And spend another year complaining about our right flank?
We need 3 signings at least: RW, CM and CB. Get us those 3 positions sorted and may be our furious fans would get off Glazer's back a little bit.
Why would you want us to get off the glazers back? Feck those parasites. Our fans are demanding and that's a good thing( to an extent).

Some of you need to realise that the transfer budget is finite and there are two more signings required after Sancho. The fee has gone down from last summer and the club is ironing out what will be the significant deal this year, every penny counts when we're up against City and Chelsea. It would have been outstanding business to wrap this up before EURO 2020 but also extremely difficult, particularly when dealing with a shrewd club like Dortmund. Relax and enjoy EURO 2020.

Something I have never understood maybe someone can correct me on:

A transfer window is a time to sign the contracts and physically sign a player, why don't we do 90% of our negotiations during normal season and complete the final 10% and sign the player early in the summer, especially when we have Euros in the summer.

It would make us look more efficient, less rushed, is there something I am missing?

Alot is also dependant on the clubs result at the end of the season - e.g. Dortmund qualifying for CL, us qualifying , Villa staying up last year, how your existing players do it etc.

We've signed 3 young right wingers under Ole already. Is Sancho really our priority this summer? Let's say we get him for 80 /90 mil. Is that really the best use of what probably is limited transfer funds? I think 50 mil on a dm and 50 mil on a cb would be much better for the team.
We've signed two, not three. James is a LW and much better suited there than on the right. Amad is still growing into professional football and we can't heap the pressure of him being a starter so soon into his career. While Pellistri badly needs a proper season of consistent and regular game time before we can really judge him.

The RW is needed because our team is horribly imbalanced (a legacy of the feck ups made by LvG and Jose) and teams currently know that almost all our attacking play is centred on the left, which makes it very easy for them to defend against us. That low block issue which is currently en vogue on the caf, will likely be much reduced when we will actually have a live threat on the RW every single game.

This saga is officially embarrassing now. It should end yesterday. Either United progress it the way transfers usually happen, or flip BVB off publicly and move to alternative targets. Sancho is not the only good RW in the world. We're a right laughing stock in the transfer market.

What would be the point of flipping them off publicly? All it would serve to achieve is sour the relationship between the two clubs and alert all the other clubs we’re ready to spend big on other targets. If they want more than we’re willing to pay then that’s just business, no need to say or do anything in public.

We are two days into the window and seemingly close to wrapping up a big money signing. Trippier deal seems to have progressed well too. All made more difficult by the Euros.

According to Bild first official offer was 60£ Million. Dortmund wants 75£ Million and some Bonuses

Yes quite clearly. Rashford cannot play every game, James isn't at the level required and Amad isn't quite ready yet to play every game.

So that leaves us with Greenwood, Martial and Mata. Not exactly title winning is it? add in 1 or 2 injuries through the season and we are struggling.

Our midfield is not the issue to why we don't win games.

Martial + £50mil for Sancho - yes please.
I just cannot see the point of Sancho, Greenwood, Amad, Rashford, Cavani, Bruno, James, Pogba and Martial all being here next season. Surely one or more of those have to leave - just for the sake of space on the bus! Our room bill must be astronomical as well its like going on tour with the blazing squad.

How are a new defensive midfielder and centre-back going to help us break down crap teams that sit back the whole game, like, say, in a Europa League final?

James has played 500 more minutes as a right winger than a left winger since joining us. If you're good enough, you're old enough in terms of Amad and Pellistri. I'd already have Amad ahead of james in the pecking order for most games. Pellistri i agree would probably benefit from another season on loan, maybe in the championship.

I hope you're right that a rw will fix our issues against the low block and a 80/90 million signing should at the very least improve it but I'm still of the opinion with our options in the squad , defensive midfield is the most pressing need.

Tonight Matthew, I will be Stavros Flately.

James will (hopefully) be sold. Pogba will ideally be moved back in midfield. Possibility Rashford misses the start of the season - depending what the whole surgery-after-Euros thing comprises of.

LW: Rashford, Sancho
ST: Cavani, Martial
RW: Sancho; Greenwood, Amad

There’s such a weird arrogant undertone that comes from the Dortmund camp when United make an offer that is lower than what they will accept as if that’s not how every negotiation ever has worked where the buying party start low and work their way up until it’s accepted.

A new cb and dm would help us push further forward by leaving less people back on the cover. A good dm could allow someone like pogba more license to move forward for eg. A cb who starts attacks by breaking the lines( passing or dribbling) is also a very common tactic in modern football currently.

So the asking price has dropped over 40m by waiting a year and this forum is in meltdown because our first bid is 15m short - it’s the 10th June…no chance this isn’t getting done and at a good price too. Everything obviously agreed with Sancho too.

It's going to be one hell of a summer:drool:.

C‘mom Woody! Leave on a high note, Sancho, Varane, a top DM and Kane.

Spend those Disney Dollars while you can lad...

WHY DO UNITED ALWAYS PAY TOO MUCH?!

WHY ARE UNITED NEGOTIATING?

The cognitive dissonance is mind blowing at times.
I mean, there's a lot of stupid things United have done in the market to throw at them, negotiating one of the biggest transfers ever or walking away from a drastically overvalued player are certainly not among it.

BVB were not asking for £115m + Add ons last year? wasn't the most reported figure £100m or £80m + £20m last year? If so the current figure of £75m plus uknown add ons is possibly a drop of £10-15m

£60mil is fine - feck them if they dont play ball. Next summer it'll be £40mil then the summer after its free I believe.
Sick of these germans coming over here eating our women, drinking our food, taking our best young talent and selling it back to us at ten times the price.
Jesus we let them win the euros and world cups dont we? And we let one of them poke the queens great grandmother - so its not like we are being unfair. Give em 1 inch they want 2, give em 2 they want 3, give a german a rope, he wants to be cowboy!!
