I’m clearly not talking about all Muslims...You're really from Manchester and you believe what you just said?
Good, let’s start exporting rest of the citizens when one of them commits a crime. Where do you suggest they send them? What’s funny? Or is political correctness more important than telling the truth as to why there’s terror attacks in Europe?
Vast majority of migrants and refugees don't share IS ideology, hence why they wanted to escape it.huh? IS have already claimed it and he was shouting “allahu akbar” in one of the videos. Don’t get why people always post this when it’s obvious.
"Importing people that follow a religion that wants you dead" leaves little to the imagination about what you mean, and even if you weren't, all nuance was lost in that trainwreck of a post.I’m clearly not talking about all Muslims...
Ah. I didn’t realise he meant refugees. Usually people get shut down for assuming it's IS, which I think is fair cop.Vast majority of migrants and refugees don't share IS ideology, hence why they wanted to escape it.
Perhaps some reflection as to why they want us dead is required and our nations can begin conducting themselves accordingly?Mass importing of people who follow an ideology that’s wants you dead isn’t the best idea...
Have the attackers even been identified yet? What if they were Austrian nationals that were born and bred and educated in the country?I’m clearly not talking about all Muslims...
Yes, a period of sober reflection and exculaption of the murderers after your citizens have been slaughtered should be standard practice.Perhaps some reflection as to why they want us dead is required and our nations can begin conducting themselves accordingly?
It's that or kill them all, which most of us probably wouldn't support in this day and age.
This line is a joke, right?Perhaps some reflection as to why they want us dead is required and our nations can begin conducting themselves accordingly?
Shoe. Pot. Other. Kettle. Foot. Black.Yes, a period of sober reflection and exculaption of the murderers after your citizens have been slaughtered should be standard practice.
Problem is @Schmeichel's Cartwheel that when you drop posts like you did a thread about an ongoing Islamist killing spree gets derailed by those wanting to change the subject.
You know why ISIS works to radicalize people to attack us, right? This line is a joke, right?
He's not capable of being rhetorical. A pure literalist, like the men following their book in Vienna. This line is a joke, right?
[Guardian]According to the information provided by the crisis team to the ORF, the suspected perpetrator shot was wearing an explosives belt. This is currently being defused by the demining service. He is also said to have carried a lot of ammunition with him.
A classic example of the shoepot calling the other kettlefoot black, ah yisShoe. Pot. Other. Kettle. Foot. Black.
You can’t see why your post was a little inflammatory? You can’t see why emphasising (and implicitly vilifying) the role of western countries in terror attacks such as this one might be a slightly insensitive thing to say at present? Not to mention the many problems associated with the implication that all that is needed to solve this problem is “reflection as to why they want to kill us”. Right. You know why ISIS works to radicalize people to attack us, right?
Let me turn that question on you: Do you think jihadism in Europe would not exist had the West never intervened in a middle eastern conflict? You know why ISIS works to radicalize people to attack us, right?
I don't think it's nearly as inflammatory as this:You can’t see why your post was a little inflammatory? You can’t see why emphasising (and implicitly vilifying) the role of western countries in terror attacks such as this one might be a slightly insensitive thing to say at present? Not to mention the many problems associated with the implication that all that is needed to solve this problem is “reflection as to why they want to kill us”. Right.
But yes, terrorism is horrible. Average people should die like this, killed indiscriminately by foreign threat actors while going about their daily business.Mass importing of people who follow an ideology that’s wants you dead isn’t the best idea...
It's certainly debatable. Western meddling, beginning with Sykes-Picot and continuing through to the creation of Israel has caused that region to be a powder keg. Rather than try to fix the problems we created constructively, we continue to use force, which begets force.Let me turn that question on you: Do you think jihadism in Europe would not exist had the West never intervened in a middle eastern conflict?
Clearly that's ignoring the obvious, that no amount of heinous foreign policy justifies walking through a peaceful street shooting, stabbing, beheading and blowing up civilians.
Wow...Perhaps some reflection as to why they want us dead is required and our nations can begin conducting themselves accordingly?
Wow.Mass importing of people who follow an ideology that’s wants you dead isn’t the best idea...
