Really hope he's overlooked at the euros this summer. He's massive for us, and I fear for him if he didn't get a break.

Balls to that! I want to win the Euros, and Shaw over Chillwell is a massive game changer.

He’s a better footballer than the midfielders we played today and could probably play centre mid for us.

Shaw was one of very few tonight that looked like a Man Utd player. Fair play to him, I've given out to him in the past but he's proved me properly wrong. He's been very, very good this season. One of a handful who, if United were serious about selling, top clubs would be interested in if he wanted out. Most of our players wouldn't even be seriously looked at by Everton or Aston Villa.

I saw a stat the other day that only Sancho and Messi have created more chances this year than Shaw, that's mental

EDIT: my mistake it wasn't Messi

I don't get comments like this. We just won a very important game without much problem 1:0 and played good as a team, should have scored more. Most of our players on the pitch tonight, if not all, would walk into the Everton and Villa sides. I thought the Lingard example has shown that our players are underrated from a lot of our own fans.

Back to topic: Shaw is such a joy to watch at the moment. For me our player of the season so far. (Sry Bruno). Southgate 100% will not be that stupid to overlook him for the Euros. I expect him to start for England during the upcoming international break.

Everton or Villa wouldn't be interested in Bruno, Pogba, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial, Cavani etc?

Really would love to see us try him in midfield with telles at LB.

Fernandes, Fred and shaw in a 3. He’s such a natural footballer.

It's ridiculous that our forwards aren't firing enough. Easily could have surpassed Robertson numbers of last year

I would never waste our best player atm and move him to midfield just beacause we aren't capable to build a competent/competitive midfield. Crazy! He isn't the new Lahm or Fabinho. We have to start playing out best players in their best position and bring quality players in.

He's sure (Shaw?) got his head in gear hasn't he? Looks like a different man. Hope he cracks on and hope Ole continues to get the best out of him. Dunno if Ole has told him to or Shaw is just more confident but the attacking runs he does and bursts in to the box are bloody great fun.

Not a bad shout actually. He could be our own Kimmich or Cancelo

Wasted? Midfield is the most important position on the field and you want your most composed players in that position.

he would make a fantastic CDM, but obviously he’s a great LB also.

shame we don’t have a better attacking RB so he can tuck inside more often.

He was put under pressure several times by his teammates today. Especially Fred played it back to him while he had 2 West Ham players around him...

BUT, he always found a way out with ease.

Great game yet again

Of a squad of 25 you've listed 1/5th, the better fifth. Many of whom are best in exactly the same position. Our squad is strong in one or two areas and anemic in most others.

You really think clubs at the level of Villa would not be interested in the following?

DDG
Henderson
AWB
Maguire
Bailly
Pogba
Bruno
Rashford
Martial
Greenwood
Amad
Cavani

McTominay, Fred, Lindelof would all have a deecent shout too.

So would they be interested of the majority of our first 11?

Martinez has been easily better than our keepers.

AWB? In anything other than one v ones he's subpar.

Is Bailly obviously better than Villas centre back options? On paper maybe but as he's made of paper we hardly see.

Pogba, Bruno, Rashford. Okay.

Martial? Talented. Obviously going to displace Watkins? Not on this season's form.

Greenwood, yes.

Amad. Who knows. Too early to tell.

Cavani? Maybe four years ago when he could stay fit.

So we add Luke Shaw to your list and I make that 20% of a squad of 25. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

If we didn't have Bruno would we actually even be ahead of the likes of Villa? I think you are one of many massively overestimating our squad. Just cos it's expensive doesn't mean it's value for money.

Brilliant again.

Start him against AC Milan. Nothing against Telles but we need to go through so play our best team.
