Will Liverpool ever lose a home league game again under Klopp?

4.5 years and 64 games since they last tasted defeat at home. Opposition teams are petrified before they even enter the pitch at Anfield. Opposition players have bottled penalties with the last kick of the game, they've squandered chances they wouldn't even miss blindfolded on any other ground. On the occasions where the scores have been level going into the last 5-10 minutes, opposition players have done something utterly daft like conceding a soft goal or given away a penalty.

The only opponents to come out on top at Anfield in the past few years were Atletico. But they started the game with a solid advantage (one away goal would kill the tie) and even then they almost found a way to bottle it.

16/17: 1-1-0
17/18: 12-7-0
18/19: 17-2-0
19/20: 18-1-0
20/21: 5-0-0
Total: 53-11-0

Klopp has created an aura about them where opponents have lost the moment they realise the next game on the calendar is at Anfield. It has reached a point where he could send out 11 mannequins and they'd still not lose. I can't see them losing at home again as long as he is there.

That is pretty crazy, did not realize this was a thing. It's not even their unbeaten run from 19/20 that's contributing to the majority of the streak - it's consistent across time since he took charge.

They will lose at home this season. They haven't been great this season and someone will beat them at Anfield. Hopefully we do them.

If there was ever a time for them to lose this streak it's now when they have a few players out. A team in this league needs to step up and actually test them instead of turning up hoping for a draw.

April 2017 - Palace were last team to beat them. Great record although given it's not currently October 2021 might want to amend the OP's mathematics of '4.5 years'.

Isn't it bad enough that we have to admit that Liverpool is better than us (for now)? Now we are making threads to stroke their ego even more?

Yes they will. All things come to an end and I can see Klopp sticking around for a few more years in Liverpool so there's plenty of time to do it. Remarkable record though, if that's true. Didn't Jose do something similar in his first stint at Chelsea (obviously not as long)?

.... it would be just like United to go on a really crap run of results before that game and then win :D . Also a Jose masterclass with Spurs could happen, with a 7-2-1 formation and a Harry Kane/Son goal just nicking it. It will probably just be an unexpected club that does it.

This. Why is this game forgotten ?
I think it's the PL games where they are unbeaten at home since 16/17 - do recall them losing to Chelsea a couple of seasons back in the Carling Cup (Hazard scored a great a goal).

We’ll beat them there this season, with an Ole tactical masterclass.

Weird thread.

The answer is yes, probably fairly soon, and probably multiple times this season.

Think we'll lose a home game this season, and I think it'll be against a midtable team that no one expects us to lose to. We've been lucky that our very bad performances have come away from home so far.

40-3-0 since the start of 18/19 is crazy impressive though. I think Chelsea's record under Mourinho is somewhere in the 80s? Would be nice to beat that.

Didn't realise that they haven't been defeated in 4.5 years. Wow that is isane record. Considering smaller pitch I can only think that their pressing style is more efficient at home combined with home crowd.

There is no way they'll lose again this season. They'll definitely not lose 5

I think Mane has a really mental stat of never losing at Anfield in the PL since he joined

No, it's statistically impossible for them to lose at home.

Hopefully they lose before a)Mane breaks Drogba's record of league games undefeated at one stadium and b) they break our club record of 86, by my maths they will break it around December next year if no one can win there.

They won't get close our all comps record though (of 2 years 7 months not sure exact number of games) nor will any of their players trouble Essien's personal record of 100 all comps unbeaten at one ground, thank you Morata!

It will never happen they’re so good at home . Probably looking at another 4-5 years. And you can quote me on that

Those are some weird records  admittedly not as weird as Thiago’s passes made in one half after being 2-0 up against 10 men Chelsea, but still.
The other club records you mentioned above are impressive, though.

As United supporters, we can only admire and wonder if we will ever be a good team again.

In my defense I only know it because some Liverpool fan posted on twitter that Mane held that record (and this was a year ago when he was still on less than 50) and a Chelsea fan countered it with all the guys from us who played a significant part of our record that had more than him.

Well I say that I knew Essien didn't lose at The Bridge for 5 and a half years but I had no idea until then it was bang on 100
