him a new deal to get a fee for him in the summer?!

We don't know that he has. We also don't know if my point is accurate - It's just a possibility that can be considered rather than the same old doom and gloom. Why would Young sign up for it? It might give him a 5 month insurance in case he gets injured but surely he could get a bigger signing bonus if he went for free?
I have no explanation for this .....Well we did give jones a new 4 year deal so what do you expect? This club cant be trusted.
Nobody is going to pay to buy Ashley Young. Even if they do, it will be less than 5M. Why offer extension and waste time in such case? Renewal will come with its own cost, so we will hardly gain anything.Maybe.... MAYBE.. We're offering him a new deal to get a fee for him in the summer?!

And why are transfer about other teams' transfers relevant for this thread? It usually was only United relevant tweets, wasn't it?So many tweets and nothing about us signing anyone. I hate this club sometimes.
A feeMaybe.... MAYBE.. We're offering him a new deal to get a fee for him in the summer?!

Loads of experience and in slower leagues he can still be quite a good player. Why would anyone pay a fee for him
Because he's a model professional who was a world cup semi finalist 2 years ago, gives his all every game and isn't nearly as bad as United fans make out?Why would anyone pay a fee for him

It is short irons between Manchester United and Ashley Young . As reported by the British media, Manchester United offered the renewal of a contract for a season to the English footballer but Young refused : he only wants Inter.
