No. That’s insane.

The FA needs to be burned to the ground.

This is a such a passive weak willed country. The guy did nothing wrong. The FA is being racist. But people are advocating for a prehistoric entity here. This is not what we should get owith.

The FA needs an education. It is simply too far behind the times to rule on this kind of thing.

This how dragged out nonsense has been ridiculous from start to finish. I hope Cavani writes the same thing after every match. Shit, he can tweet it at half time if he likes. Every South American footballer should follow suit. It’s infuriating.
What a stupid post. I have to laugh

What I find really annoying is that there are more insidious examples of racism that go ignored, or at least go unpunished. I remember numerous pundits saying that Lukaku was a bad buy for us and that we should have gone for the more intelligent Morata (this despite the fact that Lukaku is a hyperpolyglot and by all accounts a very intelligent young man.)

What a weird example.

"A comment posted on the Manchester United FC striker’s Instagram page was insulting, abusive, improper and brought the game into disrepute"

But It wasn't insulting or abusive. Okay, I'll give you improper and it certainly bring the game into disrepute

The FA at us again. We are 3 points from the top with a game in hand and they ban one of our more influential players. Do we have a spanish speaking fan that can explain the meaning and the cultural context of Cavanis tweet?

Its the new norm about political correctness. Being old school I'm frightened to open my mouth for fear of accidentally saying something that upsets the snowflakes.
"political correctness" and "snowflakes". Throw in something about safe spaces, people being triggered and liberals, and you've touched all the bases.

Negrito in that context just means "pal" or "buddy". It sometimes has roots in someone's physical characteristics (hair, skin colour, etc.) but not always.

Cavani banned when no racism intended - feck OFF

Millwall fans booing during taking the knee, obvious racist intent meant (screw their apologists) - NOTHING

The FA reach a new low.

White people being outraged on the behalf of people of colour again, despite the very apparent cultural appropriation.

There's some irony in this somewhere.

Ah, but remember intent and meaning are irrelevant in our wonderful and enlightened UK society.

Don't worry, we'll teach those South American primitives culture and manners yet. For the King and country.

Southampton game was 1 month ago.

seems like they waited for Cavani to get fit before charging and banning him.

Thanks mate. I imagine it's what Suarez said to Evra. That was obvious but this seems too much. Out of context and nobody can really prove his intentions.

I think we're at a point now where words are considered to be worse than actions.

It's not what Suarez said to Evra at all. Suarez used the term "Negro" and when Evra asked Suarez why Suarez was pinching him, Suarez responded "porque eres negro" which means "because you're black". When Evra challenged him Suarez responded with "I don't talk to blacks".

No, it's not what Suarez said. Damn, people need to educate themselves when trying to pass judgement. It's a travesty.

Reported FA to kickitout. Clearly racist to imply that their understanding of uruguyan lingustics and culture is the right one and all the natives are wrong, or that english culture as a whole is superior to others.

Did you email Liverpool to see if they have any T Shirts?

If this is the precedent the FA wants to set, they need to go out of their way to provide cultural training to all new foreign signings.

I wonder how many complaints were made to the FA due to it being abusive and insulting?

Zero if I were to hazard a guess.

Outrageous decision, seriously.

Still only the second greatest miscarriage of justice in this mans career. Here you can see him being sexually assaulted and then getting a second yellow for it when his attacker pretends he got slapped in the face.

this is an example of taking PC to the absurd, total disgrace.
one can't take a conversation in another language, which isn't racist or abusive in any way, and "translate"it into something that isn't there.
my wife is Uruguayan and I myself traveled a lot in S. America. no way was that racism. people in S. America refer to characteristics of people - black, skinny, fat, red, turk etc etc.

but I wasn't surprised for the least. After Scholes and Rooney being banned for a red in a friendly and Rio receiving 8 months for not showing up for a drug test (stupid as that was) which is more than what players got for actually getting caught...

Shame though, he was just getting going. Hopefully back in a roar against Liverpool

The FA were always going to go down this road as they are too scared of the consequences if they dont.

That is the world we live in ... evolution of the human being has gone into reverse ..

Kids today just want to be on Youtube and act stupid for clicks.. fakes and snowflakes dominate.

Watch The Surrogates film to see were we are headed.

Happy new year to you all :)

Will he be banned for Liverpool game? I just read this as first news of 2021.
