Then it's the bad news and the ever worsening form of our Men with losses to Arsenal and Palace.

It's not something to generally care about and it makes little to no difference to me obviously, as I'm not affiliated with Haaland. But it's extremely cringeworthy from PSG's players, and if you combine stuff like this with the playacting and whining that Neymar is about in the moments he isn't proving his worth as a worldclass footballer, it's extremely easy for neutrals to despise PSG imo. Which is what my post is about, explaining why I personally rather rooted for the underdogs (Atalanta) than for a team I admittedly know very little about, but that I can't stand basically whenever I watch them in the CL.
Obviously they do have nice kits and I understand how their brand is getting so big internationally due to their marketing. But so many aspects about them just aren't appealing to outsiders imo. Look at what happened to the French league in the last decade.

That's really a weird way to count fans. The same people could be following the club on Face, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. You can't simply add them up.
They aren't out of it of course, but I would put the odds comfortably in Atleticos favour, maybe 70-30 or something like that.
So basically its no games/freshness > tiredness as Atalanta finished their league and looked dead ok their feet tonight in the 2nd half whereas PSG haven’t had a competitive game since March ( Bar 2 cup games )

The new PSG fans all over the world are generally very young on average, would follow PSG because they like a specific player etc.

Personally, I like to see a little taunting, I hate how watered down all sports have become from football, basketball, etc. Haaland had no problems with it, it's just strange to see people all up in their feelings about something this silly, but to each their own.
I'm glad you'll have to keep not standing seeing them in the CL this season.

No Werner will hit them hard I think, he was a huge source of their goal contributions and worked very hard too. Schick/Poulson just aren’t in the same Calibre.
I thought Atalanta was the best team until their legs gave in. PSG have been preparing this match since march or april so the gulf in fitness in the second half was expected.
I would say everyone loses important players all the time, but people just remember absences in the teams that lose.
It's very easy to say now. I've read the opposit far more often "Atalanta have rythm, they played the end of their league and then had 10 days to reload their batteries, its the perfect scenario for them".
Thought it was more the bench for PSG that turned the game for them. Atalanta looked fresh enough and almost won.

Annoyed that Atalanta are out, but strangely happy that PSG are through too. Both PSG and Atlético can beat City, which is all we can really hope for, while Atalanta couldn’t do so at home with a right back in goal.

I do agree there's marketing at play here and that our fanbase (outside a very strong core) isn't as dedicated as it is for Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United. But we do have amazing supporters for decades now.
My thinking is that they'll play either Nkunku or Sabitzer in the same position as Werner played (hope to god its not Lookman who plays there).
The decision to sell Cunha is really coming back to bite them, he would've been the perfect player to replace Werner and he's banging them in for Hertha since moving there.

Literally the only time I remember stuff like this about PSG is when I see them play as there often seem to be antics like this involved and I find that absolutely unlikeable.
But it'll be interesting seeing their upcoming CL clashes for sure!

You'd have to live under a pile of stones high as the everest to not see Werner moving away, he was practically at Bayern/wherever in every transfer window since 2018. The covid situation was unpredictable though.
I didn't mean you, you said yourself you're not bothered by it, but you had a lot of noise about people saying Haaland was being bullied or that he was in PSG's head and everything in between when it's all just a bit of banter, which I happen to enjoy. If it leaves a bad taste in some people's mouth, so be it, I can understand it's not their cup of tea but I tend to think it makes the games more exciting when there's a bit of back and forth and Dortmund had a lot to say themselves before the game, which I enjoy. I wish more teams would have a bit of back and forth and smack talk before games, as long as it's genuine and not manufactured.

I thought I was reading Donald Trump's.
Werner was expected to leave this summer. It was widely accepted that he would move to Bayern last summer but they didn't want to sign him then, so RB and Werner signed a new contract with a performance based buyout clause. He was already playing really well before the winter break (before they sold Cunha), so it was expected that he would leave in the summer for a bigger club.
I think it was more Cunha forcing a move because he was just not getting enough playing time, while also not performing very well when given those limited opportunities. The talent was there though, I remember he scored a brilliant chip goal last season.
352 has been Nagelsmann's go to formation in Europe and bigger games so I don't see him trying something different. It also fits into his general strategy of applying a high press while also maintaining numbers at the back.
It would be really interesting how the match goes tomorrow. The 352 might struggle against a highly defensive and organized A.Madrid team, everything will he very conjested in the center. This is where RB might miss the versatility Werner provided in that he would rotate to the wings regularly and give them that extra width if needed to stretch the backline. The 3 man backline might also get stretched on the counter if they the wing backs over commit and A.Madrid can use space on the wings.
Might be a very cagey affair, low scoring (as usually is with A.Madrid matches). That usually doesn't suit RB because they've been very wasteful lately.
