What a waste of a career from a sporting perspective. To spend his entire peak in bloody Ligue 1. What a coward. At least he’s made ungodly amounts of money I suppose. He could have been a legend of elite football, instead he’s more of a “what if” story.

I hope for Mbappe’s sake he leaves, otherwise that’ll be another top player wasted. Reduced to a handful of meaningful CL games a year.
I wouldn’t call it waste of career since Neymar has won everything in Barcelona to be fair.

He did very well yesterday but Juventus was totally shite anyway so any centre backs could actually perform very well against Pirlo’s shite tactic. But you can see what AC Milan is trying to do here, buying their asset (player). Young centre back for long term and if he becomes top centre back and a team from EPL wants to buy him, they can demand very high fees for profit.

The amount of CR7 hate in here is weird, glad Cavani has signed an extension.
Yeah IF we had no major pressing issues in the first XI at all then would be absolute no brainer whatever the Edi situation, however we have THREE of them at CB, CDM/CM & RW so it's a moot point for me

Now here's a raw yet "promising" defender who might make a move to a bigger club this summer. Note: I, personally, don't rate him as highly as others would.

Are Leicester banking on top 4 to secure this signing, or it's going through anyway regardless?
The latter.

If Leicester have submitted a formal offer to Lille for Soumaré, then you can expect this to go through barring any last-minute surprises from Lille. Typically, when a club submits a formal offer, they have terms agreed with the player and an offer that the player's reps would expect the player's club to expect. This doesn't necessarily mean that the transfer is done and dusted, of course, but it does mean that Leicester are in an advanced stage in obtaining Soumaré.

Would think the latter, forget he is a highly rated young player....£25m is not a huge deal. Paid more for Fofana and not in Europe, Brighton and Newcastle remember also paid similar fees for Bissouma and Saint-Maxim from France and they were certainly nowhere near the top four and vast majority of English players cost more than this fee too Calum Wilson even Ollie Watkins from the championship a bigger fee

Now go and get Varane & Sancho next, would throw in a CDM as well but there is no way we can afford to address all three positions this summer unless we are willing to sell TWO of DDG/Lingard/Martial
Cavani staying doesnt change the fact that a striker should still be our number one priority. We have had more 0 0 draws this season than any other team in the PL despite cavani being here.

Next season will probably be similar to this one for him, in and out of the side as he turns 35. We need a striker more than any other position.

Rice, Sancho and Varane, 2nd keeper will be too good a summer for us. Approx £240m

Sell Martial, Andreas, Dalot, Romero, De Gea, Tuazebe/Lindelof and Lingard. That's Approx £165m
Keep Mata and promote Amad for more games.

Net will be around £75m and wage bill will go down too.

Translation:

There's still a chance of this swap happening, but we won't see any potential developments until we enter the summer transfer window.

 Banter clubs. For Barca’s sake, I hope Laporta coming in has put a hold on this feckery. Juve are a lost cause.

Nedved was leaving the training and had a few things to say to the show as he received the Tapiro d'Oro in place of Andrea Pirlo. Most notably:
Pirlo and Ronaldo will stay at Juventus.

Another round of creative accounting so both clubs can weather the (financial) storm?

Can you please provide a breakdown of where you think we'll get £165m from sales?
Here's how I see it: Martial £40m, Andreas £10m (if we're lucky), Dalot £15m (if we're lucky), Romero free (out of contract), De Gea loan (Sanchez style, no one is paying a transfer fee AND 380k pw), Tuanzebe £10m (if we're lucky), Lindeloff £30m, Lingard £15m (last year contract).
I'm seeing 90m/110m depending on Lindeloff or Axel.

My numbers were similar to yours except De Gea for £35m and Martial close to £50m.

Wasn't aware of Lingard last year contract that would bring sales down.
