City will continue to pursue Koulibaly despite de Laurentiis's hard stance alongside their chase for Lionel Messi.

Liverpool's chase for Thiago is complicated by the fact that they're still trying to sort out Wijnaldum's contract and an overall lack of sales.
We could help out here, let us have Brewster ;)

That feeling is universal
I think there's a word for that feeling.
Considering that half of them are 5'9 and taller, the nature of your feeling seems even more obvious.
Alright, my bad. I didn't think twice before pressing the post button. Nothing against the race or the culture as whole.
Thanks to the admins for editting the post.
What really irritates me when I watch players like the ones I mentioned with their constant pretending. They're always rolling on the ground after a foul, constantly surrounding the ref even if it's clear as a sunny day the decision is correct and final. I must give credit to Neymar, who rode a couple of heavy tackles in the final and got on with it, which really surprised me. I think the dislike towards them came when we lost the final against Barca and mostly Busquets' antics.
Anyway, don't want to derail the thread. I appologize if I've offended anyone.

Just because one player didn't need to bed in does not mean it isnt true. I can name you signings over the last 2 years.

Fred, Keita, Fabinho, Rodri, Le Celso, Ndombole, Cabellos and many more.

The relevant person for us here, Fred, needed more than just a month's time to adjust. And he didn't start to gel well until he got a string of competitive games together with the team. So @UnitedSofa's argument still holds.

Ah play the long game and bid a week before the season starts giving Dortmund no time to find a replacement meaning the deal collapses. Oh well Woodward can tell all the fans we made an offer.
Could look at it slightly different- if United will likely get him anyway, then Dortmund is running out of time to have the cash in hand to spend elsewhere in the market.

The poster actually said they need time to gel, you're the one who gave a time period, from the past players, it is quite clear a minimum of 4-6 months is required.

Did Fernandes require time to 'bed in'?

No

It's a myth that players need to time to gel and adjust to the squad. Adjust to the Prem, yes that may be the case. Adjust to the squad, tactics and gel together. Not so much.

The only way that they can efficiently 'gel' is by playing games together. Competitive games at that.
One example. I think

a) You will find the majority of our signings did
b) I think you will find we dropped points in games where Fernandes could have made the difference in Jan

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Napoli want to offer 30 million Euros + Adam Ounas for Jeremie Boga. They also want to get Cengiz Under from Roma.

If we can't deal with Crystal Palace and Brighton with our current squad we have bigger problems than a few new signings.
We lost to Palace this past season.

No Partey then.
Is he saying that because they couldn't let Guendouzi go? I guess a second chance isn't a bad thing for either party.

Partey was never going to be sold unless the release clause was triggered. That has always been Atletico's position. The same goes for Oblak.

Most likely yeah. They can't afford Partey.

Totally agree but I never thought for a second he'd come to us. City put all the groundwork in to get Pep with the former Barca staff at snr management level. It's no wonder he'd go there.
It wouldn't even surprise me if man city's
Big ambition was more about standing the best chance to get messi and not just Guardiola at the club when they started hiring Barca's old staff all those years ago in the hope it would create such a domino effect.

City will continue to pursue Koulibaly despite de Laurentiis's hard stance alongside their chase for Lionel Messi.
How on earth could they sign both koulibaly and messi in the same window?

Werner already stated he wanted to move abroad and turned down Bayern,
Ziyech stated also he wanted to move abroad and Ajax had his release clause taken out so they could make more.money from a sale,
No one else went in for either despite Werner having a release clause.
Chilwell at £50m is insane and for sure no one else was in for him at that price.
If you say so , Champ.

Ceballos wants to continue with Arsenal but is unsure about Madrid's intentions. It wouldn't surprise me if Zidane keeps him as they might be keen on getting more midfield depth.

It's not the transfer fees that are hard to fathom because Messi would supposedly be coming on a free. It's their wage bill that I don't understand. They already had a colossal wage bill. Add Messi, Koulibaly, and others and its insanity.
