Aubameyang breakout season was his 2nd season with st etienne where he finished 2nd top scorer behind Zlatan. He was 24, same age as Bruno when he won his 1st Primera Liga POTY. Aubameyang then went to Dortmund and eventually Arsenal as their transfer record fee. Arsenal may have regressed but being EPL top 4 (at that time) transfer record breaker sure worth something for him.

But if you want to continue putting down Bruno, it's your prerogative.
There’s no need for the passive aggressive comment. I’ve seen footage of the guy and he appears to be playing defence splitting passes through terribly organised high lines. People who watch him for sporting week in week out say he’s not worth the money. He is clearly not Man Utd’s first choice target for the position earmarked for him. He may come good and if he came to United I’d love him to but it would be more I hope than expectation and that is a heck of a price tag- a lot of players are “valued” at that end of the price range, not many actually move for it.

He can stay at Sporting Lisbon, we don't need him after today's performance.

Any bets we will use that Lingard game there as an excuse as to why we won't buy Bruno
Well when you think about it Lingard has scored 1 goal for us this week, in that time Bruno has scored 0 goals for us. Why would we want to downgrade?

Calm down and you act like I've been arguing with multiple replies, I've not done once.

I heard the record would be broken via Bruno reports, might've been Sky or some other reporter, it's not my theory, not sure if it's by English clubs. Obviously Coutinho smashes it and so should VVD and that's Southampton to Liverpool..

Looking at the records it would only be in the top 10.

Pulisic, Aubameyang and Laporte are probably going to be higher than the alleged Bruno's fee for English clubs buying abroad.
Heard from your dream probably. I’m curious about this report, post the link if you have one, I would like to know what is this report talking about?

When City/Liverpool want players its pretty striagh forward (B-Silva 45Mil, KDB 55Mil, Mane 35Mil, Salah 35Mil) but if united want to sign players(Maguire, Pogba, Matic and now Bruno) price goes up and agents play it so bad with us...why ?

The market has changed a lot this Summer. Van Dijk changed the defender market.

They actually time their transfers better. We just decide we need someone straight away and pay the premium that comes with it.

If he’s not in the Sporting Squad tomorrow there is a glimmer of hope.

They kick off 9pm

I admire City the way they scout a player, strike up a relationship with that player, and the club for years in advance. Then the transfer is a piece of piss, done in a day some 2-3 years later.

So Sporting is having a game tomorrow - he is either not playing or playing to say goodbye to his fans - right?

Ours just seem more complex because we watch it 24/7 I bet the others are prolonged just as much... And Matic was pretty simple wasn't it?

If we really have upped our bid in the last few days - then we definitely want him. Surely at that point we won't let the deal fall apart for a few million, it just doesn't make sense.

They've either been stringing us along all this time to try and keep some positive media, or they're absolutely stupid.

This is true. VVD took Liverpool two windows to get and an apology to Southampton!

I remember seeing an Arsenal Fan TV video after we signed Pogba, and the perception was we’d just got on with it and signed him (which wasn’t true!)

All clubs have challenges signing players, it’s just more pronounced when it’s your own club.

Yeah buying players that teams dont want any more because they are old and they get good money from us us easy surprisingly .

Especially when that club is United who have more written about them because we have the far largest audience. We even have transfer sagas over players the club isn't remotely interested in.

Might've been posted here, not going to waste hours looking for it but breaking a jan record was mentioned. They could've been talking about if United paid the 80 million euro fee or got their euro to pounds wrong or possibly just United's own record.

There is player called Pizzi, who plays for Benfica and has 12 goals and 8 assists and usually plays as a RW or CM. Should we go all in for him and pay like 70 mil. pounds? Because he has obviously nice stats, definitely better than Bruno (8G, 7A).

It is still Liga NOS, none of those guys can match players who already proved themselves in Premier League like Madisson or Graelish did. It is so much faster, so tough, so negligent. You have no time, you either pass the ball or you will lose it and it will be paintful. Look at Fred, he was so slow with the ball that he lost it so many times, because he wasnt used to the intensity of the game. No one cares how much you cost or how good you were in Portugal or whatever, you just have to prove yourself at the very best league in the world and many guys failed trying to. Lindelof, Rojo, Dalot (hello Bebé) those guys came from Portugal and looked like perfect fit or at least talented players who are better than what we already have (not Bebé, he is just good meme). Well, they are not. Lately I watched some games because of Bruno and the level was so bad I wasnt able to watch it through the end. And I am from Czech republic, I know how bad football looks like and I am used to it. :-)

But my biggest concern about him is that we are the only one who goes to sign him. He is supose to be so good so why Barca, Real, Madrid, Juve, PSG, or someone from PL is not trying to sign him up? He is already 25 years old and Sporting is trying to sell him for second transfer window. It is a big questionmark for me right there.

Burno seems like good player, definitely tier 1 in Portugal and I would like to see him here, but it is huge step and I wouldnt expect too much from him, definitely not instantly if he comes in the middle of the season. Is he better than Lingard? Yeah, I am almost sure about it, because Lingard is championship level player at best, but is he at least as good as regular CM/CAM starter for other PL clubs? Well, we will see. He just have to come now..
People who watch him for sporting week in week out say he’s not worth the money.
People who watch Sporting regularly say the exact opposite of that.

Because those clubs don't make excuses they get the deals done.

Yea let’s just call that one your mistake then. Read it wrong.
