Kind of incredible this group, a couple of games changed everything.
Yeah we should never be losing to Istanbul and now made it so hard for ourselvesKind of incredible this group, a couple of games changed everything.
I wish I had written it down, but I had a feeling that the Istanbul game was the trap game of the group for United, especially after the confidence they had from the PSG game. PSG went from looking out of the group to likely topping it in those last couple of games too.Yeah we should never be losing to Istanbul and now made it so hard for ourselves
Saw it happening a mile off to be fair after that Istanbul game.Kind of incredible this group, a couple of games changed everything.
If we're out cos of that stupid loss in Istanbul...Dude. Don't put strain on our heart.
We don't need to win in our final game, especially with PSG likely wrap up the top spot...
It's not a group of death. The German guys have everton's transfer budget. The treble group was a group of death. It was us, Bayern, barca and psvThis thread has aged like milk
If you’re in a “group of death” and you lose to the whipping boys you’re always going to be in big big trouble.
Correct. It's not a group of death. The German guys have everton's transfer budget. The treble group was a group of death. It was us, Bayern, barca and psv
Brondby. Not PSV.It's not a group of death. The German guys have everton's transfer budget. The treble group was a group of death. It was us, Bayern, barca and psv
Qualification is in our hands but not winning the group is I am afraid due to the H2HRight now it feels like we’ve blown it. But in reality, it’s still in our hands.
The timing and result of the Istanbul game is a killer for us.That match pretty much blew the group wide open as it happened at the midway point.
Would prove we aren't fully concentrated on every group game and stupidly took the result for grantedIf we're out cos of that stupid loss in Istanbul...
Pretty certain he would stay in charge whatever happens next week. That result in Istanbul makes me angry because our arrogance cost us big time thereI’ve never predcited in any of the Ole sack watch threads , but I would finally deduce that Ole would get the sack if we don’t qualify to the knockout stages.
He's right. It was Brondby in the treble season. It was psv
I blame the OPWe've went from guaranteed to qualifying to getting knocked out
Come on. The Real Madrid group is more entertaining. From neutral point of view, this group is the best and most entertaining!
Football, bloody hell!
Just tell Ole he is getting firedDon't know why but I suddenly feel very confidant about the RB game. It feels we will win there.
The pressure will be high and this squad just seems to do much better when everyone expects them to flop, so I feel confident we will win there.Just tell Ole he is getting fired
jeez you're right. My mistake. He's right. It was Brondby in the treble season.
We don't need to win right? I believe a draw will do?And what makes some of you think the win is guaranteed? We play Leipzig over in Germany. Ok no crowds but still a travel away game. And they are on a good run of form in the Bundesliga.
Seriously, rather get a tough knockout round draw. The EL is just a wank competition for big clubs as arrogant as that sounds. No EL please, my Thursday nights are busy these days and it'll be impossible to watch games
I meant win by winning or drawing. But some are confident we will win by outright winning. Look at their form in the Bundesliga. We don't need to win right? I believe a draw will do?
I don't think its easy to predict this. We tend to play against teams that look to dominate as Leipzeg definitely will do, and have much better players than they do, so usually you'd expect us to win or draw, but United post SAF tend to be poorly managed so anything goes, really. But it has to be said that we tend to pull a result out of the bag when we look like fecking things up.
I won't disagree, for me it'll be a scheduling nightmare for sure on top of thatSeriously, rather get a tough knockout round draw. The EL is just a wank competition for big clubs as arrogant as that sounds.
Brøndby rather than PSV. And we beat them 5-0 and 2-6. Thus, we could afford to draw the rest of the games against Bayern and Barca and still go through with 10 points. Beating the minnows twice is imperative in any group, let alone tough ones like ours. It's not a group of death. The German guys have everton's transfer budget. The treble group was a group of death. It was us, Bayern, barca and psv
Annoyed? that’s putting it mildly given the start we had ....but then again not totally surprised. Is anyone else also supremely annoyed that we almost certainly won't finish top now?
