We are the most in form team in the league.

Different shape to mine, hate the diamond and feel we will lose if we play it.

No but I’m asking you if you legitimately believe we had the funds to spend 180 million during a period of dramatically decreased revenues?
No we didn't. I said all summer Sancho was unlikely.

We had the funds for Grealish though. And that's who Ole wanted. Should have paid it.

We are playing Pogba, a prat who stands by while his agent disrespects the club. You can’t compete with mercenaries like him in the fold.
You not watch the CL game? We couldn't compete without him either so.

And it was clear we would be through if he has started. He should leave in the upcoming windows but we will need a replacement cause the players we have aren't good enough

I won’t be surprised if we win today. I will be surprised if we win and play well .

looking at the lineup, I like that Pogba is playing in an advanced position and we have our double pivot combo of Fred and mctominay. Strong lineup, but we will rely on our fullback to provide that natural width.

Never seen Pep play two sitters in a 4-2-3-1 since 2016-17. Hopefully it’s a tactical mess up and we win. Pogba inspires zero confidence though. Ole is a desperate man. Any competent, secure manager banishes Pogba to the reserves and uses Martial, VdB or even James instead, just because of his behaviour. Honestly, it just makes Ole look like a doormat loser. Harsh but true, and you all know it. Still though, hope we absolutely destroy City, no matter my feelings about the manager.
They've been playing 4-2-3-1 a lot this season.

Pattern of play for the game:

City to dominate early possession and create a plethora of chances, hit the post.

G Neville to claim city have been "Absolutely brilliant"

City will score a deserved goal, 1-0 up.

United make a slight improvement, but city get them on the counter. 2-0 at HT.

United play better 2nd half, but it's still quite even.

United eventually get 1 back in the 70th minute. Game on??

Nope, sucker punch 5mins later as city score a 3rd and kill the game.

    Final score 1-3
    Spoiler this, please.

The thing is, looking at that City lineup, you’d think we would be able grab a result, but just have no idea which Utd team is going to turn up today. I’d have dropped De Gea sometime ago now, I think he makes an already nervous defence even worse.

well quotes don't count if no one knows about them. they broke on tuesday - you can spin it anyway you want but it's one goal - and that was going in until it hit Maguire
It puts the pearl clutching of “How could Raiola disrespect Manchester United fans the day before their most important game of the season!111” into proper perspective. God bless the mouth-frothers who seem to think the world rotates around their narrow perspective.

Finally some sense in this thread. Ole clearly the worst human being in the entire planet, and all those who don't see it are just blinkered fools.

List of the worst people in the world right now :

    1. Ole
    2. Trump
    3. Boris Johnson
    4. King Jong Un
    5. Cuneyt Cakir
    Bit dramatic

I don't even know what that means... and I doubt you do

Could be a diamond. Could be Pogba on the left of 4-2-3-1. Could McTominay in a back 3.

I've no idea which one I prefer.
Just realised... it might also be a 4-2-2-2.

Actually, That's the formation I prefer most. I'd just be a bit unsure about Shaw and AWB as wingbacks.

Yeah, okay, he did well off the bench.

When has he ever dominated a big game for us though?

    For me it's definitely 4/2/2/2.

They aren't great defensively but have improved on last season.
That was a typical Jose "masterclass" 2 goals from 2 shots on target 34% possession.
Yes they have improved but their defence is still poor, particularly against a counter.

City has kept clean sheets against a number of very weak teams, making their defence look statistically better than it actually is. They have conceded to each of the opposition from the top half of the table (spurs, Liverpool, West Ham and Leicester)

Man City's control of possession limits opportunities for the opposition, which hides their defensive failings. The opportunities will be there, we just have to convert. Spurs defended well and were clinical upfront.(it would likely have been 3-0 if not for Kane drifting offsides).

Defend well and be clinical, and we will win

I'm ashamed to follow same club as you. What kind of mentality is this?

You're either a wind up merchant and not a Utd fan or you're clearly very troubled as a person.

Anyone who hopes we lose the Derby is an absolute joke of a fan. A disgrace even.

    Pathetic.
What? Where did I say I wanted us to lose?

You Ole Obsessives are weird. I’m a very troubled as a person because I think Ole is a terrible manager? Jesus...

I don't know if you're being serious, but I actually think Pogba could be quite good up front. His movement in the box is better than Martial's, and probably second only to Cavani's in the squad imo.

The tricky bit would be stopping him from dropping into midfield to pick up the ball all the time.

In any case, it's not an experiment Ole would try for the first time in a massive derby.

Like that camo warm up top. Our warm up and training gear is so much nicer than our actual kit

agree bout DDG. Watched the newcastle game and in the first five minutes Martinez came out and threw himself at the feet of an onrushing Wolves forward. Compare that to DDG for Leipzig's third goal in midweek. he really is one of the least brave keepers I've ever seen

Isn’t it pretty clearly a diamond? I honestly don’t get where this 4222222222 formation people keep talking about comes from when I haven’t seen us in that shape at all (happy to be corrected).

Why do you even follow football or this team? Frankly pitiful that a grown man feels like this. perhaps its indicative of other issues?
Another example of an Ole obsessive suggesting I have issues because I don’t rate Ole. It’s like a cult.

You lot always have to make it personal. I’ve never said anything remotely personal.
