It's a way of making kids cover their mouths / noses without using their hands.

Yep, which is what this forum is struggling with with the calls to shut everything down.
the economy is fecked no matter what, but we still have to retain some control over our society. these measures are ultimately designed to stop more people dying though that is the goal, because things are going to get a lot, lot worse. you don't seem to be acknowledging that.
It's not economic greed though is it. The economy sustains all our lives. If we shut the economy down then businesses start to fail and people lose their jobs. What are you going to do then when you're told to stay in your house with no job and you have bills to pay and kids to feed?

I can't remember. I remember the change in policy but had no idea it meant testing would be scrapped. We should be distributing thermometers, installing hand sanitisers all over the country but instead we're actively allowing everyone to get infected.
I think it's going to bankrupt certain people either way, I suppose shutting down things later will just allow people to save a litte money. What can a business do if it's employees are sick? Who will cook the food? Take the money? Make things?

I agree, I was only talking about my reaction to the word "dab". If people aren't brainless and actually read the tweet and follow the link it's a useful tweet and the fact that we are actually talking about it in this thread shows that whether we like the delivery or not, the message went through which ultimately is the goal.

Yeah I agree that we have to keep vital businesses open, food outlets, pharmacies, supermarkets etc. But other businesses should close or operate in a limited capacity. We need to avoid people getting sick at the same time otherwise the health service will be overburdened.
