Get better soon Pogba!
Ok I don’t know much about this self-isolating thing, but if he only recovers in a week or two, I think he has to keep self-isolating for two more weeks after that, almost certainly ruling him out of the Palace game.
Yeah, you're right.
He's not had much luck of late. Let's hope it's mild and without symptomsNot his biggest fan, far from it, but wish the lad a speedy recovery.
Lindelof: BatmanSancho: Nein
Harry: Jail
Pogba: Corona
This summer break is no good.
but won't pay more than 5p for six tons of materialEd sees United face-masks opportunity.
It doesn't seem address COVID specifically does it ?"Indeed, to this day, it is perceived by many that a vigorous bout of exercise can temporarily suppress immune function. In the first part of this review, we deconstruct the key pillars which lay the foundation to this theory—referred to as the “open window” hypothesis—and highlight that: (i) limited reliable evidence exists to support the claim that vigorous exercise heightens risk of opportunistic infections; (ii) purported changes to mucosal immunity, namely salivary IgA levels, after exercise do not signpost a period of immune suppression; and (iii) the dramatic reductions to lymphocyte numbers and function 1–2 h after exercise reflects a transient and time-dependent redistribution of immune cells to peripheral tissues, resulting in a heightened state of immune surveillance and immune regulation, as opposed to immune suppression."
Damn, damn damn damn. (Trumpets playing)CAF should send him a get well card on the behalf of that poster.
Dear Paul,
We are not your biggest fans, but do get better. Oh and also a speedy recovery.
Love,
Your Haters
“I wouldn’t sell Madrid a virus”
What?!Apparently 6 Chelsea players have tested positive
So, he doesn't need to self isolate for 24 days? It's been said he has to isolate for a minimum of 14 days now. When he tests negative for the virus he will be allowed back.
Rules are "different" for athletes and other key workers as long as they are frequently tested and they have the resources for all this.
It's not like your average workers where they don't have the capacity to test everyone as much.
Why even mention if your a fan or not, what’s that got to do with anything? Not his biggest fan, far from it, but wish the lad a speedy recovery.
Because you must be his biggest fan to wish him a speedy recovery? Not his biggest fan, far from it, but wish the lad a speedy recovery.
I don't think there has been any study of athletes susceptibility to COVID. The only thing I recall reading were theories that athletes may be more likely to catch it due to their respritory systems being put under increased strain whilst in close quarters to other people, but no evidence was provided. It doesn't seem address COVID specifically does it ?
Statistically, the younger a person is, the less likely they are going to be affected by getting COVID, which is clear when broken down by age of deaths.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm#AgeAndSex
The link with ethnicity isnt inherent, it's environmental. Africa has the lowest fatalitiesHis age group it is true, but the ethnicity puts him a bit higher risk.
I think he has been in England for his entire vacation? There were pictures of him out dining in London with friends. So, he doesn't need to self isolate for 24 days?
Afaik if you have Corona (can't check as NHS website is down), you can stop isolating as soon as you test negative.
Might be different in France though.
Is love to test positive for Covid as super rich footballer. Stuck in my mansion with tennis courts, gyms, etc
Hahaha I was literally just thinking, did he really need to add that bit? Bizarre. Thanks for pointing this out.
No it is a myth, recently travelled to the Caribbean and the demographics there are maybe 60-65% black in the more developed countries yet there is no higher risk of contracting the virus. Also those who do get it usually recover and much faster than those people of the sam race in the USA. But black people there on average are richer than in the USA or Europe and have access to great free healthcare so I think that is the difference.Well, in the UK it's been widely accepted - even by the NHS - that black and ethnic minorities have a higher risk of contracting the virus. I'm not sure whether that translates as having a higher chance of dying from it though.
My wife - who's a pharmacist for the NHS - has had to attend meetings/fill out risk assessment forms because of this.
It is not.But isn’t that due to the fact that they largely live in more deprived areas largely due to our racist society?
Surely it can’t be genetic?
Not sure what that means, the ethnic minorities are actually the ethnic majorities. My wife for example is of ethnic minority, but then she works as a Pharmacist in a hospital, so with that level of patient interaction she is automatically at a higher risk of contracting the disease then your average joe.
Do some reading and don't believe everything you see on the tv. The same Fauci guy stands to profit widely from a vaccine, if his becomes the widely used one, but if people do not see this virus as all threatening no one will feel the need to take it; hence why he is in the media daily.I don't understand how requiring hospitals to report cases of harmful and infectious diseases incentivises them to do so.
All that paper does is attempt to find holes in the multitude of research studies that show vigorous exercise diminishes immune response. It provides no research of its own and is fairly meaningless as a result."Indeed, to this day, it is perceived by many that a vigorous bout of exercise can temporarily suppress immune function.
World #19 tennis player was completely wiped by it for a month and said he still isn’t 100%, two months later.Queue the ”get well soons”. Who was that City lad you were all wishing a speedy recovery who never felt a symptom?
Pogba’s a prime athlete in his 20’s, he’ll likely have no or extremely mild symptoms and only knows he has it because footballers are tested all the time.
You could do with citing some sources rather than telling people to "do some reading"No it is a myth, recently travelled to the Caribbean and the demographics there are maybe 60-65% black in the more developed countries yet there is no higher risk of contracting the virus. Also those who do get it usually recover and much faster than those people of the sam race in the USA. But black people there on average are richer than in the USA or Europe and have access to great free healthcare so I think that is the difference.
The economic situation of black people in the USA and the below average healthcare availble there for most folk who are not rich.
It is not.
Not sure what that means, the ethnic minorities are actually the ethnic majorities.

He said 'likely' There's no need to catastrophise. How many athletes of the many that have had it are still struggling with it?World #19 tennis player was completely wiped by it for a month and said he still isn’t 100%, two months later.
It's a risk to everyone no matter the age or fitness. I thought we were way past downplaying the effects of the virus? He said 'likely' There's no need to catastrophise. How many athletes of the many that have had it are still struggling with it?
But it's also getting less and less dangerous, thank god. (Apparently)World #19 tennis player was completely wiped by it for a month and said he still isn’t 100%, two months later.
The most anyone ever self isolates for is 2 weeks.Ok I don’t know much about this self-isolating thing, but if he only recovers in a week or two, I think he has to keep self-isolating for two more weeks after that, almost certainly ruling him out of the Palace game.
He's highly likely to be completely fine like the rest of the players that have it and have already had it. It's not downplaying anything. It's a risk to everyone no matter the age or fitness. I thought we were way past downplaying the effects of the virus?
Hopefully it won’t have any impact on Pogba’s health.World #19 tennis player was completely wiped by it for a month and said he still isn’t 100%, two months later.
