Skriniar talks about the speculation on his future.

Quotes:
I was accustomed to playing every game, but the coach started to make changes, seeing as we were playing every three days. After achieving good results without conceding goals, the coach didn’t want to transform the XI until the Final of the Europa League. It was disappointing not to play, but the important thing was that the team did well. I still have a three-year contract with Inter. The club has never told me that I am not wanted, the coach still wants me there and I have no reason to leave Inter. There are 30 players in the squad, it’s only natural the coach has to make decisions and he does it for the good of the team.

I love how all these journalists who were completely blindsided by our interest until it was reported elsewhere suddenly have 'the inside story'.
Were The Athletic journalists ever blindsided? They never spoke about this transfer until things started to pick up. The only journalists talking about us monitoring van de Beek were journalists based outside of England and English journalists who base their stories off of them.

English journalists don't tend to have links outside of their football clubs, so it doesn't surprise me that they struggle to get up-to-date, instant info.

Doucoure supposedly quite poor last season but I really liked the look of him when I saw him play. 20m a very decent deal for him I reckon.

He's seems to be either unplayable or hopeless when I watch him. He's not a consistent 7 out of 10 player.

hopefully it was just a case of him giving up last season because he wanted to leave rather than a long term thing.

Koeman's keen on Wijnaldum, but Barcelona are yet to approach Liverpool for him. Are they waiting until they can sign him without having to pay a fee?

Yeah it will be Wijnaldum out and Thiago in like we all thought would be the case

A fact that many on here will willfully ignore in the coming months as they bash us for being incompetent in the market. Which isn't to say we've been perfect, or that I would be OK with us tapping out after signing VdB this summer, but it's important to give credit where due. I rate both Bruno and VdB above of Maddison in terms of talent and fit, as well.

Man, it really feels like everyone in the league is loading up like mad. Everyone except for Liverpool who have been shockingly quiet. Tbf, as runaway league winners you probably don't need much, but as a Chelsea supporter who saw two recent title winning sides fail to properly build on that success Liverpool may regret standing still.

Everton might be this season's Wolves or Sheffield United if their players click. Being a genuinely solid side finishing around the 6th-7th area.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
him and De Gea. Both joined in July 2011, no idea who came first.
Now that was top muppeting. From memory SSN breaking news was he was off to Liverpool for a medical and they were following his car and realised it was off to Manchester! I was ecstatic as he was a top prospect. It’s sad his injuries ruined his potential.