Boy did you come out from under your rock in double time.Mass importing of people who follow an ideology that’s wants you dead isn’t the best idea...
What a cretinous thing to say, hope you're proud.Mass importing of people who follow an ideology that’s wants you dead isn’t the best idea...
the situation is still active, afaik, so my poiunt is/was let it finish before we all jump into the blaming and handwringing.huh? IS have already claimed it and he was shouting “allahu akbar” in one of the videos. Don’t get why people always post this when it’s obvious.
What kind of thrillseeker must you be to go into the bomb defusing line of work?Explosive belt worn by attacker being defused
The explosive belt we mentioned earlier – reported to have been worn by an attacker who has since been shot – is currently being defused by the demining service, the Australian broadcaster ORF reports:
[Guardian]
Very concerning that there are others on the run still
It is the classic "they asked for it" argument which is always stupid. It was always going to be this way. This is life from now on.
Austria has pretty much zero involvement in the War on Terror so there goes the argument that this is all because of intervention in the Middle East.
I doubt they are thrillseekers. I think a lot of them are kind of pushed into that role in the army. What kind of thrillseeker must you be to go into the bomb defusing line of work?
Who can say what the motivation can be and while there can never be any justification, hate crime towards Muslims and particularly against Muslim women have risen in Austria. It was always going to be this way. This is life from now on.

Awful, the ‘it’s our own fault‘ rubbish.Perhaps some reflection as to why they want us dead is required and our nations can begin conducting themselves accordingly?
It's that or kill them all, which most of us probably wouldn't support in this day and age.
And perhaps you can explain exactly where he said that?Awful, the ‘it’s our own fault‘ rubbish.
Does it really need pointing out?And perhaps you can explain exactly where he said that?
I believe it does and it should be very entertaining watching you make your extraordinary feats of leaping towards misinterpretations.Does it really need pointing out?
suggesting we should look at why they want to kill us then behave accordingly is pretty obviously saying we need to change our behaviour. Which leads me to believe the poster thinks we are in some way to blame. Plenty of ways to interpret text on the internet though. You got a different interpretation?I believe it does and it should be very entertaining watching you make your extraordinary feats of leaping towards misinterpretations.
Certainly one of the more comical car crashes we see on Current Events. I've always held this theory that people rush to judgements based upon their own moral compass.suggesting we should look at why they want to kill us then behave accordingly is pretty obviously saying we need to change our behaviour. Well, it’s not really a moral compass is it? More connecting a comment with something seen quite regularly in these threads. Anyway, I’ll think about the ballet in the morning if I can manage to get some sleep.Certainly one of the more comical car crashes we see on Current Events. He didn't mention blame or apportioning it to ourselves. @Dwazza Gunnar Solskjær suggested that we reflect and that our combined nations act in concert.
I suggest you join the line for the Sadler's Wells Ballet Company auditions.
Come on, Oates. You’re being ridiculous now. The obvious implication was that the west are in some way to blame, as is demonstrated when that post is placed alongside his subsequent post:Certainly one of the more comical car crashes we see on Current Events. For what it’s worth, I don’t have any great issue with Dwazza’s post, but I think the timing of such a comment is poor and I don’t think he should have placed so much emphasis, at a granular level, on the west’s role in these heinous attacks. Let’s be clear, this was the work of some deranged lunatics, and they are primarily at fault. There is context, of course, but that recognition - that the individuals that commit these acts are primarily at fault - should underpin any future discussions. It's certainly debatable. I'm not trying to justify the terrorist acts at all but when someone posits that immigration is the reason for Islamic terrorism in Europe I'm going to offer a counter argument that has more basis in fact.
Perhaps you are right. Maybe it is short-sightedness or even seeing what you prefer to see. Either way a pathetic attempt to breach the chasm of understanding the written word.Well, it’s not really a moral compass is it? More connecting a comment with something seen quite regularly in these threads. Anyway, I’ll think about the ballet in the morning if I can manage to get some sleep.
Don't give me 'Come on Oates' - we're not back in the playground. Read what is there, that's all.Come on, Oates. You’re being ridiculous now. The obvious implication was that the west are in some way to blame, as is demonstrated when that post is placed alongside his subsequent post:
