Briefly, yeah, but not from more reliable sourcesWeren't we linked with him in the last year?

Come on, Greenwood is a generational talent that has been on the radar of anyone with even half an eye on youth football for at least four years. His trajectory has nothing to do with Solskjaer developing him. Sure he hasn't stunted his development like a Mourinho might have but all Greenwood needed is minutes on the pitch and whether he was given them by Solskjaer, Robbie savage, Paul Ince or Mike Bassett wouldn't have made a difference.Ridiculous of you to say this when only last season, Ole has developed Greenwood into one of the best prospects in the world. I really would take his word seriously as he has established his credibility in identifying young talent.
So 2 seasons or so ago there were people suggesting we should sign Ryan Sessegnon for £30 million+ from Fulham in the championship. I said thats too much money for a player from the championship. Villa have now spent £27.2 million on a forward from the championship - pretty close. Gonna say the same again, too much money. If he does great and is one of the top scorers in the premier league next season feel free to come at me. But I think I was without a doubt right about Sessegnon and I'll remain consistent here with Watkins.Tweet

Mike Bassett gave both Benson and Hedges a debut during an important World cup qualifier, so don't lump him in with the other jokers.Come on, Greenwood is a generational talent that has been on the radar of anyone with even half an eye on youth football for at least four years. Ole name-checking De Ligt as a hint we might be after him next summer?Ya this and Rojo comments make it seem like we're holding off on cb for this season. Tbf, if we're delaying with the intention of signing Upamecano for £45m next season it's not that bad. I think lb and Sancho should still be higher priority. Maguire and Lindelof are acceptable for 1 more season
Given he's played for Ajax, Liverpool and Farcalona why does he suddenly need a EU passport ?
- Suarez is taking an "Italian exam" to get a European passport in order to sign for Juventus.
Juve filled their non EU quota, so he needs to get it to not be classified as such...Given he's played for Ajax, Liverpool and Farcalona why does he suddenly need a EU passport ?
Far too much money. It’s not like Watkins smashed the Championship scoring record or anything. It’s huge money for a talented kid who’ll have it tough in the premier league. Imagine the pressure of the price tag as well.So 2 seasons or so ago there were people suggesting we should sign Ryan Sessegnon for £30 million+ from Fulham in the championship. It seems like they just want to get someone in regardless of the quality? How could one prefer Dzeko or Cavani over Suarez?Tweet

The headline may refer to Suarez and Dzeko, but there are a few more interesting bits of info in here.
- Suarez is taking an "Italian exam" to get a European passport in order to sign for Juventus.
- Juve, however, don't want to wait, which is why they're keeping tabs on Dzeko.
- Depends on whether Roma get Milik from Napoli
- Juve are monitoring Cavani, whose entourage has met up with Atletico Madrid recently.
- Some Arab & Chinese clubs inquired Juventus about Douglas Costa.
- Costa himself has yet to show any interest.
They preferred Dzeko first and foremost, but the fact that he didn't put pressure on Roma meant that they had to look elsewhere. Luis Suarez was the next available option at the time, so they've pushed hard for him. Cavani's the 3rd option in case Dzeko remains at Roma and Suarez couldn't get signed for whatever reason (passport or time). It seems like they just want to get someone in regardless of the quality? How could one prefer Dzeko or Cavani over Suarez?
Jesus Christ, it's one thing to say that he's generational, and that coaching isn't the only aspect in his development. It's another to totally downplay the impact of Solskjaer to the point of redundancy.Come on, Greenwood is a generational talent that has been on the radar of anyone with even half an eye on youth football for at least four years. He'll prove value if he gets double digit goals, doesn't need to be near the top scorers in the league.Far too much money. It’s not like Watkins smashed the Championship scoring record or anything. It’s huge money for a talented kid who’ll have it tough in the premier league. Imagine the pressure of the price tag as well.
They were a smoking pair though.Mike Bassett gave both Benson and Hedges a debut during an important World cup qualifier, so don't lump him in with the other jokers.

I don't agree. I think you misspelt Bruno Fernandes.Jesus Christ, it's one thing to say that he's generational, and that coaching isn't the only aspect in his development. It's another to totally downplay the impact of Solskjaer to the point of redundancy.
Ole has without doubt helped improve the attacking aspect of our team, and Mason has greatly benefited from that.
I think the link is real and we will try to get him. Lyon absolutely needing to sell and without any other club willing to pay up, this will go until the end of the window.Decent price for a good player, the irony being Arsenal still can't afford him.
I agree, may as well stick his hand into his pocket all credibility was lost when he sacked staff even after players took a wage cut to stop it from happening...I think the link is real and we will try to get him. Martinez and Torreira will probably be sold but that's not enough. Gabriel + Partey + Aouar would be around 120M which is not a lot for the quality we'd be getting.

I don’t believe this. We actually have midfielders now with decent depth, can’t see us seriously in for him when we need other areas addressed.Tweet

Yep.. and no one makes a bid without talking to the player first anymore. If the player doesnt want to come, the club wouldnt make a bid.I don’t believe this. We actually have midfielders now with decent depth, can’t see us seriously in for him when we need other areas addressed.
Plus he’s a die hard Milan fan so he was always going there
I disagree. Yes he was a special talent at youth levels but so were so so many before him who didn’t get a chance or take their chance.Come on, Greenwood is a generational talent that has been on the radar of anyone with even half an eye on youth football for at least four years. Doesn't sound like either of you have watched him, i've yet to hear anybody who has say Villa have overpaid and neither would I.
Is he actually going to make him captain though, or is this just talk?No new CB then...
