They don't have "plastic" or "glory hunters" fans that's what I'm talking about. Is that what constitutes a plastic club? No. Is it an historically nothing club being pumped with money by a rich oil sugar daddy? Yes. PSG are a crap club.

It's not something to generally care about and it makes little to no difference to me obviously, as I'm not affiliated with Haaland. But it's extremely cringeworthy from PSG's players, and if you combine stuff like this with the playacting and whining that Neymar is about in the moments he isn't proving his worth as a worldclass footballer, it's extremely easy for neutrals to despise PSG imo. Which is what my post is about, explaining why I personally rather rooted for the underdogs (Atalanta) than for a team I admittedly know very little about, but that I can't stand basically whenever I watch them in the CL.It's just so strange that people even care about this. I think it makes the game more fun but people are acting like Haaland was getting bullied or something; Kimpembe did that during the game, but that's it.
Yeah I get what you’re saying. They don't have "plastic" or "glory hunters" fans that's what I'm talking about.
That's really a weird way to count fans. The same people could be following the club on Face, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. You can't simply add them up.
They aren't out of it of course, but I would put the odds comfortably in Atleticos favour, maybe 70-30 or something like that.Fair enough. By all accounts, Nagelsmann is a brilliant manager, so who knows he might be able to pull an upset.
I got it the wrong way around!! Gutted.Really looking forward to tonight's game. PSG one up into stoppage time and Atalanta to score two late ones!
The new PSG fans all over the world are generally very young on average, would follow PSG because they like a specific player etc. That's really a weird way to count fans. The same people could be following the club on Face, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. You can't simply add them up.
I know plenty of neutrals who love PSG, so I think you're talking for yourself. Neymar's proven his worth anytime he's been on the field, it's the lack of those appearances that's only ever been the issue with him. It's not something to generally care about and it makes little to no difference to me obviously, as I'm not affiliated with Haaland. Obviously they do have nice kits and I understand how their brand is getting so big internationally due to their marketing. But so many aspects about them just aren't appealing to outsiders imo. Look what happened to the French league in the last decade.
Agreed. Neither team looked like a title contender tbh. That PSG equaliser is just the type of goal you score in the 90th minute of a CL knockout game. Great drama.
Fairly anecdotalI know plenty of neutrals who love PSG, so I think you're talking for yourself.
you did goodI got it the wrong way around!! Gutted.
I think it will be a higher quality match than today (which was pretty rubbish) but Leipzig will need a very inspired day to persevereWhy are people writing off RB against Atletico?
Think he played well, tooWas very impressed with his English until I remembered he'd played at Stoke, of all places. What a jump, Stoke to PSG on a free! And, yes, seems very likeable guy.
About as much as what I was responding to.Fairly anecdotal
No Werner will hit them hard I think, he was a huge source of their goal contributions and worked very hard too. Schick/Poulson just aren’t in the same Calibre. Why are people writing off RB against Atletico?
I would say everyone loses important players all the time, but people just remember absences in the teams that lose. Why does it feel like underdog teams always lose an important player too early in the game or even miss them.
2013: Dortmund missing Gotze
2014: Diego Costa quick injury.
2018: Salah quick injury.
Those were all finals. Now Atalanta without Ilicic and Gomez leaving early in the 2nd half.
It's very easy to say now. I've read the opposit far more often "Atalanta have rythm, they played the end of their league and then had 10 days to reload their batteries, its the perfect scenario for them".I thought Atalanta was the best team until their legs gave in. PSG have been preparing this match since march or april so the gulf in fitness in the second half was expected.
Thought it was more the bench for PSG that turned the game for them. Atalanta looked fresh enough and almost won.I thought Atalanta was the best team until their legs gave in. PSG have been preparing this match since march or april so the gulf in fitness in the second half was expected.
Are you being serious?
Asks Man Utd's fans here that were at old trafford last year if PSG's fans are fake. Are you being serious?
These numbers are inconclusive. The fact that Chelsea are above Liverpool should be a massive red data flag for you.

