No you'd be unconscious on the floorfascinating
i'd say it after i wake upNo you'd be unconscious on the floor
I think he was panicking, he was almost out against the fence and I think it was a last chance swing to try and stay in the fight. A desperation shot. But I think he knew that he was coming in for the kill.Very happy for him
But Stipe ffs. Surely the game plan was, get to that 4th round. What was he doing rushing in after getting clocked??
He was stunned. Imagine trying to remember your game plan after being flattened by Ngannou, never mind actually implementing the plan.Very happy for him

Stipe should definitely retire. He has proved his point. He is probably the greatest heavyweight of all time. What is he, 38?Once Stipe didn't just take him down successfully, but went into massive trouble doing it, it was basically game over.
Not sure there is a need for a 3rd fight after this. Stipe should just enjoy deserved retirement. It is Ngannou time.
Would Lewis not get a shot after Jones if he doesn't lose in the meantime?Fairly predictable. I’d imagine there will be a third fight after Jones.
Jones loses imoDoes anyone actually think Jones can withstand what Stipe couldn't ? Highly unlikely.
A much smarter fighter than Stipe, But will be tiny compared to him. No clue what will happenDoes anyone actually think Jones can withstand what Stipe couldn't ? Highly unlikely.
Absolutely. I'm 3-5 down vs Stipe betting wise in the last 8 fights. Only time I had him winning was vs JDS.If Stipe wins tonight you probably have to put him as the best ever heavyweight in ufc history.
Also probably has to be the most underrated. Guilty myself, I nearly always predict him to lose. Just going through his previous fights and trying to remember each of them. I think every time I went against him
I'm already hyped for the event! If Jones was to win his legacy would level up hugely, the size difference is so big though.Jones vs Ngannou is going to be one of the most hyped fights ever
Yeah, 38 and will be 39 if there will ever be fight number 3.Stipe should definitely retire. He has proved his point. He is probably the greatest heavyweight of all time. What is he, 38?
Other than Blaydes, the rest were well past their primes. He also lost to the Black Beast. That’s why he badly needed the win against Stipe.Ngannou's resume is already one of the most impressive at HW.
Cain, JDS, Overeem, Arlovski, Blaydes x2 and now avenged a loss against Stipe in devastating fashion. Beating Jones would obviously be massive too if it happens.
Arlovski absolutely. Overeem was 6-1 in his last 7 though, only losing to Stipe. That was a no.1 contender fight at the time for both guys. JDS was also on a 3 fight win streak. Not saying they were at their absolute peak but they were better wins at the time than they look now (Ngannou blasting them surely affected their subsequent skids too).Other than Blaydes, the rest were well past their primes. He also lost to the Black Beast. That’s why he badly needed the win against Stipe.
Blaydes x2, Cain and Stipe. 3 good wrestlers. I think that's enough sample size.Really happy for him, he's got obvious physical gifts, but he's definitely humble in his approach and has put in the work necessary to get to where he is now. I'd like to see how he handles more wrestlers (like Jones), to see if he's really gotten better in defending them, just too small of a sample size to really tell. But if he's really ironed out this part of his game, he's a problem for anybody, and I don't see how Jon Jones or Stipe deal with him. Let's also see how he handles the fame and pressure of being the champ.
