Brilliant, brilliant player. Give him service and he's gold. He has flaws but when we actually pass and cross the ball well, he's an animal.

Unless Kane or Haaland are a realistic option for us this summer then we do what we can to keep him and strengthen elsewhere in my opinion.

Great performance and thank feck we signed him given how Martial's season has went. If he stayed I think we could go without signing another striker but no point keeping him if he wants to go home. Happy I got to see him in a Utd shirt even if it was just for one season.

This performance came out of nowhere but today he showed himself to still be top class on his day. A proper old school centre forward with huge footballing intelligence. We need to extract everything we can from him before he goes back to South America.

Best game he's had for us, and it's not even close. Had done nothing recently but was clearly bang up for it today and it showed!

Ralf Rangnick.
Sheesh. He was on flames today. Dier will need a lie down after that, he was absolutely bamboozled out there.

I struggle to think of anyone in the league with better movement than him in the box. He's absolutely incredible at it.

Vintage performance from El Matador.

We should move heaven and earth for a second season and then beyond that a strikers coaching role. I love everything about him.

Not seen that level of performance from Cavani since he won us the match away against Southampton. Fantastic diving header, had a goal harshly ruled out in the first half and his shot led to Fred scoring the rebound.

Monster performance and don't forget the header in our own box preventing an easy headed goal if he didn't get his head on it

Take a bow, Cavani!
I need really shut myself up!
Just a few days ago, I said here our play doesn’t suit him, and he is not a good match for us. Then, witnessed this game. I am so amateur and naive to think these elite pros can’t play differently the other days.

Is there anyone in the world better at diving headers than Edi?

Scored very good goal which was robbed off him, huge part is equaliser and a very good header for the winner. Proper 9 performance.

Guessing his performance today might have changed a few negative opinions on edi. Been poor the last couple of games but probably just needed time to get upto speed. Would probably be inclined to extend his contract unless we are confident we can sign haaland or a good alternative

I think Cavani has been very important in us stepping up a level. He has a very strong mentality and great all round game.

If he goes in the summer we'll have to replace him with top quality.

Top lad and the best no7 we had since Ronaldo, half sad fact. He can hand it to Haaland at the end of next season. People also underestimate pressing abilities of strikers, unless you are messi or Ronaldo you really have to work hard off the ball. Incredible we put so much faith in lazy Martial, only after you see a semiretired proper no9 in action you see the difference.

A proper striker performance. Great anticipation and off the ball movement. Also worked his socks off as usual.

Ole's past match interview for me suggests cavani has made his mind up due to being homesick and ideally wants to be back in South America.

However, no club in South America can pay him 250k a week so I wouldn't be surprised at all if we give him an offer he simply can't refuse.
