I wish these social media giants tracked the IP addresses of these fools, and then name and shamed them. It's utterly unacceptable for anyone of any skin colour to be targeted just because they look different to you or I. Throw rocks at these people for all I care, something needs to be done. What is more annoying, it's probably dumbass united fans upset at losing and taking it to a race level.

To the point of the post, Rashford has been terrible for over a year now, since he done his hip or back in against Wolves. The boy is 23 or 24, he needs a solid break. I have said this all season, he is playing with an injury and looks a shadow of himself. Maybe he is also distracted with all the work he does on the side, but Ole has badly managed him since his injury and I believe his form has suffered as a result. I really hope he does not go to the Euros for his own sake. Almost 300 games by time hebis 24, 18 months with an injury and in the limelight for years, people give him a hard time. I too get pissed off with his decision making, end product etc, but I think he is trying too hard at the moment, probably lack of confidence since his injury and mental tiredness.

Child feeder Marcus. He is a top lad and has a big heart no doubt about that. And he’s also been poor for us for quite some time IMO. So inconsistent. The bad games definitely outweigh the good games for him this season.
Id agree with you. Not sure if he’s good enough to start for utd, but has match winning ability , but can be incredibly wasteful.. I wonder if his best role is an impact sub

The number of times he could have passed to Shaw who was overlapping and didn't, and then lost the ball, was shocking.

Why give them the benefit of mentioning them? Maybe he wants to distract the fact that he was COMPLETELY SHIT tonight. Worst performance of the season.

Yes that's exactly what he's trying to do. You've figured out the evil Rashford's plan.

Wait, people actually blaming Rashford for going on social media, getting racially abused and saying well it's your own fault for going on it.

feck me. A low point for this place.

You genuinely believe Rashford doesn’t care?
He plays like he doesn't to be fair. His body language was wrong all game.

If he's playing badly because he's injured, then it's on Ole. He should've been subbed out. Buf if he's not injured, I hope to god we get some competition for him because he looks complacent out there.

I love him. He’s been injuries since Feb but still fights for everything. It’s on ole for me. Should have taken him out the firing line but I can’t fault the player
Thanks for saying that.

People are quick to forget imo.

Don't want to even listen to that. Disgraceful 'performance' in a cup final.

People, even famous people, should be able to use social media without being racially abused.
Of course, in principle you are definitely right but that's not the world we live in and that's not a world we'll ever see.

He's just not as good as his fans and he himself thinks he is. Plays like a neymar/bruno when he isn't.
I agree.

The guy obviously cares about the club and wants to perform, and I don't think we can question his commitment.

What I took away from that interview is that our lack of squad quality in depth is forcing players to keep playing through niggles. Fix that, and instead of having players like Rashford being forced to play through and giving reduced performances, we can rotate and rest them to so that the niggles actually go away. The added competition for starting spots would obviously help as well.

Literally victim blaming. I'm appalled.

As for the notion that Rashford doesn't care because 'body language' or some other nonsense. He quite clearly does care. It's madness to suggest otherwise.

There was one moment where he should've tracked back to defend a crossfield ball, but he was just walking back whilst Cavani came running back past him. He may love the club, but he needs to stop waltzing around the pitch when we're not in possession.

There were others guilty of the same, Mctominay was jogging back and ball watching whilst Cavani sprinted past him as well.

Rashford was rubbish last night but he’s clearly unfit and is out of form, the fact Ole
didn’t sub him off is pure incompetence.

I was willing to give him the benefit of doubt until I saw 34 year old Cavani closing down like a mad man on the edge of our own box, whilst 23 year old Rashford jogged disinterestedly next to him. That's no injury. If he can sprint after a ball he can sprint after a player. Whatever is wrong with him he needs to sort it out this summer.

He was average for most parts of the season. Sometimes even terrible but he bailed himself out by having some moments of brilliance or by scoring at important times.

Seems like Ole was gambling on those moments with Rashford all season long. This match was another example of how awful he was playing. I cannot understand why he was not subbed after 60 mins.

He can say what he wants.

Fact is he was crap last night, really crap. Movement, passing, decision making and effort - crap in every department.

When a guy 10 years older than you runs past you to defend that late in the game, you need to take a look at yourself.

He should have been hooked with Pogba in the second half.

He did play a lot of excellent passes to Shaw. Not every time but enough times. He’s in the team to take players on and create things so that’s what he should do. Just a pity he did it so poorly. And interesting that his best moment of dribbling came on the right flank.

He's passionate - a United fan through and through. Of course he cares, however, its clear passion is not enough. Yesterday, along with a lot of others, were below par yesetrday. Rashford has been out of form for a while, which is why its vital we sign another winger.

