BS - we can't even pump up 100m for Sancho never mind Messi.

I've seen a few posts along these lines, didn't know whether to take them seriously or not at first....

Solskjaer doesn't seem the type to be demanding of a board and that probably a reason why he was given the job on a permanent basis to begin with. He has the air of a guy who can't believe his luck to be in the position he is in and he's not going to ruffle any feathers with those that put him there. I think he'd happily plod along being United manager and getting paid handsomely while meeting the minimum requirements of his superiors for as long as they allowed him to. Certainly anybody thinking he'd even consider walking away from the job needs to get their heads out of the clouds.
I agree with you completely. Unfortunately the forum has a lot of people that dont understand sentimentality is a hindrance in top level football.

 Looks like someone shopped Messi's head onto Shaqiri's body and stuffed it all into a United kit.

The commercial boost alone from signing Messi would help the club long term to translate that to higher income. Ronaldo’s signing overnight made Juve a much bigger commercial brand. How exactly is Sancho in the same stratosphere as Messi? Any fee for him would pay itself back over time and I don’t mean shirt sales, I mean increased brand awareness, more social media followers and in turn would have more brands willing to fork out more to be associated with the club.

The most fascinating thing with Messi is if he does leave how much are Barca going to ask for him? I don’t see anyone paying a big fee and those wages.
A club would have to pay his release clause, only City and PSG could sign him.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d pick Sancho over Messi. No longevity whatsoever and we still don’t have a complete ready made team for him to drop into.

Atlético in negotiations with Espanyol to sign Marc Roca. His clause is 40 but could leave for 15/20m euros.
An absolute bargain. We need a replacement for Matic and should definitely be making contact at these prices.

Ohhh yeah. Like Moyes, LVG & Mourinho who all walked away from the job after not getting who they want . . .

Oh, wait . . .

His release clause is 700m euros isn’t it? Nobody is paying that for a 33 year old. Not even PSG. I thought the rumours were Barca were open to him leaving.
With how much his wages are and how financially strapped Barca are. Letting him walk for free and voiding his contract is the not a bad scenario for them. They can sign multiple players and fix their holes with Messi's wages. It's like their version of our Wayne Rooney problem except we weren't broke.

Utter bollocks

Love how Ole is tainted as this guy who has no backbone yet there are plenty of stories which state quite the opposite.

All we know is what Ole portrays publicly to the media.

Never known quite a manager to have such polar views from the fans

A hard hitting manager went well for us didnt it. (Mou) & for both clubs! (2nd time at Chelsea & the eventual fall out at United)

Lots of entitlement on this forum, many armchair negotiator, armchair managers, who really don’t even know what they actually want.

Want a “perfect” manager who:

Has a ruthless streak
Has great man management skills
Have the ability to demand what he wants from his superiors and NOT get the sack or piss anyone off
Sign anyone he wants without the financial worry. “Just pay €120M as easy as that”
Have free flowing attacking football but retain a rigid defence
Have no player make mistakes and haul them off jf they do.
Sell everyone if they make too many mistakes or are too inconsistent

Yeahhhhh that’s not going to happen

Man Utd’s fan base are turning into an utter joke. Becoming what they didn’t want to become & turning very bitter if they don’t get their own way, wanting the manager to get sacked if no results are there immediately, want their best players sold if they don’t perform 150% each and every game.

What an entitled fan base we’re becoming.

Don’t think any of you could support a team like Tottenham who have been a nearly team for as long as I can remember, Arsenal who are teetering on a free fall or becoming nearly men, Liverpool who have had long periods of midtable /5/6/7th relevance for as long as I can remember.

Think you’d have all jumped ship and supported another team that’s winning all the time.

Get off your high horse, stop thinking about the past and support the team and manager, that’s not to say that neither are free from criticism but when it’s constant, it gets ridiculous. There IS a system of play and there IS signs of improvement, fans eyes are just too rose tinted for Poch who’s won NOTHING, to see otherwise.

This forum would absolutely IMPLODE if Poch ever did turn up and it all went to shit.

In fact, I’d love to see that, just to get the Poch Love-In over and done with and the long term plan can resume once more.

Entitlement.

It's obviously complete rubbish, but just imagine if we pulled off the Messi signing. It would allow Ed to gloat about his big deal, and we would likely be the only team to ever have had both Ronaldo and Messi. Awesome.

I honestly couldn’t be arsed with the potential saga of this even if it meant we signed him at the end. There’s not a chance. What’s he doing in our 15/16 kit anyway...

Some more info on AC Milan's transfers that was previously not covered:

Quotes:
On Aurier: "Aurier, instead, is a great player but in this moment there are not the necessary conditions. He cannot be our objective."

On Donnarumma and Calabria: "His contract expires next June and that's a problem. We are confident that he can continue with us. We'll offer him the best conditions possible. We're ready to make an offer aligned with the value of a player who is so important. Calabria? He's not on the market."

On Rebic, who Milan is working to acquire permanently
: "We're very happy with Rebic, I hope that he can stabilize his position."
So it looks like AC Milan can be ruled out as a suitor for Aurier.

You're forgetting about all of the social media clicks it would generate, and no doubt we would swiftly have an official Argentine beard trimmer sponsor on board which would meet his wages. for a week.

Enjoy the fantasy! It would be worrying if they linked him to all the clubs with money except United.
