The arrogance of Woodward to still be chasing after Sancho at this stage. He will never fecking learn, and it's obvious that we don't have any alternatives lined up because we were so sure that we'd get him.
if we do end up getting him, will you praise him for being right from the start??

No because he will pay for the full asking price which he should have done at the very beginning. Then he would be available from the beginning of the season.

Kehl also leaves the door open to an exit in the future.

This pretty much confirms what I thought: Dortmund want him to stay this season but would be happy to sell him next season.
But this is the thing I don’t understand. Dortmund fans and German fans in general are pointing to Dortmund now ‘wanting to keep all their best players and take the next step up’. They will lose Sancho next season and Haaland the season after. They still will be selling these players and having to replace them with lesser players and start the cycle again. Perhaps the trend ends with Haaland and receiving around 180 million over two seasons will allow them to buy more established players who see their future at Dortmund?

That's my guess, too. It seems like they're taking the Liverpool approach where they let a player go if they want to leave but continue to improve by maximising their existing talents and continuing to make shrewd purchases.

What is so hard to understand here? The ultimate goal is sporting success. A lot of people here like to talk about Dortmund's "Business Model", like it would be their main concern. They are a member controlled football club first and foremost(yes, you can buy shares, but they are of the non-voting type). If they can hold onto their star players, they do for as long as they can.

Can't be clearer than that - stick a fork on that transfer thread

On the very day he joined Spurs somebody asked him Spurs or United and he replied 'United'. 4 hrs later he'd agreed to go to Spurs and it became evident United didn't even entertain the idea because of the release clause

He's been well off the mark with United news all summer. Didn't know about Sancho contract extension or DVB either.
On the same day we were definitely closer. Spurs were not as far ahead as us with the player. He wasnt the only one saying United the Madrid mouth pieces were too.

I think as with all things internet fans etc dont want to understand that things change even in a day. Do you remember Willian signing for Spurs then ending up at Chelsea? Pedro to United then ending up at Chelsea?

Fact is United were very much down the line with the deal but we had not agreed to the buyout. Spurs came in that day and agreed the deal. Shit happens

I won't be surprised if it was Paratici of Juventus trying to get rid of one of their expensive misfits :)

I read Sancho will be staying put this season. I wonder if he'll want to come next season when we play Europa league again?

I want this guy to stay away from United's business as much as I want to get rid of Woodward

But they aren’t holding onto them long enough. That was their point by keeping Sancho they’re showing they can hold onto their star players. But everyone and their dog knows they’re losing him and Haaland soon enough.

I just watched Evra's IG video, and that stuck out to me. The other thing that stuck was the fact that Ed was too trusting to people who work with him. It seems like Ed isn't as actively involved in the club as we thought; he's sort of like Joel Glazer in that he signs off and makes the final decisions. My guess is that he probably gets more involved if things aren't going well, and that's when he tries to get certain deals over the line (like Maguire or Bruno).

Loic Tanzi talks about PSG's current situation when it comes to their transfer activity.

Translation:
We talked a lot about arrivals [incoming transfers], but we must not forget that, before the start of the Mercato [i.e. transfer window], PSG wanted to end up benefitting with 60 million Euros [from departures]. There were big savings in wages, but they still have to sell.
Basically, PSG won't look to buy more players unless they sell. Regardless, they are still looking to sell players in order to not overspend. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more reports on more PSG players leaving the club.

EDIT: additional context

Translation:
To understand: in 2018/2019, the Parc des Princes (matchday & hospitality) brought in 103 million Euros. We can divide this figure by 10 easily if health situation does not change [only 1/10 of the tickets can be sold at this time]. We are also not counting the losses in merchandising on matchday. Paris must sell.

No because it will be another instance where this clown has panicked and caved for a player he should've had wrapped up months ago.

Yeah what this guy said.

Why are people talking about Ismaila Sarr possibly coming to us? Are they creating imaginary scenarios in their head and making them seem real, or is there something going that I'm not aware of?
