Another day and another player slips away, personally I have always liked Shaw and he's looking lean and ready to go for the new season. I wonder who we will be linked with tomorrow?
He does look lean, but every year we say he looks leaner than last year. So I suppose he would eventually arrive at one pre-season looking like a footballer. Him looking lean is not the problem, it is him keeping fit.

I can't remember a season where Shaw didn't "look lean and ready to go" in September. The problem is Christmas time and the 180,000 mince pies the fecker fills himself with before picking up some dodgy injury early on in the new year.

My thoughts exactly. By which time he is gasping for air by the time he gets to the opposition box, no wonder he can't get the ball in. Think he is just one of the those people who struggle to keep weight off.

I'm right there alongside him in that department myself. But I wouldn't want United closing another transfer window with me as their only real left back either.

I've posted very little on transfers. I've tried to stay calm and ignore it as much as possible.

But I'm now panicking. Something ain't right here.

Can't be mad at this at all. Madrid want the luxury of binning a player in favour of getting him back if he's potentially influential. We deny that agreement rightly so and spurs allow themselves to get bent over if necessary when the player becomes useful. Exactly as Juve are doing with De Ligt and Haaland in 24 months time.

Given the history with Modric and Bale unless the player declines he will be definitely be playing in London this season.

Except what if he's fantastic and helps Spurs get CL above us this season and next? Spurs can then attract better players than us.

Laurie Whitwell has weighed in on Reguilon. Apparently, the agents were driving much of the negotiations.

Looks like this is how we approach most of the new signings: go through agents and have them negotiate on our behalf. In the Reguilon situation, however, his agents were driving most of the negotiations instead of United, which could explain our hard stance on no release clause and no right of first refusal.

Now this would be some deal. According to the article, one proposal is for Spurs to get Bale on loan is to have Real Madrid cover 50% of his wages whilst Madrid themselves loan in Dele Alli and cover 100% of his wages. Spurs would pay 300k Pounds/week with 150k covered by Alli going to Madrid.

My question now is: when did Alli start earning 150k/week?

Very true, there is a very good footballer in there somewhere though, if he keeps fit I would take Shaw all day long

Deli Ali under Zidane would be interesting.
Be great if Ali found some form. Sure, he's abit of a knob but England could do with some quality in midfield and he still has untapped potential, imo.

Son and Kane didn't look great against Everton.
Really couldn’t give 2 fecks what Spurs do to be honest, Mourinho will burn the place to the ground before he’s gone, probably by January with the shite he’s spouting already.

I dont think Shaw is capable of looking lean. Its just how he's built. He's always been a broad lad.

We were warned a few weeks back that transfer activity would be kept low due to the financial crisis being covid etc. In one way it's good business sense but when you see the likes of Chelsea spunking £200m it's fairly hard to take, even arsenal have had an ok window. I guess this coming season will be tough.......Oh wait we still have the likes of Jones, smalling, Jesse and Andreas:wenger:
