I don't care if Chambers stays or go but 12M is a joke. He was their best player when we loaned him and he will be again if they buy him.
Calling him their best player is a bit of a stretch, but he was useful for them. The fact that he doesn't have many suitors will give Fulham some more leverage in Chambers' price.

This would be a very Liverpool type transfer. Rarely do you see them chasing Galacticos. A lot of their deals fly under the radar, even seem underwhelming when they're done, but the players tend to fit the jigsaw they're making. Lets be honest nobody was thinking Robertson or Mane would be that good when the deals happened. Its a credit to them that a lot of them time they improve their squad at a relatively low price. Even Salah didn't cost a lot.

He'd shine there if he went too. Great work ethic, supremely talented and young. We should be signing him really.

Sarr should be available for 30-35m. Could be a stop gap signing if we are not signing Sancho this year.

Martin Odegaard is not in Real Sociedad's pre-season, which should further fuel the speculation that Real Madrid will take him back.

The squad:
Moyá, Remiro, Rulli, Zubiaurre, Álex Sola, Gorosabel, Zaldua, Kevin Rodrigues, Aihen, Monreal, Llorente, Aritz, Le Normand, Sagnan, Zubeldia, Illarra, Guevara, Zubimendi, Merino, Guridi, Merquelanz, Sangalli, Roberto López, Januzaj, Portu, Barrenetxea, Oyarzabal, Bautista, Isak and Willian José

Amidst all of the Ismaila Sarr transfer speculation, here's what he himself said about his future:

The Tweet's source: link

Original source: an interview by French newspaper Les Echos with Ismaila Sarr.

Relevant portion of the interview:
Lately your agent Thierno Seydi spoke about your future which depended on the fate of Watford. Now that your team is relegated, what future do you have with Watford?

Really, right now (laughs), I really don't know what to say. We're going to play in the Championship since there is no transfer yet.

What about your supposed transfers to Liverpool or to other big Premier League sides?

(Laughter) I'm at the same level of information as everyone else about these transfer rumors. Every day, like everyone else, I get information that I'm going to play for Liverpool, Manchester United etc ... But really, for the moment, we haven't discussed this internally yet.

Did you not receive an offer with your agent?

I have to admit that there are other agents who talk to me about big team proposals, but for now, I'm just hanging out in my corner. I continue my work and the rest, my agent and my team will take care of it. Because whatever happens, you need the club's endorsement.

We also saw the news that Watford was ready to release you

(Laughter) That anyway is…you let me know anyway. I still have years of contract with Watford, another 4 years. If Watford wants me to stay, I'll play in the Championship; my departure also depends on them. That's the most normal thing for me.

If, however, your release is confirmed, would you be ready to join Liverpool and Sadio Mané?

Liverpool are a really great team, everyone would love to play there. They won the Premier League this year and the Champions League last year. But also there are great teams in the English league. Frankly, I don't have to make a choice yet. If that were to happen, I just wish they were a good team. At the moment, there are only guesses.

If you've made it to Watford, aren't you aiming for a higher level anyway?

Yes of course, everyone who works is looking for advancement. Maybe if Watford releases me one day I could go play for a bigger team. Go and showcase my talent elsewhere and then win trophies.

Would you be tempted to come back to France in Paris or Marseille to play the Champions League?

Go back to France, yes why not…Playing the Champions League is a dream for all players. I've had the pleasure of playing in the Europa League before so if these teams want to have me in their lineup, discuss it with Watford and come to an agreement, I wouldn't say no.

Nah mate that's too sensible for us. Why spend £30-40m on a player when you can bid three times that amount on someone who doesn't end up coming, leaving you scrambling around seeing who you can loan on deadline day?

Comes across as a good egg. Not giving it the billy big b-s treatment. He'll boost any squad he's part of.

Some interesting bits of info in this article:
  • Felipe Anderson, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, and Sebastien Haller all earn around or more than 100k Pounds/week
  • Felipe Anderson and other players who are out of favour will be sold to raise money for further incoming transfers.
  • Declan Rice will not be one of the players sold to raise transfer funds.

For people who follow the Serie A and Bundesliga, yeah. Castagne has regularly featured at wing back for Atalanta (off the bench and some starts) and had several good performances. Waldschmidt was one of the stars of the 2019 U21 European Championship but has since stagnated somewhat.
I appreciate seeing these updates particularly as there is feck all going on with United right now. Transfer news from top European leagues makes a lot more sense than English National league updates imo.

Hang on, you're saying 12m is too little?!
Well yeah, 25 year old english CB who was very good the year they had him. They know what they're getting, it's no gamble. When you see how they splashed 100M the last time on absolute trash, 12M seems a bit low, Covid or not. I'd expect something between 18 and 20M.

I believe he was paid 'silly' wages because he was a free transfer. Whatever he's getting now is certainly not the same wage he'd be picking up at another club.

I think it'd be worth a punt.
The issue is whether he accepts wage cut to move or doing a Bale on Juventus. Not very unlike Bale, he is in position where he didn't have to play for his club to secure a position in Wales team. And knowing Juventus, they may ask some transfer fee, so it's even out even if he accepts a wage cut.

Really rate McNeil. Has good football brain even if we're not talking about his age. Not flashy but solid technically. Tidy on ball, very hard to dispossess. Not pacy but quick enough. In a better team where he's not tasked with being one of the main outlet/sole ball carrier, and concentrate in final third, I believe he can be more productive and good foil for the team goal scorers.

After their promotion to Serie A, Crotone are targeting loans for two of Inter's promising young players: Esposito and Agoume.

We were linked with Agoume before his move to Inter, I'm guessing he's not had much playing time?
According to WhoScored, he's only had 65 minutes of first-team football with Inter; with that said, he is 18 and has time on his side. A loan move would do him a world of good for his development.

Yeah he did make the leap from league 2 and it's obviously taken him time to settle into new surroundings etc. It'd be interesting to see how he does on loan, his style is quite similar to Pogba, albeit he isn't as flashy with skills.

We're struggling to get 12m for Smalling. Chambers is a much lesser player even if he is younger.

You are struggling to get that from an italian club, big difference.

We've had enough of those sort of signings.
We need to save our money for gamechangers. If Sancho can't happen this summer, we need to either move to an A player for another position that needs upgrading, or come back in future.
