Jones wouldn’t get anywhere near Burnley’s team
Disagree. If fit and with a run of games ( I know I know) he would be an excellent signing for Burnley, or any number of lower level teams in the league.

Burnley started Jimmy Dunne and Kevin Long as CBs this weekend, and promptly shipped 4.

We should look into loaning out a couple of the players we cannot sell. We could be lucky that they do a good job wherever they go and would then easier be able to sell them next season. Of course this is only possible for players for with contracts longer than 2021
Rojo was loaned to his home club and they let him come back or didn’t use him. Apparently he is going there on a free next summer. Lingard and Perreira are the only two I can see having any takers for a loan.

I could easily imagine jones being one of those players that if left united this summer he would end up in league 1 within 2 or 3 seasons
No chance. As stated above, if he could get a little luck with injuries he would be a Johnny Evans repeat.

Douglas Costa to Wolves seems to be gaining momentum on twitter. Says a lot when even Wolves are blowing us away in the market.

What's happening there, actually? It's like every Mendes client and their mother is being transferred there. Where's the money coming from, and why has Mendes seemingly a monopoly there? This seems sooo dodgy..

Manchester United and Porto are still haggling over a fee for Alex Telles but the Brazil left-back has signalled his determination to move to Old Trafford.
Telles has a €40 million (£36.6m) release clause in his contract. Porto and United remained apart on their valuation of Telles but a deal is likely to progress quickly should a compromise be reached. The Portuguese club are aware of Telles’ desire to move to Old Trafford. Solskjaer believes United need more quality options at full-back

United have distanced themselves from the prospect of meeting Borussia Dortmund’s £108m valuation of Jadon Sancho.

Solskjaer is eager to sign a right-sided forward who can offer pace, width, creativity and a goal threat.

involved in similarly tough discussions with Roma over the sale of Chris Smalling. Roma had an opening bid of around £12m rejected by United they are expected to return with an improved offer. United want around £20M.

Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are surplus to requirements but their huge wages have made them difficult to offload.

United are also open to offers for goalkeeper Sergio Romero but his wages make it difficult to get a fee for him.

Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot are others facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford.

Agreed. I think apart from the number of injuries he had, the way his facial expressions were subject of ridicule made him look even worse than he is.

Unfortunately a section of our fans fall for these ABU isms.

I feel Maguire is next.... everything he does is ridiculed and certain people that call themselves United fans help those with an ABU agenda by applauding them.

So frustrating that we ended up with AWB over Aarons only a year ago.

Wolves have a billionaire owner and they also sold Jota for over £35 million...

Said it pre-season, all those saying Chelsea will challenge this year. a) No City/liverpool still way ahead b) Will be dressing room unrest, only press but already seeing links now of Hudson-Odoi and now Rudiger looking to leave

Pressure will be on Lampard this season

Rojo was very unlucky that his loan period was at the same time as the world was hit by corona virus and combined with a small injury he was just very unlucky

But it shall mean that there was interest in Romero, Dalot, Mata - we could at least sell those (and Smalling where interest is officially confirmed)
Villa was showing interest in Romero iirc. Dalot had some alleged interest from Barca and PSG i think and Smalling from Roma...but for the life of me i can't see anyone giving us actual money for Mata.

I just dont rate the guy.
Neither did I but I actually think he'd work really well in our squad with Telles coming in LB too. Both wide players with great attacking ability and both can play wing back even though one is a LB and the other RW.

It would give us so many options with Greenwood being first choice RW.

Traore is proven to cause prem teams problems.

Jones should’ve been in League 1 by now if it wasn’t for the incompetent people that keeps pay huge money to keep him. He should be on a pay as you play deal. But You’re probably right. He will be here until 2023, and after that League 1.

The absolute disrespect for a player who has given nothing but his all for the club, who has won honors here and is an England international, is nothing short of disgusting and abhorrent behaviour for a so called Man Utd “Fan”

Jones has talent, he’s just unfortunate suffered with lots of injuries.

He’s not cr*p by any means and by no means is a league 1 player by any stretch of the imagination.

Terrible post.

Just because they won trophies, doesn't mean they are still currently of a standard worthy of the Premier League. Jones' injury record and generally shit level of performances in the past 4-5 seasons doesn't put him close to many Premier Leagues.

I really don't like Woodward and Glazers but God he has made journalists and twitterheads look stupid this summer.

It looks like without writing about United, they have no jobs.

If I was a journalist I would start working next week.

I'd like to know what is considered a "substantial fee" here. On the one hand, I don't think we should just let him go for peanuts. On the other hand, if he is really on 90K/week, then the savings of getting wages off the book for a player who has no chance of ever seeing the field for us this season have to be factored into our asking price.

Charming, it is the wages right? You'd think they would want to play football and take wage cut. Right, not our Gods gifts to football greedy little fcuks. Shove them in reserve team with no first team football ever again, slash their wages to 10000 £ per week, and they will find the club and leave in 10 minutes.
Jose put Schweini in reserve team, he was gone before sundown, not really, but you know what I mean.
Oh, and freak off Ed for giving huge wages to crap players before they even kicked ball for us. My granma would do better job then him.
Rant over. Sorry. Hat to went. Tired of the way we are ren. Run? Ran? God, I hate english grammar. Rant truly over.
