Feel sorry for Ole as well. He knows what we need and trusts the board to get them....

Wouldn't begrudge him walking away
Yes, I think Ole will be as frustrated as any fan. We really don't know which players Ole requires, but I believe he's a big fan of Sancho, who fits in with his idea of a Man Utd player. I personally, don't think we're in for many players at all. I think we were interested in Grealish, but that would have been if Pogba left, which doesn't look likely. We could be looking at a striker, but possibly only in the winter window, when Ighalo leaves. I think that Ole has complete faith in some of the academy lads coming back next summer, and slotting straight into the first team (I know that some may need a further loan, and some may not improve as much as hoped), but if we get two or three of those players in the squad next season that would be great. I'm not sure we really need a CB, left footed or not, we have Maguire, Bailly, Lindelof, Tuanzebe, Mengi and TFM (who is naturally a CB), also Shaw can slot in there, and I think Jones will still be here, can't see any club coming in for him, possibly the only way would be a pay as you play, and a possible deal if fitness is proven, and Rojo and Smalling to leave. At the moment we have Fred, Matic and McTominay for our DM, holding midfield players, Pogba, Fernandes and Mata as our creative players, Lingard and Pereira as bench players, and Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, James and Ighalo as our forward players. Unless we sell some of these players, I can't see us getting many others in.

Even if we do get Sancho we will be in a real battle to finish 4th next year.

We needed exactly the sort of window Chelsea are having (and they had big deals done before it even opened) but that will simply never happen under our ownership

The Sky Sports article doesn't mention us or anyone else.
If he wants a premier league move over Barcelona, we should fecking be in for him. If we don't, Ed Woodward and co are idiots. 40 million euros is a steal.

I am surprised it has taken you this long to work out. The thing is this signing would be £35m for a 23 year old who wants to come to the premier league, watch how we delay delay delay and then when he is about to go somewhere we will put in a 11th hour bid and offer to him.

Clowns is what this club are run by.

We can't summon €120 for a proven top quality player, but we will splash £153 for an unproven 18 year old.
Ansu Fati looks absolutely class and also there is absolutely no chance that we are ever going to sign him.

Surprised there isn’t more competition for Malang Sarr. He is fairly highly rated in his own right, although France has a sick group of talented young defenders. But he’s on a free.

I haven’t followed him closely though, so I guess he comes with baggage of some sort? Or is it because he’s a fairly short defender?

So if we sign Sarr we'll have 4 very young and highly promising CB's waiting in the wings likely on loan for their chance. Tomori, Ampadu, Mbuyamba, and Sarr. We've seen how the loan system can pay dividends this past season so the hope is that these players all come back fully ready for the first team.

Ok, I haven't watched him much, surely with all the hype surrounding this kid, he must be at least very good. I won't argue that.

But that article saying we will ditch the pursuit of Sancho, so we can pay another £45 to get Fati. How do they see that coming? Because I'm not, nor you are.
It just winds me up that there are journos like this.

Essentially we just need one of them to breakout into a star, ideally Tomori or Ampadu, and the rest will either be sold off for a profit or become important role players in the squad.

Sarr's biggest feat is to have broke through at 17. He hasn't looked like an especially good defender since. He's not among France's most promising CBs, although there's still potential.
I guess you can't argue against free transfer.

Murthy has been all the morning trying to convince Rodrigo to accept to go to Leeds.
His departure would leave 30 million euros

I've seen a few posts along these lines, didn't know whether to take them seriously or not at first....

Solskjaer doesn't seem the type to be demanding of a board and that probably a reason why he was given the job on a permanent basis to begin with. He has the air of a guy who can't believe his luck to be in the position he is in and he's not going to ruffle any feathers with those that put him there. I think he'd happily plod along being United manager and getting paid handsomely while meeting the minimum requirements of his superiors for as long as they allowed him to. Certainly anybody thinking he'd even consider walking away from the job needs to get their heads out of the clouds.

All this fuss, but I still want to believe it's Sancho and Grealish at least by the end of the window.
We have to be at least exploring player plus cash deals for Jack, won't happen but it would at least reduce the initial cost and we love saving money after all

It's utter bollocks from the Daily Mail. I wouldn't get wound up, this follows the tried and tested formula of Any Player + Manchester United = Clicks.

Atlético in negotiations with Espanyol to sign Marc Roca. His clause is 40 but could leave for 15/20m euros.

I think you do Ole a disservice there. I don't think he's happy to 'plod along being United manager and getting paid handsomely' as you state. He wants the club to be winning trophies, and playing attacking, entertaining football. I have no doubt that he has made his requirements to Ed and the board, and is waiting patiently, as we are, for any of those requirements to come to fruition. He is not a manager who will walk away from United if he doesn't get the players he wants, unlike some, he will stay and do what he can to get the club back competing for the big trophies. He also believes in the academy, and has said on numerous occasions that this is a long term plan, which could take several years before everything is in place to be successful. He loves this club, and the supporters, and will sweat blood to achieve that, but unfortunately, on here, if he doesn't achieve things in 5 minutes, then he should go.

Neither City, nor PSG nor Inter, United are the club that negotiates to sign Messi . "In fact, as Deportes Cuatro has been able to know, the English club has already ordered a rapprochement with Leo Messi and would have begun their efforts for his possible signing" .Not the best source unfortunately

I think i just jizzed my pants. Never trust these Spanish journos though, it's always baseless propaganda especially against us so there must be some sort of motive behind this given how much bullshit they spout about us.
