Funny that he’s banned. His post about it is stupid too. ‘Affected us more than we ever could have imagined’. Actually we knew it was very serious and it’s probably, thankfully, affected us less than originally imagined.

Alli is shit anyway so its whatever. But funny none the less. They're probably a better side without him in the 11 anyway, between lo celso/ndombele/bergwijn/Lucas and then Son and Kane.

I'm not sure. Mourinho doesn't trust Ndombele, Lo Celso and Bergwijn are yet to show anything, and we all know that Mourinho loves a shithouse or two in his team, hence his fascination for Fellaini. Alli is the perfect Mourinho shithouse player, as is Dier. Glad to see one banned, could do with the other banned too.

Lo Celso was Spurs' best player since he started playing regularly (January-ish?). Ndombele though yeah he doesn't trust for whatever reason. He hasn't performed though. Dier is also very shit so feck it, keep him in. Though he should be banned.

I'll take your word for it on Lo Celso. I don't really follow the Spurs games, but what I've seen, he looked pretty ineffectual... although to be fair the entire side did without Kane especially.

    So how will they lineup?

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lloris
    Aurier - Sanchez - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Davis
    - - - - - - - - Sissoko - - - - - - - - - - - Lo Celso
    - Moura - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Son
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kane

If Dier is in, then maybe Moura out in a 532 with Son and Kane up top with Lo Celso behind them.

Mourinho will have them sit deep for sure.

Lo Celso was our best player for the few months prior to lock-down - he is absolutely brilliant.

N'Dombele hasn't been fit enough to play 60 mins - that's been the problem. He appears to be extremely talented though so I'm hoping he gets his act together soon because he could be great for us. Dier is a decent central defender and is a great squad player.

I'm wondering if its a mental thing for him with the premier league. Very talented, but he apparently had fitness issues in Lyon too and would get tired quickly. Now get the feeling he wants to cut cords and go to a different league asap. We'll see though, can always bounce back or prove himself because the talent is there for sure.

Big plus having Alli out of this one, yeah sure he's not the player he was 2 years ago but he's a perfect match for Mou and his dark arts, Mou loves a bit of s*ithousery in these big games and Ali would have been his ace to try and ruffle a few certain united players,

The biggest worry for me in this one is Son, big game player and underestimate him at your pearl, a lot more worried about him than Kane, Sons movement is lethal.

Still early days for him and Jose by all accounts would like to build the team around him so it's up to the player to get to the required fitness level and get on with it. He is probably the most naturally talented player we have at the club so I really hope its works out for him.

Yeah Son is an absolute weapon on his day. I'd hate to play a team with Son in it because he is capable of a goal at any moment.

Alli missing is good news because he an enact of popping up and scoring important goals. Socred a terrific goal against us at Old Trafford this season. That being said, I dont think Alli would have started anyway.

Think we'll see Mourinho go with a 523 or 532 with Kane, Son and Moura/Bergwijn as the front three, allowing them to try and counter.

10% of the poll currently predicting 0-5 win for United. Got to love the optimism here.

Mou will make this a bore fest but I'm hopeful we can expose them, their midfield is average and their defence is the weakest I've seen it in a while.

Looking forward to this. Could be the last time we play Spurs before they collapse under the weight of their enormous stadium debts. No PL crowd. No concerts. And no NFL foam fingers wavers = No Spurs.

Has everyone forgotten about the shit that Pogba and his agent have dished out in the last year. No way he should start. Keep him on the bench.

That gets ignored when we're trying to make top 4 and he's available again.

I really hope weren't not going to just throw Pogba back in because he's a name. The other lads have been in better form than him this season and then you have to consider he's not played a competitive match of football in fecking ages.

He should be made to earn his place back like everyone else.
There are 9 games left in the league. No time for that.

Besides, the squad will be rotated against Norwich anyway. There will be lots of game time.

I fully expect Mourinho to have the bus parked for this one so I think we will need as much creativity as possible. So if it were up to me, I would start like this:

    --------------------------De Gea--------------------------
    AWB---------Lindeloff--------Maguire----Shaw
    ---------------Pogba-------------Matic----------------
    Mata------------------Bruno--------------------Rashford
    -------------------------Martial-------------------------------

Mata and Bruno have proved to have a good understanding with each other and with a parked bus speed is over rated. So Mata gets the start for me. Matic is our only DM so he gets the start along side Pogba who will obviously have more freedom to get forward. James can come on as a sub late on when Tottenham is chasing the game and need to open up. That's when speed can and will be a factor

With that being said, I won't be surprised to see James starting instead of Mata. There is also a rumour of this being the starting 11

    ----------------------------------De Gea-------------------------------
    AWB------------Lindeloff------------Maguire----------Shaw
    -----------------------------------Matic---------------------------------
    --------------McTominay----------------Pogba-------------------
    -----------------------------------Bruno--------------------------------
    ------------------Martial------------------Rashford-----------------

There was a time when I thought a 4-4-2 diamond was the way forward for us. But after seeing us play this formation a few times I can 100% say that it's not for us. We need width and as good as AWB and Shaw are defensively, they are not attack minded enough for this formation to work. Funny how we started this season with a big problem that we were light in the midfield. Amazing how now we seem to have almost too many options there. I know it sucks to have to leave two of them out, but that's what we are going to need to do to play our 4-2-3-1. Lots of games to play, and they can be rotated...

They got a £179million loan from the UP Government. They will be fne.

Which needs to be paid back. Spurs need a cash injection in the playing squad. If they do not sell one of their players this summer, it will be difficult to fund a rebuild.

Having built a new stadium, increased player transfer fee and wages, there is real economic pressure on teams.

Even the mighty United need sales (Lukaku, Smalling etc) to get some money in.

Spurs have 2 valuable players at the moment, Kane and Son and levy will not be willing to sell.

The best chance for Spurs to win this is to let Son play AM.

    5311

Can see Mou deploying that to counter our attacks and exploit our defense holes.

Wonder if AWB's weakness in decision making when defending may finally be exploited and proved to be detrimental here...

If we can win a scrappy game by the odd goal will do me. As some have said its like first game of the season again, when you get crazy scores. I also would stick with the same midfield 3/4. This is no time to experiment with fitting Pogba and Fernandes in the same side. The last 10 games have all looked good in midfield and looked like a good understanding in the team. If by chance we are 2 up with 20 mins to go then bring him on and try it.

Just wondered if any season ticket holders have been contacted regarding been able to watch the last few games on tv for free? A couple of months ago I had a call from Utd saying that if the season starts again and it was behind closed doors, all season ticket holders would be able to watch the remaining games on tv for free. I’ve had no follow up to this so far.

Not heard anything. Looks like they just decided to offset the games from next year's fee and that's it.
