I think we should all stop caring. Post something negative if that's the way you feel, be positive if you want. However if coming to this forum and reading negativity affects you in a bad way, you should take a break from the caf or just leave.

Because I’m from Manchester & my family do. It’s not as simple as choosing a team, there was no choice. I couldn’t support another team, sure, I could pretend to, but deep down I’d still support United. It’s all I’ve ever known. Why do you support United? I feel like some on here would rather finish 2nd with a team of academy graduates then win with a team of foreigners. All I want is for United to be on top winning trophies. The nationality or background of the players is irrelevant to me.

I've come to really hate the fans of this club but ultimately its methods isnt going anywhere because the way the fans believe being dickhead to its worst players and worst managers ultimately will bring out success is the way it supports its club.
They dont believe in stability, in slow progression of players or a team, in support to people or players who may need it from a club, I barely hear much support without a quick negative response soon as the opportunity arises to because ultimately that success and that quick as possible success is ultimately is what's most important to alot of people.

That's pushing it a bit isn't it? I mean you being a Manchester lad. I'm the same, born in Withington Hospital, had no choice (not that I regret it mind). Must admit homegrown players, and not necessarily those born in Manchester, are a bit special. Greenwood's development makes it more interesting if you know what I mean. Rashford coming from Wythenshawe isn't my favourite player just for what he does on the pitch either. Look at what Phil Foden's doing at city. Amongst all those big signings and big names and him, fom Stockport becoming a regular. Fantastic achievement! The only problem is, he plays for city and not us!
How would you feel if two Norwegians bought the club and built a new stadium in Dublin, changing the name to Europe United? At what point would sentiment set in? Or would you just shrug and head for Etihad?

I was born in withington hospital too haha! But no, honestly it doesn’t really bother me how many local lads we have in the team. I’ve always looked at it as just who so I enjoy watching. I loved watching Scholes & Beckham as a kid without even thinking about them being academy lads, then as a teenager it was Ronaldo & Rooney, over the last few years it’s been Pogba & Martial (when in form obviously nowhere near as consistant as the previous lot) I just really like technical flair players, which is why player like McT who the caf love don’t really appeal to me, obviously I hope he performs, but I don’t look forward to seeing him play. I know I’m in the minority but I just don’t care about having a strong academy presence in the team. I’m not against it either, but it’s not something I see as important.
I don’t know because we wouldn’t be Manchester United anymore & we’d be playing in the Irish league so it wouldn’t be the same club. I’d probably just stop watching football. The type of players I like are dying out anyway, we’re in the pace & power age now. You barely see flair players who make you leap out of your seat any more. I definitely wouldn’t support City.

You lot are having your own arguments here. No one is saying that you can’t rate skill over passion. The issue is that you and others have called Ole “the worst manager in the league” and an “ embarrassment” consistently on here.
This is an actual quote from you, “If Ole by some miracle wins something, i am fecked here.” The issue isn’t that you rate some players over others, it’s that you’re supporting the club wrong.

There is a correct way to support a football club. That is obvious. You don’t wear half and half scarves. You don’t wear Fellaini hats in the stadium. You don’t sit there on your phone all game. You don’t tut when others around you sing a song.
This would all be relatively accepted.
I have posted people on this thread who have posted constant shite. Constant. Eventually, some people will try and get a semblance of a decent conversation back. That isn’t crying, it’s the adults in the room saying “listen, this isn’t good enough-we need to be better.”
quite frankly if you think posts calling Ole the worst manager in the world, a fraud and an embarrassment are fine; if you think nicknames such as Rashford, Rashbeck, Carsick, O’Shit etc etc are alright names to call our players; and if you don’t understand why playing homegrown players means more then others than simply you’re doing it wrong.

Have to say, I tend to avoid this forum when United lose for a couple of days because the level of hatred is astounding. Unfortunately, that now seems to be creeping in when we draw now.

I personally get tired of the petty arguments in the performance threads regardless of results but from my perspective whilst you & some others may turn off, loses/draws look to engage more members.

It's not my job to attract members to Red Cafe. It's for Niall (I think that's who owns the site) to shape the direction of it if he wants to. People will then post or not post accordingly.
I don't actually think I'm one of the people you're necessarily talking about as I don't really post about United much but that's not for me or anyone but those who run the site to care about at all.
