Sitting pretty in the Champions League places in the Hoofball Stakes 2019/20. A mere eighty hoofs behind Wolves in third place, that gap could be easily traversed by the 25th minute in *’s next game against Arsenal.

Don’t rule out Klopp’s men finishing the season on a high... like 80% of their attempted passes.

Poetry in motion, la!
Blimey, I thought they had a liking for it from time to time etc but that's bordering on extraordinary.

The thing is though.. if you look at the bottom 6 teams there, and slightly more arbitrarily assess vaguely comparable teams (for what we might say is their ability on paper) , it rather looks like trying to play football isn't really working.

The 6 are all 20+ pts behind LFC. And Sheff Utd are far better off than say Villa and Bournemouth.

Can't isolate to 1 factor, but does seem like a bit of a theme.

I’d argue that *’s primitive, long-ball style of play being somewhat successful this past two seasons is completely anomalous and not sustainable in the long term. Teams will cotton on to them (and arguably already have, judging by their atrocious record in all competitions from the end of February onwards) and seeing how they are out-performing xG and xP metrics by a wide margin would lead anyone to believe they will return to the mean sooner rather than later.

(I’m not a huge believer in judging matches solely on xG as there are massive variables at play between different teams, players and conditions, but using xG in conjunction what we are all seeing in front of our eyes regarding *’s septic performances throughout the year, it’s fair to say that their points haul the past two seasons has been the most flattering any team have ever collated in any league ever.)

Here’s hoping Klopp continues their descent into hoofball heaven.

Just heard on the radio (Norwegian) that he'll leave the club at the end of his current contract.
Great news if true.
That's still 4 years away. He might get sussed out before then

They look shite, I'm absolutely loving it. It's the dampest squib of a title win ever in the history of sport. feck them.

He has a job to keep his players motivated and their hunger for next season. So far, not looking good since the restart and I can't be complaining about their form. May be Robbie Savage wasn't completely wrong after all

So now it's official they are not the best team ever.
Fecking jokers trying to compare this lot to Utds treble winners.

"whoever finishes above them (he meant us) next season will win the title". So we are technically either champion or second according to his prediction.
nice of him to say that, bit too early, maybe? Depends on transfer window.

Chelsea will win, Liverpool have only been fielding a full strength side to try and break the 100 points record. Now that is over he will play the squad players and kids.
They want to keep there 100% home record this year. Liverpool won't want to loss the day they lift the league. Think Mc Fly, think

"Jyrgen, you do realise you can't reach 100 points anymore don't you? You. Can't. Reach. 100. Points. Your thoughts on that?"
How do you feel Jurgen about not being able to reach 100 points. Hopefully he asks it while Klopp is in the middle of answering another one, just to annoy him that bit more.
