I've just assumed it was because he used the N-word in a hostile context as opposed to what Cavani did here, but that was that. I think it's safe to say most football fans will be coming from the same place and it's a tough job to explain to them exactly what the differences are between what We / Evra claim Suarez did and what Cavani did.

I wondered about the context, and he wasn't insulting anyone. So what? He said it, plenty white people said it in non-offensive manner and it slides off. Like Bill Maher, Louis C.K. used it in his joke but within context and non offensive.
