Its mind blowing to me how anyone can watch us and think to themselves "Yeah Ole is the man to get us back to the top"

Incredible that one win against League One bottom-dwellers, another cup win that saw us get knocked out, and one big signing were all it took to get 10% of people to switch their votes away from 'sack'. :houllier:
Probably would've been better keeping the old poll the way it was

He’s spent about 200m and made the team worse and hasn’t even attempted to improve our attacking play. Best case scenario is you give him another 400m on top of what has been spent already over another couple of years and we’ll be playing that football with better players and might finish in top 4.

Short of wining Europa or miraculous improvement in our league form it’s surely inevitable that if Poch wants the job it’s his in the summer. There is potential for us to drop down table, 5th position has flattered us and if that will make decision easier.

This club has made mistake after mistake over last 7 years, persisting with Ole for another season would be the most foolish.

The poll and percentage for support is soul-destroying. We are going nowhere and all it will amount to is wasted years and more distance between the very top teams.

All because we loved him as a player.

It isn’t worth it lads and it’s not going to work. Where we will be in 4-5 years depends on this decision. Stop letting emotion get in the way.

but that balmy night in Barcelona and who could reject that deliciously foxy smile that he's always treated our eyes to back in the day and still does when he says stupid things to the press nowadays... he deserves to run the club into the ground for another year or two. It's his right, you are not a true United supporter if you don't get that.

Only 52%????? Surely that's a joke. A manager who buys a player with goals and assists then plays him in a deep lying midfield role. The coaching and management of this team is beyond a joke. Bruno will be another player that struggles cos of the ineptitude of our coach who can't see the best position for him is as an attacking midfielder.

At this rate, I'll be telling my grandkids when I'm old and grey that Sheringham scored the winner too.

This is not a question anymore, he is useless and clueless and he himself knows that. He is just enjoying the ride while it last.

Maybe Ole is the manager we deserve, with our spineless fans who still back him despite everything, and a big part of the reason why a completely incompetent manager is still here.

"But we're 5th"....

Oh wait, now we're behind Sheffield fecking United. We've won 9 from 25 :(

Fully expect us to be 9th after Chelsea away. What a depressing season, ah well, glad some of you can sit back and enjoy it in the certainty that Ole is doing what must be done.

Get rid now, literally this bloody second. We should be comfortably in the top four if we had a coach who had a system or just an idea how to play football week-to-week.

I don't think he's clueless (we should ban that word) and I think he's a decent coach, but he's not at the level that should be required at United. We have some good players that needs better coaching.

would fans be against hiring Chris wilder? He is on the up as a manager rather than going downwards like Mourinho was and potentially potchettino as well looking at how bad he had done with spurs in 2019, wilder is doing an unreal job with Sheffield United, the football they play is not ugly to watch and are brilliantly organized

The sooner he fecks off the better.

He’s surviving purely on his legendary status and has been for the best part of a year now.

Solskjaer for me is indefinitely gone by summer by account of this season. The table is actually doing us a favour given our points total we should realistically be around 12th in any other competitive season.

That's the really scary part, it's alright banging on about what a great job he's doing with the squad but in a months time we'll be almost up to a year of absolute utter shite. At what point do fans expect this amazing squad being built to actually win a few games

One of Oles few redeeming features was he was putting the club first before personal gain (or so we were lead to believe) but after watching him run our players into the ground I'm striking that feature of the list.

Even today Bruno should of been brought on in the second half instead of being thrown right in at the deep end until the end of the game. We all know Matas legs have gone but once again he was left on until the 85th minute. Where's the youth now that Ole is fighting for his job? Ole talks a good talk but at the end of the day it's all just becoming backround noise.

Which was always bullshit anyway, Ole will get himself fired at this rate and we may have to reset again. How is that putting the Club first?

Putting the club first is as much about protecting the here and now as well as the future. Every single manager puts personal gain first because personal gain IS club gain, unless you're doing a Peter Ridsdale/David O'Leary jobbo.

This is what always happens, it’s completely understandable. The Utd way goes out the window, what matters to Ole now is keeping his job, that’s why he now talks nonsense after games, why he wanted to buy Josh King and why we play such negative football.

That’s not even criticism, we’d all do it for our dream job and biggest ever pay cheque.

Absolutely. The last thing Ole can do is come out saying "I'm not sure I'm the guy to lead this great club" and he can't exactly blame the players considering what he's done with the squad, so obviously he says whatever he can to try and take the pressure off himself and his squad.

It is actually 7 points for top4, because Chelsea has better goal difference (even though after we defeated them 4:0 we were +8). This is getting pretty hard to take, because he is still there because of his legendary status. Every other manager out there would be already sacked and club would do everything possible to save this season. There is still time - Chelsea has horrible season and horrible form as we have and with the change we can win 3-4 games in a row and be easily in top4.

Then why hasn't there been calls for Lampard to get sacked? Maybe we should let them fight it out till end of the season, loser gets the sack.

Chelsea sacks managers all the time so they will probably sack him at the end of the season.

LOL? Lampard is there only for 7 months, he had transfer ban, lost his best player, actually gives chance to his young players and has obvious game plan, threy just lack quality and with normal goalkeeper, they would be more than 12 points above us. Btw they are still in top4 and he also suffers with big injuries of his key players. They won just one out of last 5 games and they actually increased their lead for two points.

Probably because he's comfortably in top 4 and nothing that happens in the next game can change that. United though, we're likely to be 9th if we lose at the Bridge :(
There used to be a time when Chelsea would sack managers for finishing 2nd, or reaching the CL final. Standards have dropped it seems. Agree that it'd be a disaster if we lose and drop back down to 9th/10th like last year.

In a game like today, almost only Mata seems like the only intelligent football player on the pitch. But he's too past it to carry the team and is dependant on teammates who also think and act fast in patterns. Surely not the majority of our squad has forgotten how to play football. They have been lulled to sleep by several managers now and Ole just takes the cake in that regard. They need a manager with a clear plan and vision, who will interject some fire in these players.

It cannot be true that we for so long are completely clueless when coming up against teams who set up defensively against us. Would love to learn how we prepare and plan to break down a team like Wolves. Or is it just mostly a case of getting out there and showing desire?

Ask yourself this...

Would Derby County, West Brom, Leeds, or Fulham hire him if he was available?

Or perhaps Cardiff?

Yet people here think he’s good enough to manage Manchester fecking United ffs
