If he was a West Ham player they would be asking 80 mill for him. Watch him get sold to them for 10.
Well not £80m but yeah they'd definitely want more than the £10-15m they'll pay us. But theres a reason for that West Ham probably wouldn't want to lose him where as he's not good enough for United and we're clearly looking to sell.

In the England squad again. Couldn't have turned out better his loan for him and us.

I think 20 million won't be too steep when he leaves in the Summer. Good business for us if we get a deal like that done.

Confidence is such a massive thing.
The change has done him wonders.
I am so happy for him.

He was this good for us as shown by his seasons under Jose and Van Gaal.

Good player.

Has Lingard ever had such a good goalscoring form with us? He did score vital goals for like a period of 6 months to 1 season but that was it.

Great for him. We'll get a lot of money in the summer and he'll be happy at a club where he's loved. Win-win.

There was never any reason why he had to be so completely axed from the squad in the way that he was. He has always had this in his locker.

That is likely because he's a 10 who has been played on the wings form most of his United career. When played as a 10 he delivered and did the same for England.

Happy that he has his confidence back, the dilemma now is if ole decides to keep him I think he may have to be a first teamer to get the best out of him as seen with west ham.

Have to say a front 3 of - Lingard-cavani-James would be a nightmare for defenders in terms of pressing from the front.

Form is temporary etc
A player capable of repeated bursts of this sort of form is a good player. In Jesse's case, there are clear reasons why his form was sporadic. Firstly and most importantly being sporadically played in his preferred position. Secondly, he is clearly a confidence player and was robbed of that by his manager throwing him to the wolves when he needed an arm around the shoulder.

He will not produce the same here at United, let him go now that he’s upped his value, we do not need him either

Let's not rewrite history. He was one of our worst players for the last 2 whole years. Good to see him back in form.

He was axed because he was completely shite for ages. That was a good enough reason at the time
I would have had no complaints with him playing a role from the bench. But to be axed completely from the squad even after looking decent when given the odd chance was strange.

If he plays like that until the end of the season, isn't it fair to say he would be a starter for us as well? Or is it more that we don't have the position for him as we have Bruno playing in the 10?

His movement is so good and at last he looks like he is enjoying football again.
Yeah, he is just buzzing around, taking on players, beating them for fun and linking up so well. His energy, movement, link up is all very good.

This is a weird one. Its easy to look from the outside and see how Ole froze him out, but as a United fan, we did witness Ole giving him lots of chances. He had some problems off the field though, so this slump was way worse than his previous ones.

Unproductive, yes but not useless. Jesse is not a world-beater and we required him to be so his lack of productivity looked terrible. There were games where he could have played and he certainly was always a better bench option than Dan James.