My thinking is that they'll play either Nkunku or Sabitzer in the same position as Werner played (hope to god its not Lookman who plays there). No Werner will hit them hard I think, he was a huge source of their goal contributions and worked very hard too. Schick/Poulson just aren’t in the same Calibre.
Yep I like the look of cunha a lot he’s been fantastic since moving to Berlin, I guess they didn’t expect Werner to move so quickly? Strange. My thinking is that they'll play either Nkunku or Sabitzer in the same position as Werner played (hope to god its not Lookman who plays there).
The decision to sell Cunha is really coming back to bite them, he would've been the perfect player to replace Werner and he's banging them in for Hertha since moving there.
I'm not all up in my feelings, even if you're jokingly trying to say that. I am also not trying to say that Neymar isn't a great player.I know plenty of neutrals who love PSG, so I think you're talking for yourself. Neymar's proven his worth anytime he's been on the field, it's the lack of those appearances that's only ever been the issue with him.
Personally, I like to see a little taunting, I hate how watered down all sports have become from football, basketball, etc. Haaland had no problems with it, it's just strange to see people all up in their feelings about something this silly, but to each their own.
I'm glad you'll have to keep not standing seeing them in the CL this season.
Unless some corruption happens, Bayern have got this trophy. Iam looking forward to Friday.
Congrats on the win. How do you feel about a potential matchup with Atletico?Asks Man Utd's fans here that were at old trafford last year if PSG's fans are fake.
I do agree there's marketing at play here and that our fanbase (outside a very strong core) isn't as dedicated as it is for Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United. But we do have amazing supporters for decades now.
You'd have to live under a pile of stones high as the everest to not see Werner moving away, he was practically at Bayern/wherever in every transfer window since 2018. The covid situation was unpredictable though.Yep I like the look of cunha a lot he’s been fantastic since moving to Berlin, I guess they didn’t expect Werner to move so quickly? Strange.
I didn't mean you, you said yourself you're not bothered by it, but you had a lot of noise about people saying Haaland was being bullied or that he was in PSG's head and everything in between when it's all just a bit of banter, which I happen to enjoy. If it leaves a bad taste in some people's mouth, so be it, I can understand it's not their cup of tea but I tend to think it makes the games more exciting when there's a bit of back and forth and Dortmund had a lot to say themselves before the game, which I enjoy. I wish more teams would have a bit of back and forth and smack talk before games, as long as it's genuine and not manufactured.I'm not all up in my feelings, even if you're jokingly trying to say that. I am also not trying to say that Neymar isn't a great player.
Literally the only time I remember stuff like this about PSG is when I see them play as there often seem to be antics like this involved and I find that absolutely unlikeable.
But it'll be interesting seeing their upcoming CL clashes for sure!
Never gonna happen, too much money to make from having two legs.Neymar and Mbappe are both fantastic players but Mbappe is just crazy fast. Is there any full back who can catch him? Really enjoyed the match but don't like psg players. On a side note, I hope uefa make all the games one legged tie from quarter final onwards .
Ridiculous reason to hate a team. Especially the Haaland one as he actually did troll them.My dislike for PSG stems mainly from my dislike for Neymar, as well as cringey stuff like their entire team mocking Haaland after their win in the return leg against Dortmund due to some random social media account (not actually Haaland) having previously tweeted about Haaland owning Paris.
I think players like Navas, Bernat, Thiago Silva, etc. are all pretty likeable. I'm not a fan of Mbappe though (incredible footballer obviously) and I really can't stand Neymar's antics.
Ronaldo surelyNeymar must be the most hated exciting player ever. The level of football he is capable of should be admired.
I thought I was reading Donald Trump's.Unless some corruption happens, Bayern have got this trophy. Iam looking forward to Friday.
Werner was expected to leave this summer. It was widely accepted that he would move to Bayern last summer but they didn't want to sign him then, so RB and Werner signed a new contract with a performance based buyout clause. He was already playing really well before the winter break (before they sold Cunha), so it was expected that he would leave in the summer for a bigger club.Yep I like the look of cunha a lot he’s been fantastic since moving to Berlin, I guess they didn’t expect Werner to move so quickly? Strange.
Will be interesting what formation they try to use, probably 352 and pack midfield I suspect.
