You just know this is going to get a lot uglier before people can even begin to think about cleaning up the last 4 years' mess.

Won’t happen with Manchin. He already ruled out packing the courts, and giving statehood to DC has not been mentioned by any of the Dem leaders.
That's why Republicans would continue to kick Democrat ass when it comes to governing any day of the week. Democrats don't know how to use the power and it's why Mitch continues to watch them dead in their face, smile and be a hypocrite. He knows Democrats haven't a clue how to use the power given to them. Pack the courts, give DC and PR statehood with 3 Senators and remove the filibuster. That alone should send Mitch to an early deserved and miserable retirement.

I know it's rare for the incumbent party to gain senate seats in the midterms, but are there any realistic R seats up for grabs in the 2022?

Watching Fox News and it's horrific. They are interviewing people that are certain that the election was rigged and, of course, the reporter isn't asking them what specifically is rigged. They are just nodding their heads like it's true. It's so damned disgusting.

Depends on the environment and the candidates, Rubio (FL), Grassley (Iowa), Johnson (WI), Portman (PA) and Burr (NC) are seats D will be looking to contest.

On their side, the most vulnerable will be Hassan in NH, Cortez-Masto in NV, Warnock in GA, Kelly in AZ.

It’s not the worst map to play defense, but you are still looking at a D+7 environment at least to not lose any of the seats above. At D+5 it would be dicey, any lower then they likely lose 1-3 seats.

So with these two wins what's the majority in the Senate? I'm too lazy to look it up. Basically I want to know if the Democrats will need Manchin to do anything.

Yes. And Kelly and Sinemma (sp?) and all the barely blues.

50/50 - VP Harris with the tie breaking vote.

Hmmm, I see. Thanks for that!

50-50, but in case of a tie the VP gets to cast the deciding vote.

50 each. VP elect Harris is the tiebreaker.
Thanks. So we're unlikely to get anything meaningful passed in the next 2 years but hopefully the Democrats aren't stupid enough not to pass 2000$ checks.

Wait, so is he saying that these runoffs are legit then? Because why would you ‘need the presidency more than ever’ if they are fraudulent?

MAGA logic.