We've seen how Sterling has been dropped this season because his performances havent been quite up to scratch. That has allowed others like Foden to come in and take his chance. If we buy a Grealish or Sancho, then when one is off form, we can bring the other in.

This has become more and more apparent all season - we simply need more quality depth in the forward positions. Missing out on Sancho last summer was a huge blow - adding him would have given Rashford time to recover earlier in the season, and we wouldn't have missed Martial so much when he got broken.

Teams win games, squads win titles, and this summer we need to make the step from a great team to a great squad.

No, I do believe he cares, that wasn't what I wrote. He probably care more than most considering he is a boyhood fan. But this situation which for a large amount of matches where he seems completely disinterested from the get go needs to be addressed. It's like you can see after only a few minutes if he is switched on or not. If not, then he's completely off for the full 90 minutes.
Did he not mention injuries since September and having to play through it. I believe when a player is used through injuries, he is usually asked to manage his body for moments where can be most impactful. Dude the guy doesn’t even go into the box for corners these days considering his height/presence.
Maybe it’s the manager that should be questioned here for overrating his ability through injury.

They wear this playing while injured or knackered thing like a badge of honour, but it's hurting the team badly (again squad depth must be mentioned).

If he's truly unfit, he shouldn't be playing - he wins almost no 50/50s, in fact, he just gets out of the way of any potential contact, he rarely presses and jogs out of possession, and when he has it, let's be honest, he's rather wasteful. He's not doing to do his career or United for that matter any favours persisting that he can play when he obviously can't. Neither is Ole - or any of the backroom staff

I couldn't give a shit about his passionate interview after the performance he served up. He was absolutely garbage and has been all season pretty much.

He didn't play well and hasn't been in good form for a while now - but that's on the management to get him right. If he isn't playing well then don't play him from the start and bring him into the game when it opens up with tired legs.

He doesn't deserve the abuse he is getting, he's been run into the ground and we knew it would happen. The club need to find adequate cover/competition ASAP or he might be finished by the time he's 25.

What the hell is he doing on social media after a game like that? What does he expect? All of them are a gathering spot for some of the most toxic scum on earth. Football players need to get off this social media rubbish.
That’s right it’s the players fault for going on social media. Suppose he got what he deserved  Have a word with yourself

I agree. Fergie used to talk about burn out all the time, if we aren’t careful it’s going to happen with Rashford. He clearly needs a complete break. We need real quality so we can spread the load.

I think the passion in that interview was because he was badly hurting after other senior players had turned on him for that shocking display and total lack of effort, on what was a big, big night for most of them and for the club.
There would have been a lot of anger and disappointment in that dressing room and some of them will have vented their frustrations on the ones who didn’t carry their weight.

What baffles me is that a player can have a game like that where he couldn't give two fecks about trying to win yet act all passionate in interviews post-match. He talks a good game does our Marcus, but being disintered all game when your boyhood club plays a final? Hard to forgive, that.
One of the worst posts I have read on here.

He said something about injuries since September.

I would like to say to him,
"Listen Marcus, why have you been so selfish (playing even when injured and keeping fully fit players rooted to the bench) and a detriment to the team (giving 6/10 performances game after game, and a 4/10 performance in a major European Final), when you could have stepped aside for someone who is fully fit; and even miss a large chunk of games to fully recover?"

He was the same at the World Cup in 2018, saying the same things, 'It hurts us, we're hurting' etc etc.
He was abysmal at the World Cup, and he was abysmal last night in a Final.

I'm sick and tired of his politician like interviews.

He was even sulking on the pitch during the match yesterday, when he thought Shaw had failed to pass to him and it looked like the looping ball was going to go out of play; so he spat his dummy out and gave up - only for Shaw to stop the ball from going out of play and actually headed the ball down into Rashford's path; but guess what? Because Marcus was sulking he failed to even attempt to get back onside, and the offside was called.
It's that stinking attitude from him that I cannot stand.

Racist abuse is just unacceptable regardless. But Rashford acted like a child pretty much the entire game and should have been dragged off. Cavani running around like a man possessed @ 34 when he already has some trophies in his cabinet next to them just highlighted to me how far our frontline is away from world class.

Rashford is not the 1st and won't be the last to play in a European final after a long season carrying niggles, I don't think it even comes close to an excuse.

He isn’t injured. He isn’t suddenly not injured when he plays from the left but somehow re-injures himself moments after he’s told he’s starting from the right.

He's been watching too many Jordan Henderson post match interviews.

Passion this, sacrifice that. Just do your talking on the pitch.. and look for your team mates when you have the ball!

He played left last night.

He's clearly carrying a couple of injuries but lots of professional players do.
